The entire team has always been professional, friendly, and genuinely caring. I see Dr. Shin, and she's absolutely wonderful. She has such a calm and kind bedside manner, really takes the time to explain everything, and makes sure I never feel rushed. You can tell she truly cares about her patients' comfort and eye health. I went here (6/19/2026) for my eye exam and to get new glasses after finding this practice through my insurance. I had a good experience having an eye exam and picking out my glasses. I was told that my glasses would be ready in two weeks or sooner. After two weeks passed I called (7/7/2026) to check on my glasses. I was put on hold for an extended amount of time as they looked for my glasses in the shipment they just received and then told that the glasses should be ready next week (7/15/2026). I expressed concern that I was told they would be ready in two weeks, as I immediately suspected something was wrong. The person who spoke to let me know that glasses take 3 weeks and even if it was 2 weeks they were still within a 2-week timeframe because they "don't count weekends." This was an odd way to address my concern, but this must be how the practice operates. This may be something for new patients to consider. Once I get my glasses, I won't return to this practice as waiting almost a month for my glasses doesn't work for me. I would rather go somewhere else. read more

I have been coming to Catonsville Eye Group for over four years...they were the ones who recommended LASIK to me and it changed my life!!! Dr.Bondroff is my doctor and he is great. He always makes sure I have samples for new things like eye drops and things to makeup life better. Additionally he always answers my many ridiculous questions and he does it with professionalism and good nature. I recently switched jobs and insurance providers and they were able to work with me so I didn't have to change providers... Went there for MVA licence renewal as well as full eye exam. Staff was friendly. Doctor Feldmann was friendly and helpful. Gave me a complete exam and filled out MVA paper work. Answered some health questions I had. They dont push you to buy glasses. I purchased some readers anyway since they would only cost $5 (plan covered the rest). I've been going to Catonsville Eye Group for years now. I never have a problem getting an appointment. They always handle my vision insurance coverage with a minimum of fuss. They turn around custom frame/lens orders in around a week. They've never been a hassle when requesting contact lens prescriptions for mail-order. I also like that they've refreshed their optometric systems to be highly computerized. The phoropters (the big lens thing you look through) are completely automated - the optometrist changes lens settings from a PC, and the system records all of the information and updates your prescription records automatically. No possibility of them writing down the wrong prescription! All of their ordering and appointment systems work well together, too. For a private practice, they have their office automation squared away completely. They will send email and/or text reminders for appointments, as well as when your glasses or contacts come in. I don't believe I've ever had a scheduling or paperwork snafu, which is saying something when dealing with any medical/health practice. After making my appointment (through my insurance website), I receive 3 emails asking for my insurance information or I would be charged $130 for my visit. After I provided my information, the staff still was no help. Why did they request this information in the first place if I was still told, "If you have a Cigna vision plan then we are participating but if you have a direct vision plan through Cigna Vision, then we are not providers" huh? Do you even want my business? I guess not. I am sure the doctors are amazing but the staff... not so much. read more

I bought two pairs of glasses, a distance pair and a reading/computer pair, from these folks and, despite the fact that this is basically a glasses mill, I would have given them a good review. The service was good and relatively timely, the doctor was friendly and professional, and the glasses arrived in 2 business days. Unfortunately, the prescription for the reading glasses was off. Only upon returning to have the prescription corrected did the doctor break out the tools required to make sure the prescription was correct before sending it off to the lab. If he had done so the first time, I would have avoided wasting my time on a second trip and the aggravation of having to go through the entire process twice. read more

Secind visit here. Unprofessional and frustrating experience. Disappointing will not return. Woman at the front desk was rude. They required me to take out my contacts in the waiting room even though I told them I was uncomfortable doing that since I'm very nearsighted and can't see well at all without them (I've worn glasses for 25 years and contacts for 14 and have NEVER been asked to remove my contacts before getting in to the exam room before). He taught me how to put contact lenses in properly. He is a very personable man. There was one time when he wasn't available due to being on vacation and I was disappointed, but only because I play favorites. I feel cared for and never rushed. I always have my appointment early Saturday morning too. They always take their time and help you with the glasses selection process. My order comes in very prompt. I went to Catonsville Eye Group a few years ago, then I went to places like Visionworks, America's Best etc. Two years ago, I went back to Catonsville because I wanted a through eye exam by a skillful Dr. I was referred by my mom to Dr. David Feldman, and since then I've never looked back to going to other eyeglass chains. The office staff is polite. No matter how busy, someone from the desk will say hello. Being a health care worker, it's important to feel like you belong in the establishment instead of feeling like "oh here comes more work". Today, Saturday, which is usually a busy day was no different. I was greeted by the staff. Even though it was busy...and they were having a sale, my wait time was minimal. I was seen by Dr. Feldman. He is a very personable man. Each visit he has a warm smile, and you can tell he loves his work. I like the fact that he combs through my previous history to make sure proper adjustments are made for my present sight. At the end of my visit, a letter is automatically sent to my primary care. From there, the staff sat me down to help with my frame choice, and because there was a sale going on, this staff worker pulled out her calculator and was able to give me several choices that I could work with. I wish I had her name because she was awesome. She saved me over $200. I would like to say a special thanks to Lauren. I made my appointment through the app Everseat. I had a few problems and Lauren stepped in to make sure my interaction with the app went smooth......and it did. In this world not all experiences go well as each day is different and circumstances happen, but my experience with this Eye Group has always been a good one, and I will continue to be a customer due to the high quality exams that I receive, and the attentive staff. Fantastic service. Everyone is super super friendly. I felt like more than a "get em in and get em out" patient which I have experienced in other locations. The doctor was very personable and explained the whys and wherefores of what was going on with my vision. There was even some initial confusion with my insurance provider and the office ladies spent some time with me trying to clear it up instead of just assuming they did not take my insurance and send me on my way.
