I love their use of an activator instead of twisting you into a pretzel! I've had a couple of really bad bouts of my back going out & I always feel a lot better after even one session. Both doctors are great & very knowledgeable about their field. The office staff is friendly. Parking can be difficult during lunch hours, so keep that in mind if you have a mid-day appointment. read more

Coming here has completely changed my life! I love that the doctors work together for treatment and you can tell that they really care about your wellbeing. I have bad scoliosis and low energy. From their chiropractic care and acupuncture using a method called NAET, I have never felt better! I was able to stop taking ADD medication, and I have more consistent energy than I've had since middle school. If you have any kind of allergy or pain, I highly suggest coming in. They use more precise methods (using a handheld device that takes all of the guesswork out of cracking) and using the nervous system as a key component. They also use NAET with an acupuncture laser (another handheld device that you don't even feel) to eliminate allergies-some I didn't even know I had. I've gone to chiropractors in the past, as well as physical therapy and 5 years of allergy shots. I have been coming here for over 20 yrs. Dr Cohen does unbelievable work. I, like most people was skeptical of seeing a chiropractor for my back issues. From my early ages at working in the freight industry i had severe lower back problems, that caused that shooting pain down my leg. After my fist few visits i found the treatments to be helping. I can't say enough about the Drs. and staff. They explained everything thoroughly. All inviting and a great bedside manor. I was having issues with my insurance and had to stop seeing them until it was all situated. They kept me in the loop with everything that was going on. Well today I called to see if everything had been fixed since I had been in a lot of pain. We all know how insurance can be such a pain. Not only are they going to see me again but I am getting a refund because of an error the insurance did. They wanted to make sure I had the care I needed and scheduled me the next day to come in. Went to see Dr. Cohen and Dr. Rob after years of back pain. They were fantastic. After a quick intake and some X-rays-Dr Rob helped explain to me what some of my issues were and proceeded to begin work on my back. By the time I left, my body felt grounded - hard to explain but everything felt like it was more aligned without any of the extreme cracking that I've experienced in the past. They are all about working on what is putting pressure on the nerves. While I'm not pain free (yet) I'm finally hopeful that I could be in the near future. read more

I stumbled upon Catalina Medical Center and Dr. Rob Joseffson the day before my sister's wedding. I was 6 months pregnant and had such severe back and hip pain that I wasn't sure I'd actually be able to stand up the following day as maid of honor. A quick Google search and phone call later, I was in the office. I was terrified, as I had never been to a chiropractor. As an emergency physician, I was incredibly wary of seeing a chiropractor. I told Dr. Joseffson up front that I had my doubts about seeing a chiropractor and I even brought my husband with me and made him stay in the room the whole time. Well, Dr . Joseffson was amazing and incredibly personable. He was completely understanding about my fears, and he explained everything to me in detail before he did it. He uses a combination of traditional adjustments and an activator. I had relief from that first visit, and he actually took care of me regularly through the end of my pregnancy. He also included massage and ultrasonography in my care, and I learned stretches and exercises to help me get through those last few months of being pregnant. Now, I have been going to his office every two weeks since. I have been a patient for almost two years, and I cannot recommend him enough. He is knowledgeable, caring, and most importantly, great at what he does. I always walk out feeling looser and my back feels better. And the office staff are so very sweet, professional and just a joy to work with. Simply put - if you have back pain issues, you MUST go here. Both Dr. Cohen and Dr. Jossefson (sp?) are excellent. On Sunday of this week, I could barely walk, sit or do anything other than lay flat on my back in agony. I visited Catalina Medical on Tues evening (same-day appt!) and was seen by Dr. Jossefson, who took an x-ray of my back and patiently explained my condition. He proceeded with the adjustment while explaining exactly what he was doing, and why (which was amazing - unlike the other chiropractic treatments I've experienced) and arranged another appointment for the following day, Weds. I saw Dr. Cohen for that appt - also very professional and really "delved" into my condition with me by detailing what had happened to my spine. 3 days later, I am 90% better than I was when I walked into their office. So, for me, the results are wonderful. I highly recommend this treatment. It's effective and much healthier than popping pain pills/anti-inflammatories/etc. Due to my condition, my visits will be frequent but I completely trust that they will be able to help. The office isn't fancy, but it's clean and the reception/therapists are friendly (and the Dr.s are great)! read more

I am a believer now!!! I had never seen a Chiropractor before and always heard mixed reviews. ALL of my Doctors in the past 22 years have always sent me to see Physical Therapists for my back/neck issues (car accident 22 years ago and multiple slipped discs). After the standard prescribed 10-20 visits in physical therapy, my pain would lessen but always return. Finally, after getting severe pain in the back of my head, very little range of motion in the neck, etc. , I was referred to Dr. Cohen. I was super skepticle but decided it could not hurt. Dr. Cohen listened to me and knew exactly what to do. Within 5 treatments, the headaches were gone. WOW!!!! He is not like the typical chiropractor where they crack your back .... his procedures are different BUT very effective and much safer.
