We've recently had two plumbing issues and had the best experiences with Drain-EEZ Plumbing. Two days before the closing on our condo last month, we found a leak under the sink. This made us nervous because we needed the issue fixed fast before the final walk-through in two days with the new owner. After several frustrating calls to other plumbers, who had very confusing pricing schemes, I found Drain-EEZ Plumbing on Yelp and because of their excellent reviews, decided to call them. They were very pleasant and accommodating to our schedule and had a very reasonable price model (the plumber gives you a quote on the spot - if you decide not to have the plumbing work done, they only charge you $30 for the visit). They sent plumber Pat out that same day. Pat is very friendly, honest, excellent and patient at explaining plumbing issues, and was able to identify the problem as an irreparable issue with the faucet. We ran out and purchased a new faucet and he was able to install it the next morning. It was a tricky install because of the design of our corner sink, but Pat was able to get it done without a hitch. The new owners were very pleased. Then, as luck would have it, we had another plumbing issue in our new condo - an irreparable leak with a bathroom faucet this time. Of course I called Drain-EEZ Plumbers. Pat came out again, and confirmed that the faucet needed to be replaced. He offered to go out and get a similar faucet and come back and replace it. I was a little worried that the style would not match or would not be what I wanted, but the faucet he brought back was beautiful - he has great taste! The install went very quickly and it is working great. Pat also replaced a plastic hose on our toilet for just $10 - something he noticed when he was in our bathroom and said because it was plastic it would break and cause us a lot of grief. Glad he helped us before that happened. I feel that Pat is knowledgeable, fair, responsive, quick, and thorough. I definitely recommend these plumbers and would use them again! read more

I can't say enough great things about Drain-EEZ and Pat. My bathtub faucet suddenly began to leak. Not a drip, drip, but a steady stream. Found Dain-EEZ Plumbing here on Yelp and called Pat. It wasn't an emergency, so we scheduled an appointment a week later. However, over the week, the stream got worse and I was happy when the appointment day arrived with Pat and his assistant Jeff in tow, on time as promised. "In my 30 years, I've never seen a valve like this. This is a strange one." Words you never want to hear your plumber say. Apparently when the original faucet was installed probably 20 years ago, they spared *every* expense. However, Pat wouldn't give up and he and Jeff ran out to their supplier to see if he could get a replacement valve that would work with my odd faucet fixture. In short order they were back. One of the reasons to call a professional for issues like this rather than trying to fix it yourself is that there are all kinds of surprises you can encounter mid-repair. Especially when a lot of the piping is behind a wall. Pat's rather ingenious solution to an unusual problem was to install the valve backwards since it wouldn't work the other way around. It was either that or ripping the wall open and spending many times the price of a repair for a new fixture system and repairing the wall. So yes, now my faucet is backwards. Hot is cold. Cold is hot. On is off. But because of Pat's creativity, he saved me probably $2000 on a much more extensive replacement/repair. I'm thrilled to only have to re-learn how the faucet works. It could have been much worse. I wouldn't hesitate to call Pat again, the next time I need a plumber. read more

My grandfather has had his home for about 30 years and about 15 years ago he was reffered to Drain-EEZ plumbing and they have been his plumbers ever since. I recently moved into a forclosed home and I needed a new sump pump. I asked my grandfather for Drain-EEZ's number but I went onto Yelp to see what others had to say. After reading some reviews and hearing some good feedback from my grandfather I decided to give them a call. I called on a Sunday morning and was expecting to get an answering machine but to my suprise a lady answered my call and within a couple of minutes Pat gave me a call back. My next assumption was he would schedule me for sometime during the work week but Pat scheduled me for that afternoon! He arrived at my house within an hour or so, calling me to inform me when he was on his way and when he was 10 minutes away. While we discussed the issue he informed me that I also needed to get the drain rodded and showed me the problem to assure me that he was not trying to rip me off. I felt comfortable to have such an experienced plumber that was dedicated to service and quality. It took pat about 2 hours to complete the job, considering that he did have to rod the drain line. He also gave me a $30 discount! All in all, I was highly pleased with his work. He was fast, courteous, and made sure that I was aware of what he was doing and how he was going to do it. I came home from the movies and found some water on one side of my basement. It turns out my sump pump stopped working. I called several plumbers, but decided to go with Drain-EEZ plumbing because their rates were reasonable. Pat showed up to my house exactly when he said he would, and explained to me what the problem was and how he was going to fix it. It turned out that there was a lot of water accumulating under my house, and had he not come out to fix it right away, my entire basement would have been completely under water and caused a lot of damage. Once Pat explained the problem with the sump pump, he proceeded to install the new one. He then stayed here until all the water was gone to make sure everything was working properly. It's said that when you find a good thing, stick with it. Given my previous positive experience with Pat when it came time to redo the plumbing in a condo I am gutting I phoned up Drain-EEZ. Pat arrived on Monday evening to examine the work and provide me a quote-all standard operating procedure... Wednesday he came to do the work. As mentioned we were gutting the condo and reorienting the bathroom. The original 1920's plumbing along with several previous renovations worth of crummy hack-jobs stood in the way. We discussed the best approach and settled on one that would be satisfactory from Pat's perspective and attempt to keep the cost within reason. The job was a pain. There was little room to navigate, all the pipes were corroded or otherwise problematic and the old hack-jobs needed to be undone and corrected. When I arrived home on Wednesday evening Pat was wrapping up- a surprise as he had mentioned it would likely take 2 days. He showed me all the new work- top notch as always and let me know that the price was going to be, wait for it... wait for it... about 1/3 less than he had quoted me. Less than two months after buying our house, our kitchen sink had slowed to barely usable. Even the smallest amount of dishes would create a back up that would take a while to drain. We tried everything we could think of but nothing seemed to make even the slightest improvement. We called Drain-Eez and were quickly able to get an appointment that matched our work schedule. Lou called us when he was in route to our house and arrived well within the targeted appointment time. He quickly diagnosed the problem, 100% blockage of the pipe leading to our grease trap (we didn't even realize we had one!). Lou worked diligently to clean the clog; he had to make several passes from different sides of the pipe to restore water flow. In addition to getting our kitchen sink up and running again, Lou also noticed some piping issues that our inspector did not notice and explained how some fixes will improve our house -- if only we knew Lou before we bought our house! Lou, Caitlyn and the rest of the crew were so impressive that they are my motivation to write my first review...Long story short, I am a landlord that was caught in a major plumbing jam at the worst possible time. I had a drain disaster that affected two units, both of which were scheduled to have new tenants move in within 48 hours. Lou came out on a Friday afternoon, assessed the scope of the job (original plumbing was apparently done by an evil genius who's goal was to screw generations of future homeowners). He recognized the bind I was in and they adjusted their schedule to help get the job done in time for the new tenants. And this was no small job, but Lou was more than up to the challenge. He is an extremely hard worker and has the skill and pride of good craftsmanship as well. The kind of guy you want on your team. Plumbing is one of those things that can easily be out of sight, out of mind, but a poor plumbing job can and eventually will come back to haunt you many times over. I called Drain Eez because my bathroom ceiling was leaking. Have to say Lou has definitely earned the positive reviews he's received. He called to let me know he was delayed so that was brownie points right off the bat. Courtesy and professionalism make good PR. When he arrived, he explained the source of the ceiling leak was from a toilet in the attic bathroom and why he thought so. It turns out he was right which was a relief because I initially pictured having to rip out my entire bathroom ceiling. He had to make numerous trips from my third floor attic to his truck on a cold rainy miserable day but was always pleasant. The job turned out to be more time consuming and requiring more replacement parts than anticipated. In addition to fixing the leak, he repaired and reconnected the sink in the attic. I was a little worried about the cost but thought the charge was very reasonable for the 2 hours he was here. So glad I took a chance and called Drain Eez. read more

Pat came out a couple weeks ago for two jobs: one at our home and one at our condo we rent. The difference between plumbers is responsiveness, cost, and quality of work. I've used a couple other plumbers on here like the Plumbing Doctor and was very impressed with Drain-EEZ in all three areas. He fixed a clogged sink in both locations. Not only was he very responsive, coming out the next day ASAP, and as noted by other reviewers I called on Sunday and his wife picked up to schedule the Monday call. Also his cost was very reasonable with no fee to come out. As far as quality of work, he fixed our issue pretty quickly and cleaned up great. He also gave some helpful insight on how to prevent future clogs and was happy to discuss some other questions I had about galvanized piping in our home. After trying to fix the leak coming from our master shower for two days. I finally gave in and called a plumber. After trying two companies and getting no answer, I called Drain-eez. A nice young lady took my information and said that a plumber would return my call shortly. Twenty minutes later, the plumber called me and said he could be here in about thirty minutes. Sure enough about thirty minutes later a guy from Drain-eez showed up, fix the leak that I had been working on for two days, in about a half hour. They even increased the water pressure in my shower!(It's nice to take a shower with full force water instead of a dribble). Finally no more dripping sounds lurking from my master bath at midnight. I called Drain-EEZ on a Sunday afternoon hoping that someone would come by for a quick plumbing job on a toilet line. When I said that the job couldn't wait until the morning, Pat rearranged some of his schedule to come out and do the work. The job turned out to be much more of a pain and an issue that I originally thought, but Pat stayed into the evening to finish the job and even spoke to my landlord on the phone to recommend a long-term fix for a disjointed pipe. Pat is professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. He was upfront about the cost and didn't try to take advantage of me as some might when there is so much information asymmetry. I needed immediate assistance on our rental unit water heater and after trying to contact a referal with no response, I called Drain-EEZ just from a google search. They were able to meet me within a few hours and Pat quickly assessed the situation and made his recommendation. Unfortunately for me, it was that the water heater needed to be replaced but Pat showed me exactly why I needed a new one. He had a new one in there working within a few hours and definitely at a good price. As noted in the other reviews, he gave me tips on how to do maintenance myself to help keep repair costs down.
