You want good dim sum that's authentic and is better than nyc Chinatown quality? Here it is. Who would of known that it would be in Kentucky. The menu is smart, delicious, and yet appealing to many different taste. It felt like Gordon Ramsay came here from kitchen nightmares and just started working with the owners and chef to make this masterpiece of a restaurant. Great location for outside dining. Food was good, for what they had. They completely 86'd their stir fry menu for some soon to be added American items: chicken strips, fries, etc. They were also out of chicken for the chicken dumplings. Most annoying was the mandatory 15% gratuity and then they ask for and suggest tips at the bottom of the bill AFTER they already added 15%. So, it you are a 20% tipper, you just tipped over 35%!! As a business owner myself, I really hate to do this, but I have to be honest. This was one of the worst places I've eaten in the last decade. Based on the building, I thought I was going in for seafood or maybe even burgers and American food and a great view of the water And Cincinnati. While I had a great view, the concept was immediately confusing as it's actually an Asian cuisine and the curry dumplings, and Raman, was mediocre at best. I had to ask for salt, which I never do and the green tea was terrible even to the point where waitress -in an unsolicited manner asked me how I like the tea and when I said it was terrible she said 'yeah everybody says that so I'm not charging you for it and can I bring you water or Coke?' The check, looked a little odd, and when I looked carefully a 15% gratuity was automatically added, which is inappropriate unless you're in Europe and working in a value added tax environment, which I don't think the USA operates under at this time? It was just me and not like this was a party of six or eight. Finally, the fortune cookie was stale and I suspect that since I'm told the restaurant is doing a complete makeover shortly and depleting their inventory that this was the attempt to get rid of the fortune cookies that remained. I really wish the owner and the establishment the best but for anyone looking to visit, I would absolutely positively wait until they switch to their American food concept in the coming months. read more

We tried Enson Harbor from reading good reviews. We ordered a variety and it was fairly affordable for the amount of food we ordered. Staff was great and the inside is nice. The pan fried pork dumplings were definitely my favorite and the crab Rangoon was the best that I have ever had. I thought the server was exaggerating when she said it was the best but she was right - the rice paper made it extra crispy and the perfect ratio. To the point that we ate two before I could get a picture. We did the wonton soup, char sui bao, and the sampler of soup dumplings. Loved the soup dumplings and being able to swap different ones in - our least favorite was probably the pork and crab if we had to pick. Will be back again and I hope it does well! read more

Before writing this review, I came here twice. Partially to re-confirm my experience with the food - and partially because this restaurant is a paradoxical, beautiful, confusing, and delectable oddity, with an obscenely low aggregate review score that I just can't get behind. Let's get the food out of the way first. My family is from Shanghai. Since I was a wee tot, I've been visiting Shanghai every couple of years. Chinese soup dumplings (xiao long bao) were first invented, yep, in the Nanxiang district of Shanghai. So please know that I say with all sincerity - you could serve the crab + pork soup dumplings at Enson Harbor to customers in Shanghai, and you would get an above average rating. For literally any Chinatown in the US, that would be a moonshot, an absolutely phenomenal performance. For Bellevue Kentucky - what the hell? Incidentally - "what the hell" comes to mind when describing my next point: the atmosphere of Enson Harbor. I swear, if you described to me a restaurant that combined a stereotypical Charleston beach house aesthetic with a bilingual menu that exclusively featured traditional dimsum dishes, I would recommend the nearest psych hospital and a double dose of Zoloft. But here, miraculously, it works. Life preserver rings and buoys sit on the wall, whilst Chinese lanterns hang from the ceiling. You watch stunning views of the lazy Ohio river from the patio, and your server brings you hot bamboo steamers full of dimsum, which aren't even supposed to be served at dinner-time, and it's.. magnificent. There are dishes served here that are unyieldingly authentic - in addition to the soup dumplings (skip the truffle, stick with pork or pork + crab), I highly recommend the shrimp glass dumplings, the shrimp + pork shumai, the scallion pancakes, the pan fried pork buns (aka sheng jian bao), and the mango sago. The American comfort zone of crab rangoons and General Tso chicken are also available, but please, live a little. The owners at Enson Harbor have clearly taken an enormous risk in bringing dim sum to Northern Kentucky. Take advantage. read more

Went there for dinner last night on a Monday evening. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Food was very good. Ordered the friend pork dumplings, szecheuwan fried wontons, sweet and sour soup, wonton soup, crab rangoon and beef suimai. There was plenty of food for two and even had leftovers for a reasonable price. Everything was delicious with exception if the beef suimai, the flavor was decent but I did not like the consistency, may just be my preference. We happened upon Enson Harbor house while in the area and now drive 30 minutes to have their amazing food! Some of our favorites are the Mongolian Beef, the crab Rangoon (the best I've ever had), shrimp cigar and pork and shrimp sumai. All Delicious! They also have various good teas. This place has absolutely no idea what they're doing. Stay away at all costs. Been sitting here for 50 minutes. They just brought out the fried soft shell crab appetizer and forgot the sauce. Can't get anyone to bring it out, so my husband ate chilled sauceless fried crab. Drinks (wine and beer) took 30 minutes to get. No drink menus, the staff has to manually look up the prices on their screen and then show it to you at the table. Got our two sandwiches and shrimp tacos after 2 hours. Tails were left on the shrimp in the tacos, so we had to dig them all out and remove the tails. Also found a bone in my grouper. Lovely. read more

My husband and I met some friends for dinner at Enson Harbor this weekend and got to try a wide variety of the menu offerings -- we loved them all! Favorites included the cold sesame noodles, beef siumai and the pan fried pork buns. The dishes were delicious and priced well, they also had a pretty extensive beverage selection -- house made cocktails, lots of beer draft/bottles, sake and bourbons. And plenty of non-alcoholic bevs like bubble tea! The interior was cute and our waitress said they are waiting on some new outdoor furniture for the big patio. Looking forward to coming back again! I have eaten here 3 times. The food is okay. The service is ok. Never many diners in the big restaurant; it has a cold feel to it. I love dumplings, and they have some good ones. I like the small entrees. What I find very odd is that there are no sauces for the dumplings. They do not leave any condiments on the table; not even soy sauce. When you ask for soy sauce, they bring it out in to go plastic containers. Very strange, and extremely wasteful. We had at least 8 plastic containers on our table with soy. Not only did I get an excellent meal, with outstanding portion sizes. But the service from waitresses Amie and Heather was absolutely the best part of our dinner! They were helpful when it came to making our decision and also knowledgeable of the menu! The Lobster Pasta was absolutely the bees knees. The half lobster was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The hush puppies were crunchy on the outside with a luscious warm center, and the sauce is the boss. I chose seasonal veggies as a side but received broccoli, which couldn't have worked out better. I know they have only been open for a month so I hate to write this. However the service we had Saturday night was insanely slow. We were starving and ended up making jokes about slow our server was. To add insult to injury, when the bills finally came they were swapped and incorrect. We didn't want to mess with it so we just paid them as presented. I could understand if they just were short staffed but I think it was just our particular server. Everyone else seemed to have better service. I had the fried cod and it was unremarkable. Hopefully they can work out the kinks but for now I wouldn't recommend this and don't plan to go back. I want to add this note, as the business manager wrote a reply below. We were there at 5:00 on a Saturday and it was far from busy when we arrived yet our service was still sub par. Again, I do hope you can overcome this. We went there for the fireworks on the Labor day. It is much cheaper than other restaurants nearby. Their dimsum is good but a little pricey if compare to normal dimsum place. The soup dumplings are great. Every dish is delicious, no complaint of the taste at all. The egg-yolk bun is very good. The boba menu is at standard. In short, I'd skip this restaurant. We ordered five dishes this evening. The crab Rangoon was crispy and had a creamy crab filling, which was good. We then tried the chicken soup dumplings, which were our favorite because of the flavorful soup and chicken inside. The chicken dumplings were just okay, and not nearly as good as the soup dumplings. We then ordered the general tso chicken with rice - the rice was cold and dry, but the broccoli was cooked perfectly and the sauce was sweet and a bit spicy. The sweet and sour chicken with rice was our final dish - the chicken and vegetables were cooked well and had a good sauce, but the rice was again cold and dry. The servers were terrific and very knowledgeable- they made the dinner very pleasant. The ambiance was odd - thinks Joe's Crab Shack meets panda bears and Chinese lanterns and you've got it. But it's clean and has a relaxing open concept with some tvs and a bar. We won't be back because the quality of the food does not match up with the higher prices. Plus the portion of some of the dishes is so small (e.g. general tso chicken portion was laughably small). Our check for the five dishes was $52 after tip. read more

Had a not so stellar experience today at Enson Harbor. Let me set this up by saying I order old fashioned cocktails a lot when out for dinner. I also make them at home. It's a very easy drink to make. 2 oz of bourbon, 1/2 ounce simple syrup, couple dashes of bitters. Mix with ice and strain in an old fashioned glass over fresh ice. Express a slice of orange peel over the cocktail, rubbing the peel around the edge of glass and then place the peel into the drink. Simple right? Not at Enson Harbor. What you get is a concoction of muddled fruit and booze in a cocktail glass. Not an old fashioned. They tried to remake the drink, which once again was an epic fail. I sent it back again. I wound up ordering a beer with my food. When presented with our check, the drink was still on the bill. I asked our server (Cammy was very delightful) to please take it off. She said she tried but was forbidden to remove it. I asked to speak to the Manager. A young woman came out, identifying herself as the GM. She proceeded to tell me her hands were tied due to investor rules. What?? Then the bartender comes out telling me she has made old fashioneds up and down "the levee" (whatever credibility that brings) and stating she knows how to make them. We bantered back and forth, and the bartender looked at the GM and told her, and I quote, "we don't need their business anymore!" Ok, that is not a problem. We won't be going back! Although I think the food is good, if you are touting a full bar, you better have someone that can make cocktails. An old fashioned is the most basic of cocktails and there are only two places in my life where I havr ordered one that had a disgusting pile of fruit in the bottom... The old Enson Harbor and the new Enson Harbor. By the way, the drink was finally taken off of our bill. read more

Our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. Started out with drinks. My Moscow Mule was as advertised. My partner's Old Fashion was served with an abundance of cherry juice but he wasn't going to send it back. To the General Manager's credit, she came to our table to see if the miss-colored cocktail was to his liking and since it wasn't, she had it replaced with a palatable version. I ordered the Shrimp fried Rice on Sunday 9/7/2025 for dinner. It was a large portion but didn't appear so appetizing. I asked for siracha and got a teaspoon amount on a small metal dish. I ate less than a 1/3 and took the rest home in a to-go container. The location is great, service was good because the place was EMPTY at 6:45pm! I should have suspected something was amiss. However after going home and settling in to watch a movie I became VERY ill! Stomach rumbling, acute nausea and projectile vomiting of the SHRIMP FRIED RICE I HAD EATEN EARLIER! DO NOT GO HERE!! . The restaurant is changing the menu to give a wider variety of foods so they can make you ill with a variety! Avoid at all costs! I'd been previously when this was a seafood restaurant, so I was surprised to see it as Dim Sum when we walked in. The food was reasonably priced, came out quickly and a limited menu with enough selection but the reassurance that it's being made fresh. Super excited when I saw they have boba, I think that's the best part! I'm not sure of any other boba restaurant or spot on this side of the Ohio river without going all the way to Florence! We wanted to start the new year off with a bang so we decided on seafood for lunch on New Year's Day. Neither my husband or I had been here before so we decided to try it out. We arrived at 1pm and there was not another car in the parking lot so we were worried they might be closed. However, we went inside and they were open! There was a bartender and one server inside who quickly sat us. We ordered the raw oysters and onion rings for appetizers and both were great. For entrees, I ordered the half pound peeled shrimp boil and my husband got the Low Country combo boil. Personally, I found my shrimp to be quite rubbery and overcooked. My husband thought his combo was delicious and everything tasted great. Overall, our bill was $90+ dollars which seemed on the expensive side given the portion sizes but overall we enjoyed our lunch.
