In my last two visits I tried the meat lovers, vodka grandma, supreme, and chicken bacon ranch. The quantity of food (loaded with toppings? is impressive and the vodka pizza was the best vodka pizza I've ever tried, no doubt about it. On top of the amazing flavor, texture, and quality of the pizza, the owner and other workers recognized us and treated us like family. Such an incredible place to relax and enjoy quickly served slices. Beyond friendly and humorous gentlemen working at this establishment who truly seem to love what they do. Although the restaurant is small, the flavor is big! The menu has a good variety of pizza, calzone, salads and even a few subs. The pizza with the cauliflower crust was interesting and so was the Sicilian, but we decided on the usual pepperoni. This was a great choice, the flavors were balanced and the crust is true New York style, both crusty and chewy. It's one of the best pizza crusts I've found in Naples, IMO New York crusts make the best pizza. Service was fast and the staff is great, it's obvious they make a lot of pizzas here and know their stuff. If you like New York style pizza, this is a place to check out.

I'm in town for business and got delivery from this place today, upon recommendation from a friend…read morewhose parents have a condo in the area. He said it's one of his top five pizzas. The pizzas are rather large, the options were delivery were 14 inches or 16 inches, so I ended up getting a few other things instead: -Pappardelle with pesto: 4.5/5 stars, delicious -Garlic bread with cheese: 3.5/5 stars, the real garlic was nice but the bread was a bit cold/room temp. Hazard of doing delivery, for sure, but my hotel was only 15 minutes away from the restaurant. -Garlic knots: 4/5, delish. Kind of odd that it was the same price as the garlic bread because the garlic bread was huge, definitely like two meals' worth, and for the knots you only get like six of them. I also received a HUGE vat of sauce, presumably for the breads, and it was delicious - kinda sweet, I'm not sure if it's the restaurant's pasta sauce, or pizza sauce, or both. I did not receive ANY silverware or napkins, which was kind of a problem - I can improvise on napkins (I did some Kleenex) but not on silverware. I looked back on DoorDash afterwards to see if that was an option, to request silverware, but I didn't see it, so next time I will have to specify, I guess. Overall, I would definitely order from here again since everything was delicious, but I might actually go to the restaurant next time versus relying on delivery. I don't have a car this trip though so I would have to Uber there and back.

We got the pane al forno mozzarella as an appetizer and it was a little underwhelming to be truthful. It reminded us of a bagel bite but with less flavor somehow. I think if they added a little more garlic/seasoning to this appetizer it'd be a hit! The portions were large which is great. However, I got the porcini sacchetti truffle cream and was honestly disappointed. There was almost no truffle flavor, the sauce barely creamy, and the prosciutto in it seemed almost rubbery. My friend got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and it tasted slightly of seafood. Overall we were slightly disappointed with the dinner but still had a great time with the staff.

The veal was paper-thin, incredibly tender, and still on the bone. It wasn't overly breaded at all, and it came with a side of pasta that made the portion even more impressive. The amount of cheese on top was perfect--just enough to enhance the dish without overpowering the veal itself. Beyond the food, the restaurant feels genuinely Italian--like being transported straight back to Florence. It's small, intimate, and cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating options that make the experience even more special. Service here has and never will be a disappointment, you always feel like family! On a previous visit, I tried the lobster mac and cheese, and it was equally delightful and incredibly flavorful. I almost hesitate to recommend it because I don't want booking to get harder, but if you're ever visiting Naples, this is an absolute must-go. An unforgettable experience all around.

Unfortunately, that's about where the compliments end. We started with drinks. If you've ever been to college and remember what a cheap, watered-down beer tasted like, that's exactly what my beer reminded me of. My regular Coke was also completely flat, which wasn't exactly a great start to the evening. For an appetizer, we ordered the broccolini and sausage with garlic bread. It was incredibly bland--no salt, very little seasoning, and almost no flavor. We followed that with a Caesar salad, and I'll give credit where it's due: the Caesar was actually pretty good. Easily one of the better parts of the meal. Then came dinner. I ordered the pistachio and sausage pasta, which sounded fantastic on the menu. What arrived was honestly hard to understand. I received about seven noodles that were severely undercooked, sitting in what felt like an entire swimming pool of pesto. There was so much pesto that I'm fairly certain every available basil plant in Collier County was sacrificed for my plate. Somewhere underneath it all was a small dollop of pistachio. The frustrating part is that I can actually see this being a delicious dish if the pasta were cooked properly and the ingredients were balanced. Unfortunately, what I received wasn't close. My wife ordered the beet salad, which arrived essentially "salad-less." She was disappointed as well. We spent approximately $140 for dinner, and at that price point, expectations are understandably higher. Beautiful décor and friendly service can only carry an experience so far when the food and beverages miss this badly. I genuinely wanted to like Casa Cotzelli, especially because the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and the menu sounds promising. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we will not be returning.
