So they were fully aware the child was coming down with something and still had them lying right at the entrance of a business where customers were constantly walking by. I completely understand that childcare can fall through and that if someone doesn't work, they may not get paid. I genuinely sympathize with that situation. But exposing dozens of customers to someone who is actively getting sick is not the solution. It felt incredibly unsanitary and inconsiderate. By the time I realized what was going on and asked about it, the employee had already started making my drinks. Otherwise, I would have walked right back out. I came in to grab a drink, not knowingly expose myself and my family to someone who is sick. I understand being a working parent and being stuck in a difficult situation, but this was absolutely not okay with me.

The sweet staff not only gave me my drink, but also gave me a small cup containing the extra and I 100% appreciated that!!!! Thank you for not letting it go to waste and giving it to me! When I checked the gps to go back to my house, the drive was still going to be double the time to drive home than normal because of traffic. The whole way home I sipped this delicious smoothie which cooled my throat from the inside out and it lasted the whole way staying ice cold the entire drive!
