They provide a wide range of both medical and surgical care for feline patients, including but not limited to Wellness care, Radiology, Surgical, Consultations for behavioral issues, etc. They have On-site pharmacy, ultrasound and x-ray services. For busy feline parents they offer early-morning "drop off" services and evening hours Mon-Thurs. The feline docs are both fantastic. I called the cat clinic yesterday and left a message. The recorded message said that the doctor would call me back as soon as he was able. It's now 30 some hours later and I've not received a call. I called this morning and was told by a recorded message that my message was important and if I left a message they would call me at their earliest convenience. It's now 6 PM and I have not heard a word even though I left a message that my cat was sick and I needed to speak with someone. The European lady at the front desk is SO rude. I just called there for an appointment for my cat bc she has a uti, but before I had my visit, I thought she was constipated. Therefore, I gave her a teaspoon give or take of Miri lax at home with wet food to help with the constipation. Well, once I told the receptionist this, she stated "that's way too much, oh no way too much" (mind you she's only the receptionist) and I said okay(big pause)well the miri lax ddnt work so I'm obviously still worried about my baby and would like an appointment...? Checking back to the conversation, the opinionated-airheaded lady finally gave me an appointment. The doctors and everyone else are fantastic, but they really need to get rid of the attitude at the front. read more

Used to be the best. But now when I have a very sick cat, no replies to messages. Finally got someone to answer the phone and was told to go to another ER vet. Did that. Cat needs follow up and after waiting 2 entire days, NO call back even after being promised a call back....twice. I understand things are difficult now but to not take 2 minutes to call back and refuse to make a follow up appt. for any day?? This is how a client of 10 + years is treated? Disgraceful. The entire staff at the Cat Clinic is absolutely fantastic. My cat is much more at ease at the site as she doesn't have to contend with barking and excited dogs to which she is not accustomed. This makes a much more relaxed and calm visit. I was always fortunate to have very knowledgeable vets in the upper Bucks County, PA area and when I moved to NJ I couldn't find a vet with the cat expertise that I had back home. However, once I found the Cat Clinic I couldn't have been happier. I worked at an animal hospital through high school and college with multiple vets and I find it evident that Dr. McCauley and staff are extremely adept at their craft. I took my 17 year old cat there today for shots and an eval for possible grooming with sedation. After her last annual visit at another vet, the poor old kitty was almost scared to death from dogs barking and rough handling by the staff. The other vet's office acted like she was shabby, decrepit and about to die....I just took her in for shots and a butt shave (not judgement). The darn cat was frozen and frightened out of her mind. I know my girl is a bit senile, and cant reach to groom well in the back, but otherwise is fine. Today I changed up and went to the Cat Clinic and they were soooo super sweet to my old girl. Talked to her so sweet and held her so gently. The vet was able to cut her nails and shave her hind parts quick and fast with NO FUSS....not one hiss or growl....which for her is amazing. In and out super fast...no sedation needed. They said she looked good for her age so yay! The best part.....no trying to upsell me on things she doesn't need! I wont take her anywhere else for regular vet concerns!! Great job Cherry Hill Cat Clinic!!! read more

Dr. McCauley is the best! We love the Cat Clinic and highly recommend it. We've taken all of our 5 kitties there over many years and our three that have passed lived 14+, 16+, and 18+ years. Dr. McCauley is very professional, gentle, and he really listens. He always calls back to answer our questions. The office is spotless, you never have a long wait, and there are no barking dogs to deal with. Have to mention that Kathy Sue is our favorite vet tech too, she is so sweet! read more

I highly recommend Dr McCauley and his Cat Clinic. I have been taking my cat there for about 8 years. My mother rescued a cat in 2012 and I have been taking him there too. Friendly atmosphere with a quiet waiting room and no dogs carrying on. The Doctor takes his time and answers all your questions. My cat needed oral surgery to remove 2 teeth with cavities. I had this done a few weeks ago with success. Before I left to pick him up. I received a call from the Doctor telling me exactly what was done, what meds would be given to me and what to expect in the following days. Great care and compassion for my cats. read more

Last week I called for my best friend friend whose cat was having an emergency at 17 years old. They usually don't have appointments open but they made room for Billie. Sadly, her condition was very grave and ultimately my friend opted to have her put to sleep, and they were very compassionate and kind to him. The receptionist even took out a pamphlet on senior cat care and showed him how old Billie was in cat years to help comfort him that she had lived a long life. read more

Dr. McCauley is a fabulous vet. He is happy to answer questions and does not push unnecessary treatments. The waiting area is quiet and about as low stress as it gets for a vet visit. The staff are friendly and the prices are competitive with the other practices in the area. Just a tip - I was not as happy with my experience with Dr. Knighton, so I would recommend Dr. McCauley over Dr. Knighton if a choice is available. read more

I have been taking ALL of my cats here (past and present) since moving to NJ. I have found both Dr. McCauley and Dr. Knighten are extremely knowledgeable and very concerned about the well-being of your cat. They both take their time to listen to you and answer your questions, as well as give advice. They don't rush you in and out. The two doctors may have slightly different personalities, but both are positive and friendly. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as well. The waiting room is spotless. And you do not have to worry about barking dogs, etc. which may make your cat even more anxious about the visit. Also, if you have a question for either doctor and leave a message for them, they will actually call you back personally and take their time explaining your particular cat's situation, even if it is after hours. Even though I am giving the Cat Clinic a 5-star rating, the only complaint would be about a few staff members. I have noticed some have left the practice, so maybe the issue was resolved. One couldn't even get my cat into the carrier and was taking forever (it shouldn't be an issue when you do this everyday). It took another tech 30 seconds! Since only employees are allowed in the back room, I wasn't able to help. Also, I have called to have records sent to both a place where I had to board my cats as well as a new apartment I am temporarily staying at which required vet records for pets. Each time I was told the records were never sent. It could be they got busy and forgot to send them or the records didn't go through the fax. It happens. But this happened to me twice within two weeks while I was moving. I don't think I should have to follow up when I request someone to pass on my vet records, which are a requirement. But other than this minor frustration, I would not take my cats anywhere else! Love this place! read more

I just want to say, these people are awesome! Brought Riley my 10 year old Tortoiseshell cat in because she was having some issues related to the abusive situation she came from in her previous home! Riley got the Red carpet treatment and she was the star of her own show! From the Vet tech, to Veterinarian, to receptionist, excellent customer service all around. I'm so happy to say, I believe I have a different cat, in a good way. She's on a low dose anxiety medicine, and she's happy, and, responding well to her retraining how to use the litterbox! I took my cat Katie (aka Spot) here when I noticed she was losing weight. I felt that we needed an expert opinion and wanted to take her to a vet that specialized in cats. Dr McCauley felt a lump on her thyroid and ran some blood tests. Her white count was elevated but he dismissed it as allergies. My husband asked if it could be cancer and he said "No". Dr McCauley put her on Methimazole (didn't have any samples) and she did not tolerate it and it made her worse. We took her back (and brought the medicine with us - thought he could give as samples). He told us that radioactive iodine would be our best solution and so we decided to go that route and took her to St Francis. During that time, The Cat Clinic called me to come and pick up my medicine. I said "What medicine?" I don't think that they would knowingly try to sell me back my cat's medicine that made her sick, but they are definitely not on the ball. Also, if Dr. McCauley would have done more blood work and checked her for cancer before just saying that she didn't have cancer, we would have had more time with her before she passed and not put her through the hospital stay and quarantine with the radioactive iodine treatment. She was only 9 yrs old. read more

I took my beloved cat Tipper to Dr. McCauley in the late 90's. He seemed polite. He called me mam. I trusted him, despite the passive aggressive woman who was his receptionist. My cat Tipper needed dental surgery. Well all I can tell you is that when I brought tipper home from his office, after he removed three teeth, my cat's personality was never the same. Tipper was seven at the time. She lived to be twelve years old. But like I said her personality was never the same, after being treated by Dr. McCauley. I've reported this to other Veterinarians and they surmised that Dr. McCauley administered too much anesthesia to my cat. I think it's significant that McCauley was the only Doctor in the practice. He doesn't have any one to answer to and being a one man show is never good, because it's too much work for one person to deal with. I wish I had thought of that before I placed my wonderful cat in this man's care! read more

Best vet in SJ for cats, hands down! We will never go back to Collingswood/Woodlynne vets and Church Rd Animal Hospital down the street. Dr. McCauley at the Cat Clinic is amazing with our ill cat, and is trying very hard to save him after our cat was not treated for months at Church Rd (unbeknownst to us the condition was worsening). I would highly recommend this cat clinic. It is not cheap, but it provides the best care! read more

They had me on the wrong day of appt, called my cat by the wrong name, missed the blood sample and the front desk girl shoud find another career-very rude and talked to another worker the whole time. I asked her if she needed me to check in she said no. When it came time to call me back for my appt 45 minutes late, they thought I was someone else. The Dr was really professional though and seemed to take his time. I wont be back there though. read more

Dr. McCauley is amazing. I have been taking my cat to see him for 15 years and never once been disappointed. My only complaint is that I wish he treated dogs too because I have been to probably every vet in a 15 mile radius of my home in Mount Laurel and I cannot find a competent vet to treat my hound mix. read more
