Resolved problem with initial eyeglasses delivered. Remake worked out fine. Very short appointment for remake. By having a remake necessary disqualified this business to get 5-stars. Other: Though the furnishings look beautiful here, they forgot functionality. If you sit in one of those super heavy wide chairs to try on eyeglass frames and try to move the chair anywhere you prefer, you gotta be Hercules. The metal frame makes a sound on the floor and the chair is not very comfortable. read more

I came to this office for the first time in late August because I learned Dr. Vocci had joined their team. I have been seen by Dr. Vocci for well over a decade, possibly 15 years for near sightedness and a very rare eye condition. She is an absolutely phenomenal and talented Optometrist who has one of the loveliest bedside manners I've ever encountered, making an otherwise dreaded appointment for me much more bearable. She knows her stuff, has great ways of explaining things, and is incredibly patient. She even gave me an unexpected phone call outside of business hours to ease my fears about a surgery recommended by a retina specialist. I simply adore here and can't say enough great things. This office seems to have great staff who are friendly and do their best to make each patient feel valued and taken care of. read more

Had my first appointment with Dr. Granek today and the reviews just don't do this practice justice. From the time you walk in, you're greeted by one of his amazing staff members who are all so kind and welcoming. After you get check-in, I was taken back immediately for the preliminary scans before seeing Dr. Granek it went by super quick. Next, I was taken into the exam room and waited no time for Dr. Granek to arrive. He is sooooooo down to earth, kind, loving, and takes his time with you. If you're looking for a new ophthalmologist look no further. Oh, and his tennis shoe collection is my favorite. He's a Nike fan just like me. read more

I came here after many years of going to another practice. First, I would like to say that I was able to get an appointment quickly. I was emailed the new patient information easily and the staff was friendly. Dr. Granek was very nice and knowledgeable. However, when I arrived for my appointment, I told the front office staff I had VSP and a health insurance card. The lady who must have been the manager took my health insurance card and I gave my VSP information to the front secretary. When I went to leave the office, I had a payment of $222. I was confused because I have never paid that much for a routine eye exam before. So, I made a few phone calls and found that the office charged my Davis (medical insurance) instead of VSP. I then requested the Explanation of benefits, and Davis paid for nothing. So I called VSP back who said I needed to give them more information from Visionary eye care. I then called Visionary eye care and they gave me the run around. They told me that once an insurance is charged another cannot be sent a bill. Ok....So then my husband called and explained that our secondary eye insurance, Davis was charged and not our primary of VSP. The manager said she ran the numbers and Davis would be cheaper for us. That was interesting, since Davis paid for nothing.... So clearly you were trying to get more money out of pocket from me, the patient, then actually charging the correct insurance. My husband had to call the office each time even though they were supposed to call us (I think they were hoping we would forget or let it go). We got a refund. But be cautious of their money handling at this facility. You might be paying for things you shouldn't be. Also $175 for a contact fitting fee? Really. Most other office are like $80. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Wow - I was blown away by the level of care I received today. Customer service was PHENOMENAL. Emma and Lorraine went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during my visit. Dr Granek listened to me! It's been my experience these past few years that most health care providers just want to get you in and out - sort of like a factory feeling. Not Dr. Granek. Today was my first appointment and first visit to this office. I saw great reviews online and I made the decision to choose this eye care office over other close options. I was not disappointed. Firstly, the office staff will send you a text reminder for your appointment date and time which I love because I'm not too great at writing down in my planner my appointments. Next the day or two before your appointment I received another text with the link to complete my office paperwork so that's good and I had a text telling me to wait in my truck and text the office when I arrive and they would let me know when to come up. With COVID, things are very different but I like that this office is taking precautions. So I get up stairs and before you can get to the office door, there was a table set up with a eye care worker waiting there to greet you and check your temperature. So your temperature is checked and now the office door is opened and I was walked to the front desk which has a large area with plexi safe glass up between you and the receptionists. Fast forward, I was waiting a bit long but I know with COVID things are being sanitized and patients are having to get distanced more than ever. However, I was fine with waiting. Brian (the optometrist) came out and introduced himself and apologized for the delay. That was kind right! My turn came and the exam was as normal and he made the appointment simple and went through all of my concerns and questions. So finally I make it to the chance to pick out my glasses. I met Janae. I think I spelled it right. Well all of the staff was pleasant, open and kind and Janae was so kind. She took her time with me, let me get her opinion on the glasses I tried on and even gave me a second opinion from another staff member. The variety isn't as big as other places I've been but when I say the selections I saw were awesome, like really. I decided to buy two glasses. I picked a Burberry and a Jimmy Choo. I really wanted these Prada glasses but I'll get them next year. I'll be so happy when my glasses come in! I think I've found my eye glass office home of choice. This place lived up to the reviews. So I am sharing the experience of my husband, the pickiest of picky when it comes to seeing any medical professional. We were with a large, well known eye card practice for several years and my husband was extremely unhappy with their service. I did a quick google search and also called my insurance company to see who was in-network in the area. Visionary Eye Care received great google reviews and he accepted our insurance. Once my husband finally made the switch to Visionary Eye Care, I have not heard one bad thing about his visits. Dr Granek is really cool and engages you in conversation and makes you feel warm and welcomed when you come. I enjoy coming here first because it is close and second because they are friendly. On top of it the front desk help are patient and helpful as well. Mika (sp) is helpful and gave me advice about a rebate that I am going to receive. Never thought I'd gush about an optometrist but here I am. In general, I'm not a fan of going to doctors - scheduling appointments, filling out forms, sitting in waiting rooms just seems awful - but Dr. Granek and his staff live up to all the Yelp hype. Everything was clearly communicated from appointment reminders to Covid protocols to the slight delay, and everyone was extremely kind and friendly. I've put off going to the eye doctor because I'm overdue for the dreaded dilation, but they have a super hi-tech, non-invasive machine that replaces the need to dilate your eyes and it only takes a couple of seconds. Dr. Granek also fitted me for contacts immediately (like, he knew exactly what I needed and had an extra pair handy) which I was not expecting. Everything was painless and pleasant and I 'm actually looking forward to my next appointment! read more

I actually found Visionary through yelp and chose to do my exam with them because of the other 5 star reviews. My experience was no different. Dr. Granek is kind, patient, smart and obviously love what he does. When going to someone as a service provider, that's key for me. Aside from all of the cool technology (which was REALLY fun to use and learn about) most importantly, I left being able to see better. I can see 20/15 with both my new glasses Rx AND my new contacts, something I've never been able to do before. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who personally knows Dr. Granek . I am blessed to have had the connection and feel I finally found a Dr. who is ready to take action vs collect a pay check. I have issues with Blepharitis and a slight stigmatism . I visited numerous eye doctors and none of them had the state of the art equipment or expertise Dr. Granek provides.
