They always recycle the same menu each week, fail to provide substantial nutrition, or just not worth the splurge. BEWARE OF SAFETY Yesterday the delivery person could not find my place and did not deliver my food. Shortly after i received a text saying my food was delivered. I gave better instructions over text to which the driver responded include those in the delivery instructions next time. Close to midnight there was a loud knock on my door. I went to check and no one was there. This morning I see a half-eaten container of food left outside my house. This feels very unsafe and i do have Ring doorbell. I have attached a photo of the container of food. I would like a full refund. This is extremely concerning and i have final exams this week that is why i decided to use your service this week. Instead of receiving food, I am traumatized by this experience. We have been loyal Catered Fit customers for almost 3 years. We have dinners delivered 5 days a week. The food is fresh, healthy and quite delicious. We initially decided on this meal plan because our children recommended this meal service. They have 2 meals a day through Catered Fit. I don't know how the food is BUT their drivers are a menace on the road. I and ALL travelers on the road one day traveling I-5 north, when a CateredFit truck came up out of nowhere traveling a very high rate of speed thru traffic, almost causing several serious accidents. I immediately called the number on the van to report what was happening with their driver; long story short, everyone I spoke with in management took a complete hands off approach, like I was bothering them. I wish I discovered this company sooner. Affordable and tasty meal plans that makes my busy work weeks so much more manageable. What's more - they actually have lots of vegetarian options. The mushroom burger is my favorite. Mmmm so good! And there's tons of different dishes every week, so you never get bored. The serving sizes are also great; prevents you from overeating. Only two downsides - their dishes are quite salty and I would love for them to find ways to be more sustainable. There's a plastic ice pack with every daily delivery. I wish there was an option to not have that, since I am home everyday now. And the containers are made from recycled plastic, but still lots and lots of plastic. Just here to say you need a better sales team! My husband and I tried contacting your business to sign up separately and for me took 3 days to get on the phone with a sales rep and for him 4 days! When I got on the phone he seemed annoyed and not at all interested to explain their offerings to me and basically was telling me that me (5'7" 180 pounds wanting to lose 20 pounds) need to have the same meal plan as my fiancé who's 6'2" 200 trying to get to 180... made 0 sense! I ended up finding ready fit go while I was driving passed their location and was able to sign up asap and my fiancé as well and both very happy with the meal prep options specific for our dietary goals and needs and will be using for the next 10 months until our wedding. You lost good customers with very bad service! I even tried talking to customer service with a couple questions and they basically hung up on me and said to call back for sales again. I've been using them for the last year and had an overall good experience. They deliver food daily and on time and always taste delicious. They also have a variety of food options to choose from. I encountered minor issues with customer services delayed response but understand they're a growing company. Overall, I would recommend and have recommended to multiple people but they need to keep an eye on their prices, as they continue to go up, and food prep as I've found two hairs in my food in the past year, but they waived and made right. DO NOT ORDERI've been using them for the last year and they were great at first but they've progressively gotten worse. In the past two months alone, I've found hair in three of my meals. Then, you always have to turn off auto renew after each order if you don't want auto renew, which I do every time (annoyingly) because I travel for work, but this time they didn't follow and I was charged without being able to update my order. I immediately contacted them to update and refund the difference, which they agreed too initially but it's been three days and I've followed up several times (see attached) with no response and now they want to give me a credit on my next order for an amount less than what I am owed- They want to charge $748.50 for 3 meals a day for 20 days but it's regularly $655. I gave them every opportunity to correct and contacted them multiple times. The hair in the meals was gross and I let it slide but I can't deal with terrible customer service; especially when it was their mistake. At this point, I'm done with them and don't recommend unless they can do a complete turnaround and make it right; and keep in mind that I've spent over $6,500 on them in the last year alone and referred many people and all they needed to do to keep me was refund the difference. My experience with "CateredFit" It's very disappointing to know that the company I took my time on selecting to help me during my postpartum recovery wasn't what I expected them to be. As a new Mom the first 6 weeks after having a Baby are very important emotionally/physical and stress needs to be avoided. After one of my physical therapy appointments, I got home feeling tired and ready to have lunch. I sat down opened the chicken salad from CateredFit and started eating, as I was halfway thru eating my salad that's when I felt somthing off, I removed my fork saw an insect sitting on my fork. My stomach turned. I couldn't look at the plate and screamed at my husband telling him to take the plate away, he didn't understand what was happening. I couldn't even speak, when he looked at the plate and saw the worm looking caterpillar. Then understood why I was losing my mind. Immediately after that I started crying and feeling sick to my stomach, vomiting. I was very upset and all I could think of was of all the meals that I ate and couldn't stop thinking that I had probably eaten an insect without knowing, feeling grossed. Meal plans are a great idea, and I guess it is unavoidable that there will be a lot of sodium and fat in the meals - Necessary for food that is being transported and reheated. Quality-wise I am 50/50. Chicken dishes are good but fish dish was super fatty and beef was a bit...mysterious if you will. Also it would be nice if the containers were able to be cleaned and re-used (They suggest that the customer up-cycles them but there are only so many containers that one needs) BUT what is not unavoidable is non-existent customer service. As I write this I have been "first in line" for a telephone rep for the last HOUR. The ONLY change I need to make is one that the rep put on my account when I asked them not to. So....they changed a setting on my account which can ONLY be fixed by calling them but the call is simply not answered. Just "You are first in line and can expect call to be answered in 20 seconds" Kind of a shame that customers experience this type of irritation when PAYING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS for a service. And....I'm still "first in line". Be warned. read more

Last year I found a sharp piece of plastic in my food that almost got into my throat. It was a shattered lid. I thought ok, happens to anyone- I also a business owner. They replaced the meal (just one meal) no extra courtesy (at least that's what I do if I mess up in my business) but ok, everyone is different. Then we were traveling and disconnected services. This year we restarted and right of the bat there is a piece of little stone that my husband bit on and cracked his tooth. It's been several days that he can't eat or drink hot or cold. He reached out to the support and asked how they want to resolve this. They totally shut him off saying it's not their scope of practice. What are the chances that problems occurred in one household in a short period of time? So besides their production issues and lack of care for their customers, their food may be dangerous for your health. Think twice or prepare for dental bills. We'll be searching for legal settlements to protect our rights and other ppl who suffered from their negligence. Such business practice shouldn't be supported in the US. read more

Since then, I've noticed a few issues that are making me rethink the service: 1. I updated my preferences to exclude certain things and Cantaloupe has still popped up in one or two of my breakfasts. 2. I have been receiving 3 meals a day plus snacks. The problem is the snacks have not been paleo (even though my account is paleo only) so I can't eat them. 3. The other day, my delivery came at 11;30pm and since I was already sleeping, it sat out all night and was not cold in the morning. (Also my bag ripped about 4 weeks ago and the delivery person hasn't replaced it. They just keep putting food inside the ripped bag. I first tried it on my own while on a fitness regime and I loved the food so much I told my husband we should order our lunches from Catered Fit on a regular basis so that's what we've been doing! My favorite thing about this company is that they deliver their food fresh daily and their chicken meals have never been dry. I've tried other meal prep companies and the grilled chicken was always dry. Other companies also tend to deliver once a week and I found some vegetables were going bad by the end of the week. Catered Fot is always fresh and I love having a home cooked meal for my lunch every day! The only improvement I could ask of Catered Fit is to maybe try adding some protein powers to the carb filled breakfast items, aka waffles and pancakes! I've never tried any other meal subscription services, but Catered Fit stuck out to me on several points: 1. The meals are fully prepared, so all you have to do is heat them up and go (some other subscriptions require you to partially or fully cook them, so way less convenient) 2. The meals are delivered daily, so they're never frozen and always super fresh 3. The price is reasonable and doesn't feel higher than other subscriptions, even though I felt it was a better offering based on points 1 & 2. The food is really good. I can be pretty picky on quality, so this was a concern for me. I've only had one meal that I wasn't a huge fan of, and that may partially have been because I didn't have time to eat it the day of delivery, so the cornbread was a little bit mushy from sitting for a day. Overall, it's great quality, and there are tons of options to suit all tastes. Only slight downside is the portions are pretty small. You can load up with an athlete portion at $1 extra per meal, but that might be excessive for some. It feels like *just* enough, so you might be tempted to add a snack as part of your package. I've not had any issues with delivery either - the staff comes by and switches out your ice pack and drops in new meals inside of the delivery bag you purchase on sign up. Even in midsummer LA heat, everything has been chilly when I get home from work to pick it up. My only slight gripe so far is that I had some questions and tried to get in touch with customer service, but they were a bit slow to respond, and dropped my conversation, making it necessary for me to follow up again. We did eventually get to the bottom of it with no further issues, but it does seem like if you had a problem you'd have to be a little bit persistent with the team in getting a resolution. All in all, this is a real value for me when you consider the time you save not shopping, driving, cooking, and cleaning up. BEWARE if you are relying on this service for all of your meals, or are trying to follow a strict diet plan. So far, the food has been decent, but it's only my third day with this company, and already a full day's with of food (three meals) has not shown up. This happened last night. I love that the meals are delivered everyday! That's so convenient. However, the meals contain a lot of the things I don't like and some things I have to google because I've never even heard of it (bhindi, boniato, cabbage, kale, callaloo, chard, collard greens) as the sides. There are NO modifications, if you don't like something, too bad! You just have to spend the money and throw away/waste what you don't like. It seems like they are trying to be high end gourmet but sometimes basic vegetables are better. I know these greens are probably cheap but it doesn't matter how you cook them it's not good. The meat is not good quality. The steak is always fatty and very hard to chew which makes me never want to order the steak meals even though they look tasty. When you reheat meat it tends to get tougher. Also I have been ordering for a while now and if you set up auto pay, you do not get any perks.
