I was searching Google for a church service near me that has good music with traditional hymns. I found this church has a choir with good reviews. So I attended the 10:00 service on Sunday. I felt welcome, the pastor was an excellent speaker young and fun, the music was full of worship with people's hands in the air, there was a choir without the traditional robes, the words to the music were on the screen above, QR codes were on the back of each bench for viewers to follow (I did not check it), there were no physical Bibles or hymn books stacked in the rows, the church was full of praising worship singing along with the music directors and a full band orchestra. A professional cameraman was recording. It's January so there's a lot of coughing and sniffling around me. That was the day offering was passed around in a dish for people to pick from (instead of the pastor handing it out), but that's no big deal I took from the edge and not from the middle where everyone was digging their fingers in. What I didn't really care for was the words for the music were not consistently posted on the screen so I couldn't sing along to the music. I didn't like how the pastor directed everyone to put their hands up every time for prayer or worship as that should be optional and not directed to "put your hands up like this." The church was beautiful and the grounds were well kept but I did not see any traditional stained glass windows and only a couple large crosses that were not real noticeable on the sides and not at the focal point. read more

Starts Sundays 9am & 11am with daycare both services. Teen Grove looks like they have a blast. Everyone is very welcoming & kind. Each Sunday I walk away feeling uplifted and encouraged to start my week thanks to Pastor Bobby Schuller. I also strive to have the compassion and faith Hannah does as she really truly cares for so many. Ask Pastor Bruce about "Rooted" thats where i started it helped as opening the bible can be daunting but I get it now. Hope to see you there ! read more

Like the church overall, but as a new member I have tried to reach out several times to them for more information to get involved, via email and phone with no response on their end. For me it is understandable why they have consolidated their two services into one last month. They do not welcome the new people interested in their church. I'm very disappointed and am seeking a new church. read more

As a senior citizen, I have been to many different churches, some well known, throughout my life. I have never experienced such a warm, happy, welcoming and vibrant church during my years. They are the loveliest people and Hannah and Bobby are phenomenal. They really live the life and love they preach and are so approachable and make a point to integrate with the attendees. Every week inspiring messages are life-changing. For those who had an unfriendly experience I am truly sorry and it is not the climate of this church. I would ask you to give it another try and be open and friendly first and I know they would respond even though normally the members themselves initiate a welcome and inclusive environment. There are no strangers here and it's a great mix of ages for anyone to feel comfortable. It is the happiest church I have ever attended and I am so grateful and blessed to attend every week and hear the inspiring - life changing and amazing messages. Their glorious choir and orchestra are breathtaking and complement the service. I appreciate that there's no hype or entertainment to try and pump up the audience, but just the pure simple word of God which is more powerful than any artificial element of "entertainment", pretention or fakeness. I think maybe, instead of asking for money for the church, maybe they could've asked their churchgoers to donate to the Ukrainian relief fund instead this past Sunday. There was once a K-12 school on campus that my daughter attended. The staff was great and the kids were happy. The church closed down the school. This is a (1) star review is because the church closed down a school to be on TV. This is important and relevant because some people might not want to go to a church that closes its doors to children so that they can be in TV. Due to the closing of the school, which was called Shepherd's Grove, I had a negative experience. read more

This church preaches the bible and it has fundamentally changed my life. It taught me that we are not saved by "our works" in a new way and that finally took root in my life. You are not what you do, you are not what you have, you are not what people say about you. You are a beloved child of God and only out of that truth and overwhelming unconditional love do you find yourself truly obeying Christ not because you should, but because you are overwhelmed with gratitude. Bobby Schuller went to fuller seminary and I'm very thankful for the theology and truth that comes from that study and I'm also thankful for the practical and fun sermons that make it easy to listen to. My wife and I have been watching Pastor Bobby on TV every week during the Hour of Power for a while. We live in Los Angeles and we recently (finally) visited for the 11:15a service on Sunday morning. The church is beautiful and it was such an honor to meet Bobby and his wife, Hannah. We always felt that they would be really cool people to meet, and we were right! We have enrolled our daughter in their kindergarten program. My husband and I are elated with her progress. The teacher-student ratio is spectacular. 1 teacher to 12 students? Amazing! Not including the teacher's aid who helps on a daily basis. Their small class sizes allows for better learning curve and closer attention to detail. I even have the blessing of being a room mom every Friday! The kindergarten classroom is taught by an inspiring, amazing teacher, Mrs. Vandercook. She is patient, kind, generous, and uses modern technology to teach my daughter and the rest of her class a curriculum that is being taught in public schools throughout California. Shepherd's Grove School's tuition justifies the education our daughter receives as well. They offer morning and after school daycare, music lessons, choir, dance lessons, science club, and sports as well. Overall, this is a well-rounded private school. read more

it can't get any better we watched Bobby since he was about 15 yrs old and knew he had what takes to be great, we went to crystal cathedral to see the church, stayed for a service and we were hooked heard his grandfather sermon and came back every Sunday since than and have been going to service every Sunday.
