Quarterly inspection and web removal (around the house, windows & doors & trees lower limbs) and treatment - the techs always do these things PLUS before starting they ask if I noticed any issues, they close the back yard 'tricky double gate' with 'jury rigged crevice cover up hardware' for the sneaky little ninja dog #4. AND an 'exit interview kind-of email' telling me what they did and saw. Then I set down and review their email and go to their web site and pay the very small bill using any credit card of my choosing. I am very old, very. I would stay away from this company. I cancelled my service beginning of March and now they want to say I owe them a cancelation fee April 22nd. I would think you would say something about this when I cancelled my service not in a email over a month later. This company never did a great job and I had specific notes that should have been in my file that I had to repeat and ask for at every service and still sometimes still didn't get everything I asked for. There are better companies out there I would stay away from this one. read more

Worst billing ever! Once again you failed to produce a bill. Apparently we were not available when the service was performed, we usually pay at the door to the technician. The technician Apparently never followed up with billing department so we could be notified of our bill. Now I'm contacted saying our account is past due. YOU NEVER SENT A BILL!!! Saying again as this has happened before. No email, no snail and no text bill was ever sent. Now that we know we have a bill it will be paid ASAP. Joshua's offers free attic inspection to their clients. When serviceman came out to inspect he came down from attic and said we had a mouse infestation and there was evidence of burrowing by mice. He said we needed to have insulation that was specially treated with a substance that would kill insects for $6200. After we gave pause to this he said ok I can give it to you for $5200 if you sign on today and have it done tomorrow. That is when I knew it was probably a scam. We contacted another pest control company and they came out and said we do not have a mouse infestation and we do not need to have new insulation placed over our existing insulation. We are very disappointed in Joshua's and have canceled their services. We will be using Buggies pest control from now on. read more

This company charged me $14,000 to eradicate mice in the attic over the garage. This is a brand new townhouse. I doubt if I even had mice.

I've been wth Joshua's for over a decade, and they were great until this year. Now their service has gone downhill dramatically. From calling with in issue only to be met with a message that says "we're in training, please call back", with no way to leave a message, to scheduling days, not times for appointments, to not showing up at all, to showing up and treating only to have the problem recur 2-weeks later and then saying they can't deal with it for 4 days. I used to recommend Joshua's. Now I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Got locked into a one year contract with them before ever experiencing their first service. Expensive and extremely poor quality. First service was supposed to take a least an hour; they were out of my house in twenty minutes and sat in their cars for the rest of the time so it looked like they did a full service. Called them about it and they said they would send someone back out. Someone came out and again spent maybe 10 minutes inside, and told me when it came to spraying for bugs they will only treat the area you saw bugs they don't treat the whole house. They only have one type of bait for mice, the cheaper type that the mice that were in our basement never went for, and they don't check the bait stations routinely. I told them I had a terrible first visit and because of that I wanted to cancel. Since I had a contract with them (which they never sent to me) they said I would have to pay out the entire year. Service costs $175 every three months and I barely see them: all they do is spray the yard (apparently but I've never seen that either), they don't wipe down the cobwebs like they say they will, check around the house etc., I'm basically throwing money to the wind. Get plenty of texts wanting to do attic inspections and whatnot, but I'm sure that's just to try and charge me for a separate service. I also get texts from their servicers saying "they're sad to see me go!" And "they'd love to have me back" when my service is STILL ONGOING and I haven't yet cancelled (because I can't) so that's annoying. Also they still haven't changed their name over fully from their original "Moxie" pest control service on all of their devices, so it will still come up as "moxie" on your bill rather than Joshua's, and on occasion will say Moxie pest control on the voice message when you call them. Worst company. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. Use Mantis or Weavers or frankly anyone but Joshua's. I cannot WAIT to cancel my service this summer. read more

At the last minute we decided to have the technician spray for fruit flies/gnats. He did so without question as well as took care of the normal maintenance. They ignored my "no soliciting" sign and rang the bell anyway, I pointed the sign out to him and he apologized that he didnt see it. Then he went to the 2 homes next to me who also have "no soliciting" signs and also tried to sell them service. Terrible company. And before the Customer service rep comes on here and asks for address block future inquires, why would anyone give their name and address to this company?? UPDATE: I see they replied to apologize, THEN WHY DO YOU KEEP TELLING YOUR SALES PERSONS TO IGNORE NO SOLICITING SIGNS????!?!?!?! I used Joshua's Pest Control for a little over four years. Recently, I scheduled my quarterly visit. I wasn't home the day of the appointment, but checked my cameras later and saw that the technician did a mediocre job missing some areas that other technicians had covered. I called and set up an appointment for a do over and they failed to show up at the time they designated without even a text saying the tech would be late. They are no longer reliable. I was sold a $99 service which escalated to $159. There is an early termination fee for cancellation of the service before one year. Last service they gave a call 5 minutes before arrival. Didnt talk to us so the service was incomplete with no spraying inside. The previous two visits were one during a thunderstorm and the second was this March during a snow blizzard. Snow bugs were not detected. I do not recommend this company. However the technition was polite. read more

I've told them repeatedly I'm not interested, but they keep showing up--pushing their service aggressively like I somehow owe them my business. This company has terrible customer service and will not take care of a problem. Recently moved and inspection came back that area they have treated for two years in my yard still has termites but because I recently moved the bait stations to my new house they won't warranty my house I am selling. I have paid thousands of dollars to end the termites and then prevent and apparently that all did nothing and they are not willing to resolve the problem. I will have to pay a different company to come treat and certify the termites are dead. Canceling all services. Losing $100 a month in recurring revenue to not take care of a long time customer with one treatment. Silly. read more
