Personally, I thought it was fun and the venue was spacious for the event. I can definitely see why people wouldn't enjoy the event since there's tons of vendors and not much to do at the con, BUT people need to learn how to make the most out of their purchases. The event started at 9am on Saturday and we arrived at about 9:30am. There was a line for the main parking lot, but we drove around the corner to the Sheraton's lot, $13 for all day parking and it was a 2 minute walk away. We checked in to grab our event wristbands and received a cute reusable bag, love the design. I noticed online they were having free meet & greet with "cat celebrities" and free seminars. The website also said "wristband required" for these events. So we proceeded to find the wristband stand and grabbed some wristbands to meet Julie Newmar, the original Catwoman. The majority of the other meet and greet had run out of wristbands by the time we checked in at 10am. So first tip, read the website and know before you go. A LOT of people were upset they weren't able to participate in the meet and greets because they weren't aware free wristbands were available. Anyways, after we picked up our wristbands we proceeded to pick up as many freebies as possible since some freebies tend to run out towards the end of the day. The longest line by far with the Petsmart line. We waited about 15 minutes, but they had a good variety of prizes from $5 gift cards to special (small) gift baskets. Frontline was there giving away (one month) tick and flea removal medicine along with a cute reusable bag. There was TONS AND TONS of free cat treats and free small cat toys. I also went home with about 5 reusable bags. Once we covered the freebies, we proceeded to the Julie Newmar meet and greet. I believe it took about 45 minutes to actually get to her, but she took her time meeting all of her fans. The meet and greet was free, but if you wanted an autograph it was $40. The meet and greets were in the building adjacent to the Con, and wow was it chaotic. There was zero organization. At some point they just had one line formed for all meet and greets. Luckily we left the building just in time before all hell broke loose. The last thing we did was just stroll by the vendors and pick up another round of freebies. They had an adoption area and play area for you to play with the local shelter cats. The Pasadena Convention Center was a great venue. The building was well ventilated and was extremely spacious. There was a lot of vendors, but you don't necessarily have to spend money to get the full value out of your ticket. All you have to do to get the full value is; get the freebies, sign up for meet and greets, go to the seminars, and go into the cat play area. I kid you not, the freebies alone make up for the $35 you spend on this event. I wish they offered free parking, BUT it's extremely rare to find free parking for any Con nowadays. Few minor things they could improve on, but nonetheless less such a catastic experience! BTW, DogCon will have its debut in October of 2018!

They also sent me pics (small fee) and were responsive to emails during the day as I checked in on the cats. I have one cat who is so skiddish and even he allowed them to pet him during his stay. They have a complete separate room/area for cats. There are one or two spots in front. Thankfully the times I went I was able to quickly park there; because that particular area is nearly impossible with parking.

I love seeing the IG stories knowing she was having a blast. However, the best thing of it all is since she began boarding at Paw La La I've noticed a huge improvement in her social skills when we are out in public. She's always been a good girl but now I see her more aware and less hyperactive when she's other dogs. Socializing and playing with other dogs has definitely helped her. Communication with the staff is has also been easy since I do check-ins through texts and or call .

I live in a tough neighborhood and she was the only walker I could find to service my dog. She came and visited, everything was great. She turned over the walks to Becky and although she stayed in my house with me during our initial visit for like 30 minutes with no signs of symptoms, she randomly became allergic to animals. At least, that was her story in our daily journal... Keri told me she just didn't want to take the job. Either way, it left me in a bum rush pickle to find a dog walker last minute after it had taken me 3 weeks to just to find K9 Cuddles... Thanks for the 2 weeks, but it would have been better to say no in the beginning if the walker wasn't a guarantee.

Finn is extremely shy and particular, and giving him fluids at home just isn't an option. We also made the intentional choice not to associate his one safe space, home, with anything painful. At the clinic, it sometimes takes three nurses to support him, one to gently hold him, one to feed him churro (his favorite distraction), and one to administer fluids. And they do it all with so much patience, compassion, and genuine care. Because of this team, Finn is not only stable, he's doing so well. Truly, I believe they've saved his life. If you're looking for a veterinary team that goes above and beyond, this is it. If you decide to join, feel free to use my referral code: REFER100-178N1. One of our dogs requires daily Prozac, which we always provide along with a fresh bag of pill pockets so he'll reliably take his meds. When we returned home and resumed our routine, we opened the bag only to have hundreds of cockroaches swarm out. The infestation spread into our kitchen, and we now have to pay for ongoing extermination. We have never had any issues with pests such as roaches in our home before, and the extermination process has been costly and disruptive. This was clearly a health and cleanliness issue inside the facility. What's worse, it became clear our dog was potentially not receiving his prescribed medication. If staff had been giving it daily, they would have opened the bag and noticed the infestation immediately. This raises serious concerns about the level of care provided to all pets, not just ours. To make matters even more frustrating, when we brought this to higher management, instead of taking accountability, they turned it back on us -- saying that because we called the exterminator, it was "our problem." That response was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely ignored the real issue. Cockroach infestations pose health risks, and the disregard for administering medication shows a lack of basic responsibility. After 5+ years of trust, we are extremely disappointed. Pet owners deserve better -- we strongly urge others to reconsider before boarding their dogs here.
