So fun! I was…read morelooking for something different to do for my bday and kept hearing about Goat Yoga. So we gave it a shot! I've never done yoga or been in close proximity with a mass amount of goats before and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. When you arrive to the property you will need to park on the street and head down on foot. You're greeted by the owners, where you can rent a mat for $5 (if you don't bring your own). There is a little spot for you to put your shoes and belongings and then you head in to the gated yoga center. The views are amazing! Before the yoga starts, one of the owners gives a little pep talk about the property, shares some history with you and has some fun trivia questions. He was really good about going around and getting pictures of everyone throughout the experience too. Right away it's a light environment and it's pretty clear that it is completely okay if you prefer to chill with the goats and not get an intense yoga session in. Our instructor was patient and really took her time with us, with all of the goat distractions going on. The goats are not shy at all. One of them perched on my partners mat the entire time. Others came and went. I looked around at one point and almost every person had a goat or two on or next to them. All of the goats are clean, friendly and super cute. I was a little nervous about them getting on my back, but it was fine! So glad we tried this out! Definitely recommend for a fun day in the country.

The view is stunning and Wendy and Kai are such kind and generous hosts. Don't expect a rigorous yoga class, the yoga is kind of secondary to the joy of the goats, but they state all that up front. Highly recommend as a unique way to see Up Country!

Five Stars - The Perfect Start to a Maui Morning…read more I discovered Johanna's oceanfront yoga class about 30 minutes before it started. My kids were still asleep, so I quietly slipped away, rushed over, and made it just in time. I'm so glad I did. The class had just over a dozen participants, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. What impressed me most was how Johanna offered variations and options throughout the session, making it accessible and enjoyable for people of different experience levels. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or just looking to stretch out on vacation, you'll feel comfortable here. The setting was absolutely magical. There were both shaded and sunny spots available, allowing everyone to find their perfect place. The sound of the ocean provided a natural soundtrack, while the gentle morning breeze added to the sense of calm and grounding. It was one of those experiences that reminds you why you came to Maui in the first place. I hadn't made reservations because I didn't even know the class existed until shortly before it began. After chatting with Johanna afterward, I learned more about her offerings and was even more impressed. I used a towel instead of a yoga mat and did just fine. She also had straps, blocks, balls, and other props available to help participants get the most out of the practice. After class, she had some fun yoga-related items available for purchase, and I would definitely encourage people to leave a tip if they walk away feeling as refreshed and energized as I did. Honestly, if this class were offered every day that I'm in Maui, I would attend every morning. It was the perfect combination of movement, mindfulness, nature, and positive energy. As I write this, I'm convinced I'm about to have my best day in Maui--and I credit that in large part to starting the morning with Johanna's yoga class. Highly recommended for visitors and locals alike.
