Their selection of frames is awesome. They have everything ranging from conservative to funky and edgy. The service is top shelf especially with Amanda Hellman. She is by far the best Optician I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I took my girlfriend there and Amanda was terrific. Patient and engaged. Everywhere my girlfriend goes she gets compliments on her eyewear. Her prescription normally make her lenses look thick but not with Shear Opticians. Both were from Forever 21 and likely cost $10 total. One needed both lenses reattached and one needed nose guard replacements. The person working at Frame Mender checked out the glasses and said the repairs would be easy. Then he quoted me $45 for the pair that needed the lenses reattached and $20 for the pair that needed nose guards. What I was NOT going to do was pay 5x what the glasses are worth to have them repaired. However, if I have issues with any of my prescription glasses or expensive sunglasses, I WOULD return here for the fix(es). The Frame Mender employee was very professional and the space itself, while nondescript, was clean, plus it's conveniently located near my house (and across the street from Samos, so all win!).

He also assisted in evaluating my two youngest children. Both of them have a rare genetic disorder that is causing them to lose their vision. He was kind and gentle with them. He was also very caring and his delivery with me and my wife. After seeing several specialists after him we sought his help in getting some specialized low vision equipment for my kids.
