She has frequently sent me adorable texts and the occasional email detailing my two pup's exploits during the day. My dogs are my children, so the messages make my day. When I return home from work, my dogs are not running circles in the expectation that I will take them on a long walk - and thank goodness because I am usually exhausted. So for $100 I was able to have four pet sitting visits. It's the perfect amount of time to see if it's a good fit for you and your animal. Labor Day weekend was approaching and I knew I had to schedule sooner rather than later. I sent a quick email request and met the ladies a couple days later. Upon meeting, I was incredibly impressed with Lauren and Renee! They loved Finley and Fin seemed to really like them too! :-) I walked them through my house, pointing out any areas where Fin gets into mischief, did a quick summary on feeding and litter box maintenance and signed the City Tails wavers. I felt completely at easy while I was away. I came home to a happy kitty and a nice note from Lauren and Renee. In looking at Ruff Ruff's website I was initially pleased to discover they are Diamond Certified. I signed up for the Group Hike service for my dog to be done once a week while I was at work. I was told my dog would be picked up at my house around mid-day and would be returned after at least a full hour of hiking. At first Bettina was the one who did the hikes and I would always get notes placed on my kitchen counter as to where my dog went for the day and how much he had fun. For some reason, Bettina no longer picked up my dog and it was Joey (I believe that's his name) started to do my route. A friend of mine was over at my house and called me at 5:30pm to say that my dog was just picked up. I was completely surprised as this was not the mid-day pick up I was told of. Additionally, since it was winter 5:30 was too dark to go on any hikes! I immediately rushed home to try and meet the dog walker on his return to my house but by the time I got home (within 30 minutes) my dog was already there. Again I was upset that my dog was not even exercised for one hour. My dog did not even look tired. And to add to that, the walker left me a note and said my dog had a great time. So now I wonder how long this had been going on; my paying for this service and all they did was come over and leave me notes saying my dog had a great time. Needless to say I cancelled services immediately. Being Diamond Certified doesn't necessarily mean a great company will provide great service.

She was always extremely reliable and took excellent care of our cats - not just feeding them and cleaning their litter boxes, but playing with them, brushing them, petting them. They were probably disappointed when we came home! Perhaps best of all were the reports she would leave for us at the end of our trip. She would give a detailed write-up of each day's visits with the cats - how they were acting, how they were eating, the time she spent with them, etc. We could see how well she had taken care of our pets. In the interest of full disclosure, Carisa is also a good friend of ours, but we hired Petite Petsitter just as any other client would, not just because she's a friend. Now that we've moved to Colorado, we miss Petite Petsitter more than ever - a good petsitter is hard to find! If you need outstanding care for your pets while you're out of town, call Carisa - you'll be happy you did (and so will your pets!).
