We arrived just in time for Christmas Eve. The location is beautiful, but more than 1 hour from the airport. In general, the stay at the resort made a good impression. We were greeted very nicely and settled extremely quickly. We were pleasantly surprised by the large and spacious room( was always clean and fridge was always full). Beautiful resort, the interesting and unique design of walking paths, romantic bridges, generously illuminated with Christmas lights, everything inspires romance. All employees of the resort are extremely friendly and kind, always smiling and helping when needed, with the exception of Eugenia- one person whose direct duty is to help guests. Unfortunately, our stay was spoiled by the fact that our suitcases were lost during the Christmas trip, which we immediately informed the resort about. Therefore, when one of the long-awaited suitcases finally arrived on the third day of our stay, we were both pleased and saddened at the same time. The suitcase arrived with a document that did not say a word that the luggage arrived late, and there was no date of arrival. Since we had to spend our own money to buy everything we needed at the resort, these documents were super important for us in terms of getting compensation for delayed/lost luggage. All we asked at the reception was to witness and confirm that the luggage arrived late (we showed them right away) and with a letter and seal from the hotel for the insurance company. As it turned out, it was not so simple: sometimes there was no seal available, then there was no manager, then there were no guest service representatives on-site. A lot of time was spent looking for help. Instead of enjoying a few sunny days, we stressed ourselves out by crying for help. Therefore, when on the third day of searching for the right person we found one of the main representatives of guest service, we were happy, because we expected that this is the person who will help us! Eugenia made the impression of an extremely unpleasant, high-and-mighty and arrogant person. It seemed that she was annoyed and forced to help us, spending her precious time on an ordinary couple like us. Without even looking at our luggage documents, she haughtily declared that we had to prove that we had luggage with us at all, accusing us of lying. I'm sorry, but this attitude is absolutely unacceptable for a guest service representative, who is supposed to be attentive , helpful, sensitive and understanding. At this point no wonder, we lost our patience(who wouldn't?!!) and Evgenia was unable to do anything but call the general manager (we did ask for this from the very beginning!). As a result, he patiently listened to us and helped us. So in the future, if you have any problems, don't even waste your time on Eugenia (or get ready to be humiliated, unless you are a privileged guest, then yes, you might be treated differently) and contact Daniel - thankfully, there is another guest service representative, an extremely kind, polite, always smiling, and easygoing person.
Regarding other criteria.
All the restaurants are good, "Terrace" was my favorite! If you didn't book a reservation for a dinner, good luck with that! The only restaurant that allowed us to step in without the reservation was "Grill", the closest to the lobby area, we explained that we are new and didn't figure out that for a dinner you must book a reservation, as there's no buffet for dinner time. Highly recommend "Rauxa",it has very good food and an awesome night show. Good we booked it on a very last day of our stay, something wonderful to remember!
The food is tasty, but a bit monotonous at buffet(not enough seafood though), with a lot of delicious fruits, and right on the beach you will be offered delicious healthy smoothies. The beach is AMAZING, with clean and white sand, water is amazing with no seaweed, just perfect. My husband enjoyed playing beachball everyday.The only thing I didn't like is that despite the rule not to occupy the lounges, people come, put towels on and go away, same by the pool. We observed this ritual every morning. What are the rules for if they are not followed?
