I went to Catherine when my original hair person was injured and I needed to see someone before my Birthday. My hair lets say was "in between" stages and needed help.My friend recommended Catherine and I am so glad she did. My first experience at the salon was wonderful. Catherine saw right through my hair issues and balanced everything out. She is extremely knowledgeable of doing color that works with whatever your skin tone is and without batting an eye knows exactly what works. Her cuts are trendy and fantastic and if you brought her a picture of the haircut you wanted she could do it with precision. She and her assistant Bella are both very personable and they work very well together. Catherine is 100% dedicated to her clients, their comfort and their experience. She runs her busy shop which she is dedicated to and is very involved in her family's life. She is sensitive and secure with herself. I have since switched to Catherine for good. Her prices are going rate for any good salon and I just see it like an investment into self and some good old fashioned self love which we all need. Sure, you can get a cheaper cut but you get what you pay for. She spends the time to get your hair right and knows what looks good. I trust her with my hair 100% and every time I leave there I know my money was well spent because I just invested in my self love and worth. Don't waste your money. Catherine may be nice and personable but she doesn't listen to what you want. She cut my hair embarrassingly short after I told her that I wanted it long enough to put in a pony tail, this is the second time I have gone to see her and before she had cut my hair shorter than I had wanted but it was still salvageable and ok. If she really has 30 years of experience you wouldn't expect her to mess up this bad. I hate the way my hair looks now and I want to help anyone else before she totally screws them over. I must diminish my original 5-star review to a 1-star due to the following: After being one of Catherine Peters early, loyal customers, setting her up with NextDoor connections and protocols, plus writing a 5-star review on Yelp, and making numerous personal referrals, I had a very disappointing haircut 3 months ago. I had attributed it to her usual, constant flitting about the salon, staying a minute or two with me, then rushing over to start a conversation with a new arrival, or her staff, another client, or something in the back room - all the middle of my haircut. Sometimes her inability to concentrate would result in a less than satisfactory haircut. When I requested a haircut recently (jokingly suggesting she not scalp me this time) I received a text saying she doesn't "feel like she can cut my hair" any longer. When asked why, she refused to answer. What a hurtful thing to say. And do. When business owners hide behind a text screen, and have no courage to communicate with (not at) the client, that should tell you something about the owner's integrity. So if you do take a chance on Catherine Peters doing your hair; beware that loyalty only appears to go one way in her world. read more

Love this woman! You get so much more from this salon than a haircut and color. Aromatic oil to relax you, then a neck massage and then conditioning oils for your hair, and then color and cut. Catherine is extremely knowledgeable about hair and color and product, and life, that you can relax and know that your hair cut and, for me, highlights are going to look amazing. I love Catherine. . .as a hair stylist and a person! On my first visit I knew I had struck gold! This woman is an expert! I am growing out my hair and nursing it back to health. Catherine always listens to how much I want cut off (it is a delicate balance between keeping it long and taking off the damaged ends). Over the past two years she has given me beautiful cuts and colors. AND I've witnessed incredible transformations in the seats next to me! Catherine is a nice person and that is why I stayed longer than I should have. Unfortunately, she is always busy and I would book a hair cut with her and she would see me for a few minutes and I would get passed on to an assistant. This happened so many times that I wondered why I even had loyalty. Also if they did over book (which was 90% of the time) I would get moved to different chairs to allow the next person to come in. After spending lots of money, too many hair cuts that I wasn't happy with and being moved around I had to move on. read more

This was by far the most incredible salon experiences that I have ever had. Catherine was so approachable and made me feel immediately comfortable. She really took the time to understand my hair and what I was looking for. During the visit I was treated to a relaxation treatment and a glass of wine- I felt like I was at home, so comfortable and cared for. After she completed her work I was left with chills. I felt like a new person and have never felt more beautiful. To complete this experience I had one of her amazingly kind staff add some makeup and had a mini photo session to capture her work. At the time, I was dealing with postpartum hair issues and a bad highlight job. Cath gave me a long bob and golden low lights to help restore life to my dry, washed out locks. I've seen her religiously ever since and leave with a huge smile every time. My recent visits included painted highlights (balayage) that are natural and sassy at the same time. Not only did Catherine give me my favorite color I have ever had but I was greeted with a welcome relaxation massage, a glass of wine while the color set and two people gave me a blow out to help speed things up with my thick hair.
