Wow. Wish I read the reviews before hiring this company... Prompt service that came out to my house the next day, Friday, after my call following finding a rat in the basement. Owner of the company came but didn't have his correct truck with all his rat catching "tools" so had to come and meet him again the following Monday. Explained how everything worked and really was a talker about it all. Had to meet again on Tuesday because once again didn't have all the "tools" he needed and wanted to set up cameras as there was no dead rat from the poison Explained that a multipoint inspection would be done around the property (but to my knowledge was never done). Another employee came out the next week to pick up the poison. While he was there he asked me if I wanted a pipe sealed up and I asked if I would be charged extra which he said no. Previously Steve said he would not seal that up for me so I wanted to confirm it would not be extra. Later I was billed $400 for it all. After calling the company multiple times, I finally got a call back from Steve saying he runs a business and has been doing so for 34 years and doesn't have logs (or does and he just won't use his time to look at them after I asked) and would not provide me information on when the inspection was done etc. We have clearly disagreed on the billing of services and he told me over the phone he would dispute my review if I left one. Started out with a positive experience with Catch It Wildlife but ultimately would only recommend them in a bind and if you know your billing facts beforehand. read more

Wouldn't hire this company again. There was no proof of catching any moles and I was charged three months after the traps were removed. Traps used were awful quality and wouldn't be re-set after being triggered, which happened constantly. All while nothing was caught. I bought my own traps and was much more successful. When I hired this company I stated that our bat infestation needed to be cleaned up. I paid $1500 for about 7 one way attic exits for our bat infestation. They also blocked off those entry ways against future bat incursions. The person who completed this work was polite and helpful. The reason for this poor review is that the cleanup was later revealed to cost an extra $3900. I suspect that remediation is not this company's area of expertise. IMHO $1500 is much too costly for the work performed. read more

Catch-It serviced our home and installed a one-way bat trap. I had no problem paying for this to be done when it was communicated that it would include the removal of the trap in a couple weeks. Unfortunately, we had to hound them months later to come back only to be charged $100 (they ran our card without authorization by the way) that was never agreed to and was communicated as part of the initial $1100 we paid already. read more

Bats ugg ! We've been plagued with bat colonies for a year or so, there's a number of regulations involved in the removal of them and it's nothing the typical exterminator can deal with. Wade at Catch-it Wildlife inspected my eves and found the entry point for the colony, he was able to provide a humane method of removing the colony. This a horrible company. I called, and Steve told me it was 300.00 to show up at my door, 85 for each animal, and 85 for each repair. So I called another company to get an estimate, and wouldn't you know, Steve answered the phone. He got very belligerent and loud and said we had an appointment; why are you calling someone else. I said I'm trying to get estimates. He said that's not how this works; don't you know anything. I said yes, I do; if I get work on my car, I get estimates; if I need work on my fence, I get estimates. He said we had an appointment, and if you don't want to pay, I'll cancel the appointment. I was hired and fired in one day lol! Got to the job right on time. There was one other employee there with me that had only been working there for maybe a month herself. She was to do my training. I honestly didn't know exactly what I was supposed to be doing on the computer, so I was watching what the other girl was doing. I also was answering the phones, even set up a whole appointment with no help on the phone call. I only asked for help with filling out the work order in certain areas. Anywho, not everyone there is very personable and if they don't agree with your response they will fire you after your first day. Maybe there should be a training manual that gives you a check list of your expectations of someone's first day at your company. I had zero training, just a mess of scripts that you're expected to have memorized in a few hours and some videos to watch to know the computer stuff. Good luck! The guys from Catch-It Pest Control did a very professional job. I had a raccoon in my attic and they set up a trap that worked the first time. I was very impressed with how efficient they were. They took time to also fix a crawl space door when I asked them to though it wasn't the main problem. I will call them again if I have anymore problems with wildlife or pests. read more

2015 work: poor customer service! We had to call the police station to get an officer over to the house because Steve was overreacting! Over priced. The insulation they use, you can buy at Lowe's for $8/box. We needed 20 boxes for our attic. Catch It quoted me $3000 for the work! When I asked him if he can lower the price, he hung up on me saying that he doesn't work for free! Please read it although I apologize if it's lengthy, but whatever you do stay away from this company! Anyway, we got the $189 refunded from disputing the charge with our Bank of America Visa credit card company. One night at 2am we woke up to loud scratching sounds on our roof. It was a pesky raccoon. Called these guys the next morning. They came out that afternoon and set a trap. Caught the critter that night. Then they set a second trap and we caught another. Then they repaired all the damage/holes the coons made in our siding. Once trapped, they took the coons out to some wildlife area out past Lawrence. So they can't come back. Overall it was pricy: $130 for initial visit, $70/trapped critter, then $70/repair spot. So we were out around $480. But holes are patched and at least they didn't get inside and have little coon babies. I've heard that's a mess on a whole new level. The men were friendly, easy to work with and professional. I recommend them and would use them again, but hopefully won't have to. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I called this business after getting a referral from Raytown Animal Control about a mallard whose ducklings were in a storm drain on 50 Hwy. The person who answered the phone was very rude and before I could explain that I was in a parking lot on 50 hwy and that this was not my property, he bellowed "I CHARGE FOUR THOUSAND FOR MALLARDS" I literally waited for a "Just kidding...how can I help?" But instead got another rude bellow " ARE YOU GOING TO GIVE ME YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION OR NOT" I obviously declined and said I would find someone willing to help and called Lakeside Nature center. In the meantime, Mom Mallard somehow got her little ducklings safely out of the drain and I learned that there are some really rude business owners in my former hometown. Super fast response and great service when we had a ground hog invasion. Pricing is a little high. I understand the initial service call charge to set the trap but I thought charging per critter instead of per visit was a bit much. I'd still use them again, though. Truly just the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I had them come out to inspect my garage for mice and they left a few traps. The technician did not even check my house because he thought this would solve the problem. Well, now I have mice in my house and I called back a month later to see if they would work with me as they did not solve this problem. Owner was very rude and unhelpful. Unbelievable horrible service. Use them three times twice for raccoons once for mouse don't get entangled with the owner Steve probably the worst customer service I have ever had and also the worst experience with any pest-control. Called for a mouse trap and was charged $370 to set traps to catch a mouse. Paid half of our bill and was told they would retrieve the mouse traps and discard the old mouse was smelling our house up. Well one of their technicians was on vacation and lo and behold never showed back up after numerous calls. After two weeks received a threatening letter from a collection agency. When I tried to call the owner Steve to discuss the collection agency letter event threatened me for payment. I will call the Better Business Bureau and anyone I can contact to have people be aware of this company. Stay as far away from catch it Wildlife as you can. read more

I had a groundhog which was a repeat problem from years before. The cages caught racoons and possum multiple times and staff Ben patiently emptied them. He then discovered a "hub" of the critters under my neighbors delapidted garage. Placing a cage, one was caught in no time. Wildly overpriced. Almost $700 to tape a plastic tube in the hole bats were using for entry and exit, then coming back several months later to remove the one-way rig and half ass cover the hole. Less than 30 minutes per visit. I should have got the cost up front. Mistakenly thought they would be close in price range to other I spoke to. Now I know why they were available and they were able to come right out. read more

First of all, I am annoyed that two of the bad reviews are in the "not recommended" review section of this, because, had I read these reviews, i would have never contacted this terrible company. I had a noise inside my wall. Something loud, screeching and scratching, which I assumed was a raccoon or two. The owner told me that it was without a doubt just mice. He sent a young girl with no experience with their company to set traps for the mice and block up the holes and charged me $389. I showed her where the sounds were coming from and that I thought it was raccoons and she said she didn't see anything. After a month, only ONE mouse was caught. When I called them back, they sent another service technician who looked directly where I had said the problem was the FIRST time and he said that I had raccoons. And he set one trap on the ground with an apple pie as bait and left. I called and complained so they sent out a second trap on the ground. Nothing was ever caught and then I got another bill for $179. That means that I was asked to pay total near $600 for the trapping of ONE mouse and this morning I still hear raccoons tearing up my roof. I am furious with this company, their crummy customer service and their arrogance. read more

My mole problem is worse now than before I hired them. The owner was belligerent and rude. My first complaint email was ignored. My second complaint, in which I courteously asked for a discount due to his failed service, was answered very coarsely, laced with sarcasm and invalid excuses. read more
