I hold owner Kevin singularly responsible, as he was awful to deal with. My wife and I asked the company to perform a number of tasks in our front and back yards. I should have known to stop the project before it started when Kevin couldn't even deliver an estimate on his timeline and I had to chase him to get it. His estimate seemed reasonable at the time if he had planned to send a few crew members to knock it out in a timely fashion. While weather delays were certainly not his fault, he primarily sent one excellent worker to do most of the job by himself. Kevin made token appearances, as did a few other people. I had to constantly repeat myself to Kevin throughout the project, who failed to ever do what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. His constant excuse-making and bogus apologies became laughable. Even with the weather, it shouldn't have taken this long to weed our front garden, remove a relatively small amount of grass and replace it with weedblock and mulch. I had to constantly chase Kevin to get things done. He even declared the project over without consulting with me -- even though the mulch he put down in the back (most of it free to him because our neighbor gave us theirs) was way too thin to do the job. He had told me clearly that multiple loads of mulch were included in the price -- mulch he was supposed to add in addition to my neighbor's pile. Tabori showed up at what they thought was the end with a pitiful pickup truck of mulch, which wasn't thick enough to even walk on without sliding on the weedblock. I had to demand he return with more, which his company finally did today. I will never use this company again. Despite the one excellent worker, Kevin was horrendous to deal with from start to finish. I've never written a Yelp review this negative, but I'd hate to see anybody waste their time and money the way we did. Kevin made this a stressful pain in the neck from start to finish -- and I've communicated that to him directly twice.

The owner answers your call and calls you back when needed. That is not something I have experienced often. Big company with 'treats you like family' appeal. Both jobs completed were exactly what I wanted and needed. The after work clean up is great! I enjoyed watching to experts work, it was like a well oiled machine the way the team worked together. I read the reviews on Springwood Gardens and saw they were mixed, but I decided to take a chance…read moreand see how things went. I have to say that working with Mr. Gibbs and Springwood Gardens turned out to be a good experience. He came for a look at the property, gave me an estimate and made some observations as to what more needed to be done, suggesting that a failing tree be removed, and offering to include it in the price he quoted me for the original job, which was to cut back the many ornamental grasses that line portions of my property and to prune a line of shrubs. A day or so later the trimming and pruning job was done. It took just a few hours and the cuttings were hauled off and everything cleaned up just as promised. Took a week and a half or so for the second part of the job to be taken care of, which was the tree removal. It wasn't a big priority, so the wait was not an inconvenience. That day both Mr. Gibbs and his team were present for the job, and I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently the work was done. In addition to those jobs, the owner offered three extra services that he included in the agreed-upon price that added additional value to my purchase. He had some left over mulch from another job that he offered me. It was enough to refresh one bed. And while the crew was there he asked my permission to have them do two other jobs--prune the shrubs in my front bed, and clean up the leaves in the front yard. I said yes, of course, and all the jobs were done to perfection. So, essentially, he killed two birds with one stone: he kept everybody on his team busy with useful jobs and made sure that he gave me added value. That's what a good businessman does, and I find it commendable. This initial experience has left me open do to doing more business with Springwood in the future. In terms of pricing, they aren't the lowest priced landscape business around, but neither are they the most expensive. I know because earlier in the season I got two quotes from two other businesses. One was outlandishly high, the other offered me a quote that required I buy a package deal that included jobs I didn't want done. Regardless of my appeals, the estimator would not budge off their bottom line, which was too high based on the work I wanted done. I was baffled at their level of inflexibility. I won't be calling them back. Mr. Gibbs, on the other hand, was flexible and helpful in working out what needed doing, and went above and beyond to make sure everything happened right.

I was so upset today that I had to pay another company to remove the weed! it was ridiculous! He did this last November! He removed the ground cover and gravel that I had laid back in 2022! It sickens me that he took advantage of me in this way. He took the wooden edging, a flower box and killed a hosta plant that I had for many years. He even took the pot that I had it in! I never asked him to do any of this. I only wanted an estimate of what I needed done. How dare him to start working and discarded all the work I had done years previously! I don't know how much a Creep Myrtle cost, but that is dead too. I should have sued him at the time. Don't know if I can still bring a lawsuit?
