Our favorite place was on the balcony and the ocean view! The cleanliness of the condo is a different story and not up to par for what we expected. I don't think the furniture in the main living area has ever been deep cleaned and it smelled that way. One of our group slept on one of the bottom bunk beds and got what we thought was melted butterscotch candy on her clothes. Disgusting. It took a minute to get that out of her clothes! If we ever stay in Sea Castle again, we will seek a different condo.

Unfortunately, over the past few years, we've noticed a significant decline. Cleanliness has become a recurring issue. We've had to call housekeeping back multiple times because the initial cleaning was not done well. This past year, there was hair on the toilet paper holder, visible dust in several areas, and the indoor glass tables looked like they were wiped with harsh cleaners, leaving them streaky and cloudy. In the past, if something wasn't right, we could call and it would be taken care of quickly and professionally. This year felt very different. The hot tub was broken, and instead of a straightforward apology or resolution, the issue seemed to be brushed off. We also had random sheets placed in our elevator that we didn't request, which added to the confusion. What was most disappointing was that when my mom left a review on their site, parts of it were altered and the negative feedback was removed--even though she still gave a generous 4-star rating. As long-time renters, it's frustrating to see the quality and customer service go downhill like this. We've made many great memories over the years, but we hope to see improvements moving forward.

And the trashcan outside is overflowing with garbage and looks like it hasn't been emptied in quite some time. Also the wifi is horrible, it's slow and goes in and out constantly. We had to get rid of ton of clothes and had to buy encapsulating covers for each bed sets and do not know how many times had to do the laundry. Santee Cooper was TOLD by this company that they were the management company for the entire complex, and they allowed all 8 units in one building to be shut down. Because they would not have gotten confirmation fast enough to make the appointment with Santee, she didn't care about the other 7 units not being notified or having ANY electric on the coldest day of the year so far. (Under 30 and frost everywhere, u turn off power to people with animals and kids?) And you didn't even have any permission from Waccamaw to do this!!!! Do better. Take accountability say you are sorry and do not repeat the horrible behavior you did. I contacted both Waccamaw and Santee Cooper. They are making sure that your company can never do this again to another person. The only problem I ran into was trying to find the site itself. There are two roads named Pirateland Blvd and I drove on the wrong one about 6 times before asking for help. Since they've sold over half of the property, the laundromat is now owned and run by Carolina Shores as is the lazy river and pool. They do rent golf carts, but those are very expensive at around $75 / day. I would stay here again as I really enjoyed the beach.

We get here late last night to a very muddy nasty site. Stayed overnight and requested a new site…read morethis morning and we were moved. Today is our first day and we have been harassed all day by Greg the head of security over our kids bikes. What family campground does not allow kids to ride bikes with their parents. We were riding maybe 5 miles per hour with our kids being respectful and was told they can't have there bikes. Other kids riding with no problem. We were told my oldest has an electric motorcycle that is not allowed. Everywhere I have been it is considered an electric bike. We parked his then shortly later we were told my 2 younger kids can't ride because they have handlebars below 36". Small kids bikes all have lower handlebars. The manager threatened to take our bikes if we continue to ride them. This place is on a power trip and not family friendly. Greg made rounds all day stopping at our site several times looking for the kids bikes. We are here to enjoy family time not be harassed by a power hungry security guard. This will be our one and only trip here.
