This review is specifically about the conduct of the front desk employee, Stephanie. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect shown during a simple customer interaction was unacceptable. What should have been a routine appointment turned into a hostile experience due entirely to her aggressive tone and confrontational behavior. Customer service requires professionalism, communication, and respect none of which were demonstrated. Being spoken to in a rude and dismissive way at the front desk reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated, management seriously needs to address staff training and accountability. I hope corporate reviews how situations like this are being handled, because no customer should leave feeling disrespected after simply trying to receive service. read more

I had a door dent mysteriously appear in my drivers door. A big dent. My insurance company, State Farm, recommended Caliber Collision and they were super close. So, there I was, dropping off my car. Israel is a busy guy and not always available. He was my main contact. Yet, I never waited long and had my truck back in 9 days. They replaced the door and did a great job. A perfect paint match. I received daily update texts, so I knew I had not been forgotten. I also got a call toward the end telling my they were close to being done. I picked my car up a day before they estimated. So there I am, picking up the car and planning to go clean the interior. Holy cow!!! They did that! What an amazing thing they did! The staff can feel a bit mechanical, with very little casual banter at the front desk. Yet, it's a super great group of people that do a super great job. Value wise, car repairs are expensive. I just remember, I'm not only paying for the door repairs, I trust I'm paying for a good living wage, insurance, and some perks to maintain good people. I hope I don't need a body shop (for my car) again, but if I do, I won't hesitate to return to Caliber. Yes, I do need a body shop for my old body, but that review is still out. read more

My car looks almost new again and they kept in touch to let me know what was happening as far as repair. They arranged for the car rental company to pick me up there. Recently had my wife's Honda CRV in the shop at Caliber to repair some tailgate damage from a recent fender bender. Benjamin Reyes, our service advisor, was exceptional. In an era where people more often than not over promise and under deliver, Benjamin and the Caliber team did quite the opposite. Their work was complete, immaculate and done in a timely manner at a fair price. So much so that I subsequently took my Hyundai Tucson in to have a significant dent repaired. I'm on the road full-time and I don't have a trusted mechanic that I go to, so when I need one, it's always hard to find someone who will #1. Not try to take advantage and rip me off because I'm a woman #2. Know what they're doing mechanically and not just guessing. Caliber Collision is the best place to bring your vehicle should you need auto body repair. I have always taken my vehicle to Caliber Collision, except one time I took it to another collision repair and I was not exactly satisfied. On a whim, I decided to take my vehicle to Caliber Collision to ask if they could re-open my claim with my insurance company to properly fix what was wrong with all the front sensors and recalibration on my vehicle that was unable to be completed by the previous auto body shop. Ben Reyes helped me and within minutes of inspecting my vehicle he knew approximately what needed to be done. I cannot say enough about the team at Caliber Collision, everyone at this office is knowledgeable on what needs to be done and they execute it perfectly. I was helping an older friend find a place to get some work done on his car after he hit the pole in his carport. We did get 3 estimates and chose the one we thought was best and although all where competitive Vincent at Caliber was exceptional from the time I first walked in to get a quote. Vincent kept us informed and was stuck to his original time frame he quoted on day 1. When we picked up the car I was amazed and how nice the car looked, not only was repair work done flawlessly but it looked as though they detailed the entire car making it look brand new (its a 2013). Unfortunately my wife was in a horrendous auto accident. As she continues to heal, our vehicle was repaired. Caliber was excellent with updating the vehicles' time frame of completion. The athsteics was impeccable however the mechanics of the vehicle was not. The alternator was damaged and was not replaced. The vehicle stalled without any power the day after we picked up my daughter's car. We returned the vehicle to have the alternator replaced. Israel stated the part would arrive the following day. Doug showed me a video of the alternator's power but he did not state the alternator was replaced. After my daughter's wedding late into the evening, the car would not start, completely without power. After waiting for 2 hours, our roadside service arrived and tested the alternator. He stated it was never replaced. Needless to say I was greatly disappointed with Doug and Israel. We had the vehicle serviced at Chuey's in Cathedral City and they did a full inspection for any damages related to the accident. We are grateful for our adjustor Josh with State Farm for his integrity and support during this ordreal. read more

What a nightmare of a business. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anybody. My car was involved in an accident and had some major damage. I was being told for over a month and a half that they were waiting for an airbag to finish the repairs. I had to really push my insurance company to get involved and then we find out they had never Put my car up on the racks to see exactly what the damage was. And their estimate went from $7000 to over $16,000 and they decided tototal my car after they had it for over a month and a half. Stay the hell away from this place. read more

I have to hand kudos to Caliber Collision on 68945 Perez Road for the extra attention to details when fixing my car! After being hit again by an uninsured motorist, I had taken my car to this location to assess the damage and open up a claim. My prior fix was with the local Genesis Dealer in Palm Springs and let's just say there were more than a few details that were overlooked. This time I met with Fernando and he ordered all the parts needed. I had to wait for some parts that were back ordered due to the supply shortage, but Caliber kept me updated on the delivery time. When parts came in, I dropped off my car and got a rental through my policy while they fixed my car. I only had a week left of rental coverage as my insurance company was counting this repair as an extension of the repair from the local dealer. Let's just say things got very complicated between my insurance coverage, days left on rental coverage and my car needing more time as it had to be sent out to have the paint resealed after curing 30 days. Cilajet is an Aircraft Grade Paint Sealant that goes over the clear coat and keeps the paint looking new for years. My car was sent to the Land Rover Dealer to have this reapplied and it took much longer than anticipated. Doug Prosise, the Owner & General Manager of the Caliber Collision Stepped up to the plate and covered five days of extra rental car coverage for me at NO Charge! Caliber has fixed my vehicles before, but this time they went way above and beyond what they had to do or pay for to get the job done!! They kept me on the road until my car was ready, took care of the repairs and the many phone calls while coordinating all these extra details to bring my cars paint back to life. Windshield repair... Honda sent me to them. Said they do all of their body and glass work. At first I was told by Victor that they don't do windshields and I should find a glass company. Then Less than 2 minutes later, he told me that they DO glass for State Farm and other insurance companies but they farm it to another company. It didn't seem like he actually knew what they do. He was nice enough so I let it slide. He told me if I brought the car in early in the morning they would have it done the same day. So I scheduled it and dropped it at 8am on Tuesday. The girl at the front desk told me I'd get it back the FOLLOWING day on Wednesday .... I told her Victor told me I'd get it THAT day, she said one day meant the following day. I reminded her that dropping it Tuesday morning and getting it late Wednesday was actually 2 days... not one. So, again, she's half way nice, so I let it slide. Silly me! THE FOLLOWING DAY, Wednesday. I get a call from Victor saying they are going to 'try' to get it done 'early for me' ON Thursday INSTEAD OF FRIDAY. WHAT..?? I called and told him I was completely confused and reiterated what he'd told me. He squirmed and himmhawed around said he told the front office to tell me it might be Friday. I told him that wasn't the message I was given and I brought it in early so I could have it same day..as promised. He squirmed a bit more and said he'd call me when it was done. What a bunch of ..... He called shortly after 4 Wednesday saying it was done and I had until 5 to pick it up. I told him it was too late for me to get there by 5 and I'd get it Thursday am. The bottom line... these people tell you a lot of things that they shouldn't and if they were truthful in the beginning, customers like me would not be upset enough to negatively review them on Yelp. No one cares to be led on and lied too. It's unprofessional so BUYER BEWARE.... They'll likely blow a lot of smoke and not deliver on time - just know that going in! read more

I highly recommend caliber collision!! ISRAEL was the name of the man who assisted me throughout my repairs and he was so incredibly kind and helpful!! My car, a 2019 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback, was vandalized by someone trying to break in and they did quite the number on my front right passenger side but now my car looks brand new, thanks to caliber collision!! The repairs came out AWESOME !! Guys, I love my car, her name is Venus and she is my girlfriend. I was super stressed about finding the right place - and now that I have, I will not be going anywhere else! I also had a dent on my door that was on the driver side that was not initially a part of my repairs, but Israel made a point to call their dent repair person and have him price out an estimate so we could have the dent fixed while my car was already in the shop! I was so so grateful I was able to get everything done in one visit! (For a really good price too!) They also estimated 3 weeks for the repairs to be done and I got my car back after only 2 weeks! To go even further with my satisfaction, I work in construction, and I've had to fix 3 tires in the last year due to nails and screws that find their way to the road and get run over, causing a flat. My tire was extremely low upon picking it up and Israel noticed it first, took my car back and filled my tire with air and was prepared to patch it if needed for no additional charge! The staff was also super nice and very helpful and they offer coffee/tea/water and popcorn while your waiting! I'm a sucker for that sort of thing. I also forgot my packet that included the receipts and services I had done and they mailed it out to me with no problem! Anyways, trust that Caliber Collision will deliver professional and clean service! Don't forget to request Israel, he's the right guy, personable, knowledgeable, and professional! I will never be taking my car back to that shop. Caliber Collision 68945 Perez rd Cathedral city Ca 92234 has very poor customer service skills. The front desk was great. As far as the manager and his staff that works on getting back to clients about car information or updates.. they are completely focused on giving you the runaround. The delay on getting the "part ordered and delivered" was insane. I got my windshield replaced within a day. Far less time than they had told me, so I got a rental for nothing basically. The way they treated me as far as a gas complaint because they gave me my car back completely on empty where it was barely drivable to the nearest gas station. When I complained to the manager, he gave me attitude and asked if I was asking for free gas. I told him simply that I wanted my gas put back to where it was not more or less. I was not trying to get anything "free" out of it. All of the staff had pointed me to the manager over this issue and he handled it very poorly! He even was sarcastic and said that he would pump it himself. When I arrived at the time he told me to arrive the following morning, he had a supposed meeting that came up all of a sudden. They told me that he wouldn't be out for another hour and a half half. I could not believe the way they were handling everything. Finally, they were able to get a worker to follow me to the gas station where he went inside to the gas station and gave $20 for gas. It was barely where it was at before. I left it at that. I will never be going back there to that shop. I advise anyone to stay away. read more
