I recently took my 2019 Cadillac XT5 to Cat City Auto Body after an object flew into the front grille while I was driving on the highway. The damage required replacing both the grille and bumper, and I couldn't be more impressed with the results. The finished work was completely seamless -- the paint match is exact, and you would never know there had been any damage. The customer service is outstanding, especially Ramona. She is prompt in her replies, highly professional, and keeps you informed throughout the process. She and the entire front office staff are friendly and welcoming, which makes what can be a stressful situation much easier to navigate. The technicians were also professional and courteous. They've even helped us in the past with small repairs on another vehicle (not an insurance claim), and the pricing was very reasonable. I've been to this place twice and each time, they have been able to help with getting the driver door handle back on the car so I can get in and out without having to go through the passenger door. (It's beenpiece of work) There were other places that didn't want to bother with it as it may have been too small of job. But CatCity Auto Body treated this guy (me) that had a door handle issue that kept falling out after two tries to fix it himself, they didn't look down on the job and at least until the other part comes in they said they were looking for, I at least have a vehicle that has all the door handles in it now. I took my 2012 Ford Edge in to get an estimate on a rear bumper repair. I was met by a very friendly receptionist who asked me to have a seat while she asked the Customer Service Agent to meet with me. The Customer Service Agent welcomed me and we went to check out my auto. She took a look at the problem and asked me to drive the car into one of the stalls and had a mechanic take a look at the problem while I went to the waiting room which was very clean, cool and had a TV, coffee maker and water. Within less than 10 minutes the Customer Service Agent came back and asked me to look at the bumper. They were able to fix the problem much to my surprise and she told me no charge and sent me on my way. I just had a very delightful experience with these guys. I have a receiver bike rack that I needed the hitch pin hole enlarged. I called and spoke with Romona who checked with the shop to see if they could do it. She said to bring it in and they'd take a looks at it. I did just that and a tech took it back in the shop, bored it out and checked the fit in my receiver hitch - PERFECT. Went back into pay for their services and was told "Don't worry about it". In addition to fixing the bumper and front of the car, they also fixed an old paint job gone wrong (originally done by someone else) on the hood of the car. I was served by David who honored a low front bumper repair and paint quote I had been given online, even though according to official prices, it should have been much more. He went out of his way to help me before I brought my car in and after it was done. He told me that he organized the work throughout the process, pushing my bumper through the work step by step. He even added a service to my headlights for free. He listened to my concerns about the new paint matching the original paint on adjacent body parts and spent extra time and money to make it perfect. I took my car to Cat City on a recommendation from a friend who is in the high line car business. I was met by Gino who took my information which included an insurance claim from a lady who hit the driver side of my car (the car was a month old when I sent it to them and now it is 2 months old). There was also a small door ding in the passenger side I asked to be added to my quote. They said it would take about 10 days to fix it. I waited 2 weeks before calling to be told they are waiting for the insurance company to approve a couple of new problems with the car. When I went to pick up the car, finally after a month, I was assured the car was ready. In driving the car home I realized the window was not working properly and the door handle was lose, two things you would think would have been handled before they called me. I was leaving for La the next morning early and when I got on the freeway there was a tremendous noise coming from the window. I had to turn around, get another car and head to LA. Upon returning from LA I dropped the car back to them and within a day I was called to say the car for sure was ready this time. I picked up the car, went to get a coffee and when I closed the door there was a big rattle coming from the door. To say I was furious is an understatement. In taking the car back to the shop I asked to talk with Gino and Art the manager. They both opened and closed the door and at first said they didn't hear anything. Then it seemed their ears opened and they both miraculously heard the noise. I then began to get very upset. Gino didn't say much but Art try to make sense out of how and why this can happen. I told him it simply isn't true and I left the car for them and took uber home. The next day I talked to Art the Manager who again had the balls to tell me that "he didn't want to lie to me but you will probably still hear a little rattle. We couldn't repair the car 100%" WTF. I have been in the car business for 28 years and have never heard such a thing or said such a thing. I just told Art that you need to fix the car 100% or I'll take it to a body shop and expect that the bill would be sent to him to pay. In addition they never fixed the door ding on the passenger. If you've gotten to this point then I hope you'll never user Cat City Collision. There are too many good body shops in the valley to have to put up with terrible service. Also I've been offered any recompense for my troubles; no offer to pay for my lease payment (I didn't take a loaner car because the promised it would be fixed in 10 days) no offer to pay for Uber, no let me get you a coffee nada. read more
