I located this place on a groupon with a great price. It is easily accessed from rt59 and we got in without a wait. Due to covid we stayed in the car and it was serviced from below. No scrimping on the services and our air, water and battery was checked and brought to specs. Staff was extremely pleasant and clean and just got the feel of professionalism. After we got done, later we got a notice from carfax showing the service and a nice rundown on the car. This is a lease so this is great info to get. read more

Bright my VW MK7 GTI in for an oil change. I had gotten Groupon synthetic oil change as a gift and wanted to use it before it expired! Service was easy - there was no wait, sat in the car while they did the change. The attendants were very nice and wore masks. A few notes: 1) they pull the oil out the top, no drain pan. I was wondering if I'd need a replacement plug (a $2 VW/Audi part) but they didn't touch it! 2) there were a few extra charges: * Castrol Edge oil (I expected this) * cartridge filter fee (I didn't entirely expect this - I had emailed them in advance and this wasn't mentioned) Even with the extra charges, the price was still right on target. 3) I opted not to let them top off coolant - My car requires the G13 (pink) coolant and they only offer their "universal" stuff. In all, good experience. If you're going in for a change on a European car, just make sure you do your due diligence on requirements first and you should be fine. read more

Best oil change ever. I have been driving and getting oil changes for 30 years. Usually a pain in the but; but this was a most pleasant experience. From the moment I drove up , until fished I felt safe and comfortable I was told that you stay in car and was guided to drive into garage by masked friendly Mecanic . The garage is equipped with holes in floor so need for a lift. My oil change was efficient. Dave also informed me that my car takes 7 quarts not the standard 5. I had a prob where when on high the vent would blow black junk into car. Dave showed me my filter, which was filthy and told me the old one was in backwards. He even gave me a discount since I was i unaware that I needed more than 5 quarts and was using a Groupon. I will def go back. Hard to find reliable service these days. Highly recommended! read more

Absolutely the shadiest place I've taken my car too. I will never be going back and I hope I can save a few from ever having to experience the ineptitude of the employees and manager at this location. I came here to get a quick oil change (this was a mistake). I'm in the lobby waiting and then the woman comes in and says that my filters need replacing, I say no problem do it. 15 minutes later she comes back on and says I'm all set. Charges me 217.78 and at this point I have no invoice or idea of why it's so much but I go with it. Once I get my receipt and notice a 79.99 charge for a fuel injection service I did not agree to or want. I went back in to speak with her about this and she proceeds to dig through the garbage for a piece of paper she claims to have shown me with prices circled. I again say to her I wanted an oil change and agreed to have my filters replaced, that she never mentioned this fuel injector service, she just says that I agreed to it and that it was circled on the paper she showed me. I ask to speak with her manager at this point. He comes over and she tells him that I didn't say anything when she rang me up, to which I said it was because I didn't have a bill or invoice and wasn't sure why the amount seemed high. So I wanted to review my receipt before I over react. I looked at it for a minute noticed the OBVIOUS 80.00 overcharge and came immediately back in. The manager just smugly stated that no one gets a bill before they pay and did nothing to rectify the situation. Don't go here ,go somewhere with trained professionals and not shady crooks. My husband sent me to Castrol for a quick oil change - special 39.99 with coupon. Told the attendant I wanted the coupon special of $39.99 and preceded to pull in to bay! While I was there sitting he asked me what oil I wanted and I said the synthetic! Even though I told him I wanted the 39.99 special which states "synthetic blend" and I just said synthetic, he then charged me 69.99! Told me I failed to use the word blend so they charged me more! How utterly shady! I will never use that establishment again and I will tell everyone I know what thieves they are!!!! read more

Before I begin, I just want to say I've had good experiences at this location, but it only takes one bad experience, right? Essentially, the mechanic was negligent, didn't screw on the drain plug correctly, and eventually the vibrations of the engine loosened the cap fully, causing the car to leak oil and eventually stop functioning. I towed the car to Mavis and they confirmed that the cap was missing, they filled the car with oil and sent me on my way. A few miles down the road the car broke down again. It's a 2007 Honda Civic with a close to 200K miles. After you get an oil change, check their work. Pull out the dipstick, see if there is oil on it and take a look under your vehicle to see if there is leaking oil. Lesson learned, but I am exploring my legal options. read more

Took my BMW X3 to get an oil change. The service was decent. An hour after completing service. My car completely turned off, while driving. After numerous of issues. I called the location and they told me they would not look at it and I need to take it to my mechanic. Took my car to the mechanic. The mechanic informed me that location failed to put the oil cap on correctly, causing my car to shut off. This could have blown my engine if I didn't response as quickly as I did. This issued caused me to cancel my July 4th family trip. This lack of attention to detail will cause me to take my business elsewhere. In the past my wife had issues with this location. read more

They did recommend I do an oil flush for $49.99, probably pretty legit considering it's got 120k miles, and I don't ever remember having this service done. I stopped by Castrol this morning after seeing that they advertise a 10 minute oil change (which fits perfectly in to my hectic work day!) As advertised, I was in and out of there in 10 minutes -- and in the meantime, I was greeted by and spoke with the courteous and professional servicemen that were working on my truck about how to best care for it, without getting the "sales pitch" for a truckload (no pun intended) of costly services that my vehicle may or may not need. They informed me of other services that I may want to have done, without instantly throwing me an estimate or insisting that they could take care of it today. That alone was enough to make up my mind that this place is as good as it gets for car care and customer service. I accidently pulled in the front and got a huge attitude from one of the working and when I pulled around back he then just guided me into the shop, and got angry when I wasn't going in fast enough! Picked this place because I'm usually rather spoiled by convenience back home (places you can drive in the bay and just stay in your car level of convenient!). This place makes you get out of your car, but it's still very simple and quick. Small, clean waiting area with free beverages. Friendly interactions with the employees and clear communication - was told total ahead of time and given the choice of oil brands. Checked my air filter, fluids, tires - did not try to sell me anything additional even though my car is right at 100K. Placed protective covering on my seat and floor before they climbed in. I was really happy with the oil change at this location. They knew I was in a hurry and got my car right in. They found a nail in one of my tires and patched it for a very reasonable price. Definitely explained why my tire hadn't been holding air for the past month! They went through suggestions for my 90,000 mile check up and didn't pressure me to do, but merely made recommendations. My family has been customers of Castrol Premium Lube Express in Nyack for a few years and since I always have a good experience there I decided I should write a review. I never have to wait to get my oil changed when I arrive as they have three bays. The staff is friendly and don't try to oversell me on extras. I usually get out of there in less than 10 minutes as promised. The price is competitive but I continue to drive to Nyack bypassing other oil change places because I trust these guys. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Very Impressed with their service and customer service! I took my car in for an oil change & with 60K miles on it. All the people there are extremely nice. I wasn't sure if it ever had a fuel filter replacement & the car did need a fuel filter replacement. -Drove home, but the next time I got in it it wouldn't start. The owner, Dave actually came to the house and saw that a (original to car) plastic clip that holds the filter ,had snapped off. He said he stands by his work-went back to shop, got a car jack and tools and came back and fixed it! He even called my husband to tell him to make sure that I bring the car back to the shop for them to double check everything! Car is running great! Manager started blaming on design of car (LEXUS ES 300). He finally agreed to clean the spill. Manager was very discoutreous and when I left he ask me to never come back.
