Terrible terrible service. The owner is rude and irresponsible. I scheduled a pickup from Rutland train station for a train that arrives at 11:30 pm from NY. I paid a ridiculous amount of money in advance ( as I found out later) and then when I tried to call and verify they ware going to be there, they didn't pick up for an hour! so imagine this, I'm on a train to a place I don't know, a small town with no other transportation service, a young lady by herself and the ride I scheduled doesn't pick up the phone to verify thet are going to be there. I ended up finding someone else but they caused me a lot of unnecessary stress! Defiantly not recommended!! read more

I called for a taxi at 9:27 am the cab was supposed to arrive at 10 now the taxi isn't answering the phone worst taxi service ever at least have the fucking consideration to pick up the phone or atleast give us a notice you will be over a hour late... read more

We use Catamount taxi every year when hiking in the area. The driver is always very timely and friendly. She drives well, and I always feel safe. We have scheduled rides ahead of time and called last minute, and they are always able to accommodate us. read more

I would not recommend relying on this company. My boyfriend and I were hiking a weeklong section of the Long Trail. We scheduled a ride with Catamount the Saturday we left for our hike to come pick us up at our ending spot and drive us back to our car the following Friday. Friday came and we called to confirm our ride an hour before we were supposed to be picked up. The woman we spoke with had no record of our scheduled ride. We had poor cell service in the woods, but once we regained service, we were still unable to get through to the person we initially scheduled the ride with. We waited until long after 1:00pm, when the cab was supposed to meet us, and no one came. This company was disorganized, which left us stranded in a parking lot in the rain. read more

Received quote via email for 2 passengers from Burlington airport to Morrisville for my teenage…read moredaughter and classmate heading back to college. Quote was $110. After driving away from airport the driver tells my daughter the price is now $125, she doesn't argue as they are in the middle of nowhere and they are scared to be kicked out in the middle of nowhere. Upon arrival at the destination the driver says to give him the $125 or he will keep their luggage. I emailed Zaki, who gave me the quote, he tells me just give the driver $120 and they will give back luggage. After a lot of arguing and letting him know I will be reporting him to the Taxi Admin of Vermont, he instructs driver to release the luggage. I have 2 very terrified girls who are now thankfully safe. This company is using bait and switch tactics. I always try and support minority owned businesses, but will NEVER use this service again. I am waiting on a call back from the taxi admin and will be taking this issue as far as possible. The money isn't the point, it's the fear and intimidation they use to get more money.

The Vermont Inn is such a cute place to stay in the Killington area. The location is beautiful with…read morea great view of the mountains. And at night there is so little light pollution you can see all the stars. Very pretty! The room we stayed in (Forest Glen) is cozy and pretty basic, but it did its job well. The bed was comfortable, and the fan and air conditioning were easy to control so we could sleep comfortably. The shower works very well with good pressure and heat. There is a small TV if you feel like watching anything, but definitely enjoy the area instead! The Vermont Inn has a bar inside that closes at 9pm. We didn't try it, but it looked so nice and cozy. If you purchase directly through the website, then breakfast is included each morning. Every day they offer pancakes, french toast, or eggs and bacon, and then there is a daily special omelette. We tried omelettes, french toast, and pancakes, and all were quite good. And the coffee is surprisingly tasty. It appears to be a family operation with the kids taking orders. They are cute and do a great job! Definitely a great place to stay if you're in the Killington area!

The location is perfect as it is minutes away from Killington and Pico mountains. The views from the lawn of the mountains are stunning. Rooms were excellent and there was plenty of space. There is a Sauna and pool outside during the summer months. We met a couple that were staying there and planning their wedding with the hosts and it sounded like it was going to be fantastic. They also host bridal showers and other events. The breakfasts were fantastic and our waiters Emerson and Jameson provided excellent service. Thanks to Mike, Kayla and family for great memories. I would highly recommend The Vermont Inn and we will definitely be back.

Airbnbs or bed and breakfasts are usually more our cup of tea, but the four humans of our family…read morerecently squeezed into a double queen bedroom at Hampton Inn Rutland for the camaraderie of staying with other ski team families. It was a blast and the hotel was quite pleasant for the genre (mid-range, family friendly). Pros: - There's a nice common room downstairs with a fireplace, where we were able to gather with a big group of friends and share dinner. It's also where breakfast is served in the a.m. - Breakfast service begins at 6 a.m. -- great for those who need an early start. - My kiddos love "Hotel Breakfast" as they call it, and this was no exception. There are two DIY waffle irons with lots of wonderfully unhealthy toppings; hot mini omelettes, sausage, and potatoes; muffins, bagels, toast; cold cereal and oatmeal; fruit salad and whole fruit. - We either had very quiet neighbors or the walls are reasonably well soundproofed. - There's a small, heated pool. It's hyperchlorinated as most hotel pools are, but a nice place to congregate and relax with friends after skiing. - There's a small, but adequate gym -- and a conference room should you need it. - The hotel adjoins a shopping complex that includes a Hannaford's supermarket, an Office Depot and a Michael's. Convenient for friends who had to find poster board for a school project due the following Monday. And we picked up fruit trays and dessert for our team dinner. - The hotel is dog friendly! We traveled without our pup this time, but did get to hang with some great guest canines. This is a massive plus in our book. - Beds were quite comfortable and staff were nice! Two people even dressed up as Santa and Mrs. Claus to say hello to the kids at dinner. :) Cons: - The elevator was out of order during our stay, so those of us staying on the third floor with lots of ski gear to carry up and down got a GREAT workout. - The pool is quite small, more of a cooler-than-usual hot tub than anything else -- so don't expect to swim laps. - There's no fan or ventilation in the bathroom. After four showers, it gets pretty steamy. Neutral: - It's about 30 minutes from Killington Mountain. There are more proximate, dog friendly hotels (e.g. Killington Mountain Lodge) and Airbnbs, but Hampton Inn Rutland may be better priced. - Our room temperature defaulted to 68 or 69 F. I love that it's eco-friendly and it was a good temperature for putting on ski gear -- but we usually keep our home a bit warmer than this. You can change the temperature of course, but ours kept defaulting to the cooler setting at night. - We're not big TV watchers, but for those who are, I think you need to sign in to Netflix, Disney+, etc... with your own account logins. The hotel does not have its own subscriptions. Overall, this was a great, budget-friendly place to stay with a group!

The TV is so small (estimate 36 inch ) and in the corner so far away. No fridge and when I called for ice the told me it was on a different floor but we had no ice bucket, it took them over a hour and a half to deliver one. The bathroom had terrible lighting and my wife couldn't put her makeup on. The entire suite is very old and needs a major upgrade before i stayed here again.

We selected the Strawberry-Rhubarb pie and apple, blueberry, raspberry and lemon turnovers. Pie crust was light and flaky and packed full of fruit. Pie stayed together nicely when sliced and served. Fruit was natural and not overly sweetened. Pie would have been perfect with just a touch of lime zest/juice and maybe a spoonful more of sugar. The turnovers were tasty. The apple ones were pouches with a half apple in each. We've never seen one prepared like that. Prices were very reasonable in this small farmstand store. The woman behind the counter was kind and happy to help us. I was so excited when she handed the pie over and it was still warm!

This Taxi is defiantly the best in the Rutland area. The drivers are respectful and always on time. I use them whenever I am in the area. I have had negative experiences with the other taxis in the Rutland area, but Catamount has always been reliable. Reasonably priced and car is very clean. Not much else you can ask for!
