No rating! I've had trouble with the daily review for some time. I've called on several occasions…read moreon why I didn't get my paper? They always say will bring out a new paper and it never happens. Today was the last straw, I called the daily review and told them for the 5th time I didn't get my paper. They offered a new paper I said NO! Then they tell me that my credit card declined for payment. I requested from the daily review to send me updates to when payments with be taken out. With that being said a month ago or so we had fraud on our old credit cards and had to be replace. Anyway, the guy on the phone said for me to relax. I said what! I'm telling you the complaints that I don't get my paper. Anyway, glad I canceled my subscription, no more problems. Bad service won't help you at all, just terrible people.

He started it in 1960 and ran it until the day he passed away in January 1975. My uncle then ran it on and off into the 80s. This newspaper was a way to unite the Portuguese community who had left their country to come to the Bay Area. Some of the articles may have been less newsworthy than others like the full page spread on my parent's wedding, but my grandfather loved people and loved life and loved his family and this paper was his passion and his way to bring that all together. I typed the word "Portuguese" into a Yelp search and this is the only listing that came up. I thought that was pretty amazing and I felt it was a sign that I should write about this paper and what it meant to my family and my grandfather, a wonderful man (I am told) who I never had the pleasure of meeting.
