I was in town for the day and needed a good workout and I saw the Hot Pilates class with Sam. I signed up and I'm so glad I did. This was such a great class. Sam was so friendly and I loved our conversations before class. She gave the class a full body workout and was super knowledgeable about what moves targeted each muscle group. I really believe Maui hot yoga is a 4.5 Star joint but am dinging the place slightly for uneven levels of instruction. We visited wailea and came to Maui hot yoga for 4/5 days of our visit. We did the 1 week intro special which was a phenomenal deal. The place is clean and we were able to rent mats and towels. Elise in particular was an amazing teacher as she focused on the class and made more difficult poses accessible for the group. I am a 10 year practitioner of Bikram but do not have certain poses like headstand / wheel and crow in my practice. I also struggle with knee issues and I felt like Elise was particularly attentive towards the class. Elise was a 5 plus plus star instructor but others were not. I felt like all the teachers had extremely strong practices. The problem was in 2/4 classes, the instructor was more focused on practicing herself and paid zero attention to what we could and couldn't do. One teacher had us do some very tough poses on knee and hip flexibility (which I watched dumbfoundedly) and despite being right in front of her, she offered zero suggestions on how I could modify to make the pose accessible. If teachers were consistent about teaching and not just practicing yoga I would for sure upgrade Maui hot yoga to five stars. read more

I was thankful to find a hot yoga studio while on Maui for work. Bess was a fantastic teacher. She paid attention to everyone, gave gentle corrections that really helped my practice. The space has mirrors on 2 walls, which was also really nice. I hadn't seen a side view of the poses before and that also helped! And it's got a cute ocean theme on the rest of the space, including the ceiling:) I highly recommend Maui hot yoga! read more

Awesome yoga class taught by Amy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my first hot yoga class. We were expertly led through a series of asanas, vinyasa style which we repeated three times each asana. It was a nice blend of slow stretches and active strength poses. By the end of the 90 minute class I was soaked with sweat and my muscles are jelly. I wish I lived on Maui year round so I could keep going. Couldn't ask for better yoga. read more

This is a great place. I met these two at the sushi restaurant down the street, and could tell they had something going on. Their energy was vibrating off them!! So today I went for the 9:30 class and got a week pass. I loved it ! I'll be coming back over and over again. If you want a good hot sweaty yoga session , come here. You'll love the vibe. :) They also have dolphins , whales sacred geometry beautifully painted on the walls,on the ceilings, make sure to bring clothes you dont mind being drenched in, and an extra towel. You're going to need it. The classes are 90 minutes, You hold the poses for a long time...very good challenge for your mind and body. You'll love it !!! read more

I love Maui Hot Yoga. I was getting discouraged in my yoga practice due to limitations from having my right shoulder replaced in January. I have had to make serious modifications in my practice to accommodate and be mindful of my shoulder. Everyone at this studio has helped me modify my practice in a way where I am challenged, yet safe with my poses. I went on a vacation for my 30th birthday to Maui with my boyfriend, and had my heart set on taking a couple of yoga classes in a studio while there. I have a strong personal practice, as I am a teacher myself, and did plenty of my own yoga on our lanai looking out over the ocean, but really wanted a couple of challenging classes in studio where i could get into my body and breath under someone else's guidance. Now, let me preface this by saying I don't often take studio classes because I'm so regularly disappointed in the style, difficulty, and teacher...not in a judgmental way, just in a safety and style way. I know what i want from my practice and i know i can provide it for myself. This story is a grand exception to my rule. I took two classes at Maui Hot Yoga, I was able to ride my bike there, and was delighted by a small and cozy practice space complete with unique, epic walls of murals, a balmy heated climate, and a strong, vigorous practice. I took both classes from Elise, because I was so enamored with her teaching style the first time that I had to go back for more. She is incredible. Laid-back, humble, and a steady, gifted, incredibly well-trained instructor. The second class was completely different and unique from the first, while just as amazing and challenging. This is a very huge deal to me. I snagged the $30 intro deal which ended up saving me $10 for 2 drop-in classes, and was able to enjoy a hard, sweaty, delicious yoga practice that was perfectly balanced between yin and yang. Elise's creative, soulful, safe, vigorous, and attentive (she was able to skillfully address varying experience levels as well as injuries she had taken note of before class with grace and poise) sequencing allowed me to let go in a studio class like i haven't in years. What an amazing place, I was so thrilled to find a hot vinyasa place in Maui and continue my practice from power land. So thrilled that I met Kellie;) the day I came I learned that there had been a hold placed on my credit card and I thought I was going to have to walk out. Kellie said we should practice anyway and offered to do 30 minutes with me, which ended up being an hour. She was an amazing instructor, challenging at times, not relative at all (like some of the large places I've been to back home) and exactly what I needed. Maui hot yoga is fantastic! It's where my love of yoga was born and where I will continue to grow. The studio is covered in a beautiful ocean mural, has mirrors (I like mirrors for alignment and don't find them distracting) and the infrared heat is where it's at! I know what you're thinking: Why hot yoga in Maui? Because it's not brutally hot. The studio keeps the temperature at just enough heat to where you feel comfortable and able to actually enjoy the entire 90 minutes. It feels wonderful to have this time to yourself. It's a lot like taking a mini-vacation from the busy, every day life. And the studio is gorgeous! The walls are decorated with sea life giving you that true feeling of all the magic Maui has to offer. My instructor, Tashmere, offered wonderful guidance, encouragement and transforming adjustments. All in all, Maui Hot Yoga provides quality instruction and a blissful atmosphere all while purifying the body and mind for a better you, in turn a better world as a whole. I went to this studio expecting a bikram class. But the "hot yoga" class I took was nothing like bikram. The teacher was very sweet but the structure of the class was very loose and hard to follow. So the experience wasn't what I expected although it was still good to be in a yoga studio and stretch for 90 minutes but I wouldn't recommend it for people looking for a bikram class. read more

Love this place. Have taken several classes here with different instructors and enjoyed every one of them. During several classes they had students from the Teacher Training class in our morning classes and it only added to the experience. The Hot Yoga class is good for all skill levels and the instructor would always take the time to help with a pose and to thoroughly explain the pose and help make adjustments. Met several people who came from their New York studio, Yoga Oasis who raved about the classes there as well. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I love this place!!! So great to find such a perfect little workout spot on the island. This place has excellent instructors who really are dedicated to their craft and the classes are intense. WOW!!! This an AWESOME FIND. I came to Maui for 17 days and I took two full weeks of classes, Mary is great!! I had such a great time with instructors and classes and yes I was challenged at times but they teach you what to do, how and why to do the poses; this is how Yoga is suppose to be taught. Personally I would like to know if I am doing a pose wrong because I will hurt myself and for god sakes your in Maui your suppose to have fun and not be stuffy and Rigid. The energy and atmosphere of this studio is simply vibrating, I wished I live here year round this would be my regular studio. The prices are reasonable especially for the studio, teachers and experience. I say this is the Hottest SPOT on the Island you Will LOVE it :) read more

One of the things we wanted to find on our vacation was to continue our Hot Yoga practice and we found Maui Yoga & Kickboxing and we couldn't have found a better place. Amy is a wonderful leader - attentive and very helpful in making you practice even more effectively. The class was a "killer" - and by the end my wife and I were both soaked but really excited about what we had just experienced.
