I recently visited Caterpillar and met with Kristina who was very warm welcoming and knowledgeable. She took time to explain everything without making me feel rushed and was willing to answer all my questions. Kristina is a sweetheart! I really enjoyed the space. It has warm colors, small class sizes and an amazing tree that is eye catching when you first walk through the door. The toddler space is really inviting, clean and it seems that the children would be stimulated throughout the day. They have an outdoor play space onsite which is really nice. I like that Caterpillar Care has food catered from Whole Foods. I got the feeling that they truly cared about your child and it would be a partnership if your child was at their facility. I can't say enough about this daycare! We had our son there from 6 months old until he was 2.5. We moved him a bit before 3 as I am pregnant and due with a second right around his 3rd birthday and didn't want too many changes for him at one time. After seeing what other daycares are like I can honestly say that the love and care he received while at Caterpillar is incomparable. I wish we could have kept him there longer. The leadership (Diana, Kristina & Liz) are so incredible and were there for every question we had and helped us through each transition as he grew there and at home. His teacher Ana is so absolutely amazing, we have been gone a month and my son still talks and asks about her daily. Since the first day our daughter attended Caterpillar Care, almost two years ago, it has been like a second home for her. The teachers and staff are so welcoming and you can tell they truly cared for her as much as she cared for them. It was amazing to see the excitement our daughter would have walking into the center and seeing her teachers, running up to them to give out morning hugs. I love that the Caterpillar Care centers are smaller and more hands on, with only 5 kids in our daughters 1-2 year old group, she was able to bond with her teachers and other children. We were beyond impressed with the learning curriculum Caterpillar Care provides for all levels of children from infant to toddler, making sure they are learning something new every day. The communication provided by Caterpillar Care is also top notch. They would respond almost immediately to texts/calls as well as reach out directly with any questions or concerns. We have been so happy with Caterpillar Care and are genuinely sad to be leaving such a wonderful place. My daughter started at Caterpillar Care in September and we have been beyond thrilled with our choice. As a first time parent the pressure of selecting the right daycare became even more daunting during a pandemic. We chose Caterpillar because we instantly felt welcomed and at ease with the precautions they were taking. It's been 6 months and my daughter loves her teachers and I can tell they genuinely care for her too. It is a small daycare (about 16ish kids across 3 classes) so it very much feels like a family. Even in the infant room they are intentional with their curriculum and activities every week - the sensory projects are a real hit with our daughter. Our experience has been incredible because of the staff and teachers. They are attentive, great communicators and truly work with you to ensure the best for your child. Ms. Kristina was thoughtful and patient with all of our questions when we got started. Ms. Erica's morning greetings start the day off right but it's truly Ms. Stephanie, her main teacher, who solidified our choice. My daughter has attended CC from the age of 3 months until recently when she graduated for Pre-K. We love the location, the beautiful center and mostly the amazing staff. Ana has been our daughters teacher, but really she has been like our extended family. She always gives us advice on potty training and dealing with toddler tantrums. She is truly a gem of a teacher. I love that we get a syllabus in advance so we know the lesson plan for each week. They truly care about the kids...and as a first time mom I didn't hesitate in dropping my daughter off. I wish we could have continued with them. In my daughter's new school, the director has already expressed how smart and advanced she is for her age, and honestly it's due to Ana's hard work. We joined the Caterpillar family when our little girl was 4 months old (she just turned 2) and we absolutely adore it here, it is a rare gem in the daycare community in my opinion. It is actually our 2nd daycare - we spent a month at another daycare and it broke my heart to bring our daughter there every day. It was uninviting and the staff just didn't have the compassion or interest that we hoped for. They had a webcam and I watched way more than I should of as our daughter sat in a bouncer the majority of the day while someone bounced her with their foot and then occasionally held her and she seemed to get little to no stimulation and most days she looked like she'd definitely been crying. All that to say I was ecstatic when we got the email that Caterpillar had an opening. Just viewing their website and seeing the picture of the original caterpillars over my maternity leave, my gut told me this was somewhere special. And from the moment we met Miss Diana and set foot in the center for our tour, I knew this was where our little girl was meant to be. Her first day they sent us pictures of her smiling and her first week we got her first art project, neither of which happened at our first center. There is so much love, as I tell people they treat our girl the closest you could possibly get to family. She has spent most of her time here with Miss Liz & Miss Yesenia and they're both beyond incredible. Our daughter is so excited to go to school and based upon the recaps/photos we receive each day you can tell she loves it and is so happy. In addition to it being a loving and fun environment, the staff works together to develop such a creative curriculum and our daughter has learned so much there both from an educational and a social standpoint. She has a handful of good friends to include her bestie that started the same week with her and it is beyond heartwarming to see good friendships being developed at such a young age. They cater lunch in and have a good diversity which I feel like that and eating with friends helped our daughter eat a variety of solids much quicker than our nephews her age. I feel like I could honestly go on and on and it is hard to recall everything that was important to us when we first looked for a daycare but coming to Caterpillar was the best decision we made for our daughter's care. I cannot tell you how priceless it is to know that she's so loved and cared for and happy each day and that she gains tremendously by being there in ways that I or a nanny could never give her at home from the creative learning to terrific friends and everything in between. We have been at Caterpillar Care since our little one was three months old, so just over a year. We absolutely love it. It's clean, welcoming and caters lunch, but I feel like that's standard (or should be). What sets CC apart are the wonderful and loving teachers, the excellent curriculum and the accessibility of the owner and director to answer questions, make us feel comfortable and make sure we are more than satisfied with the care our baby is receiving. It is the hardest thing in the world to leave your infant and go back to work; the only thing that made it bearable was knowing that the teachers at CC love and care for my baby almost as much as I do. A few things we love about it: - Small class - it isn't a big daycare where your child is lost in the mix or where they have to switch rooms/teachers every few months. Our son gets lots of one-on-one attention - Flexible/responsive - Our son has a few extra needs due to his eczema and food allergies and the staff has been amazing at accommodating/looking out for him. Whether its special supplements, extra lotion or double checking his meals to ensure they are safe for him to eat, they have his safety and care always in mind. - Food - I love that they get catered, cooked meals from Whole Foods! When your toddler is young you can get in a rut with food but I feel better knowing that their palates are expanding with new and nutritious food! My daughter has been at Caterpillar Care for almost a full year now, starting when she was 3 months old. I don't know how to put into words how amazing this center has been for us. The owner Diana is so loving, energetic, and passionate with the babies, and that carries through out the entire experience. My daughter LOVES this place and each of the amazing teachers love her back, when we pull up in the morning she actually starts clapping in the car. It is the most comforting feeling as a parent to drop off a baby who is happy and excited every day, and happy when we pick her up. Each teacher is so sweet and sends me text pictures of what she is up to during the day, as well as a full report when we leave. On top of this they also cater whole foods lunches for toddlers, have music programs, sensory activities, and story time each day as well as themes each week centered around developmental skills. They send out a daily email which details everything my child did during the day, including awesome photos. And if they are extra special photos the girls sometimes personally text them to us. It really comes down to the staff. Starting with Miss Diana, the owner, Kristina, and Miss Brittany who my son just adores, everyone is professional and extremely kind and loving to all the kiddos. We even use one of the girls as our go to for nights out or weekends when we are in need of a sitter. They really treat all the kids as if they are their own.
