I was drawn to Northern Medical Center because of its dual approach to health and thought there would be a good chance of being understood and treated without judgment. I was very nervous, but it didn't take long for me to feel comfortable. I was treated compassionately by the medical assistants as well as PA Rose Chasin. She was thorough in her approach and spent a lot of time getting to know me and my history - as did the assistant responsible for the initial intake. It feels good to say I have a primary care provider after all these years. We will see what the blood work reveals and then discuss a plan of action, with Northern Medical's onsite physical therapy, acupuncture and hyperbaric therapy as potential options. How My Mother Survived the Hospital from Hell…read more My mother endured a nightmare at the hospital. She was screaming for help from room number four, desperate for a glass of water due to severe dehydration. Nurses did not respond, and doctors did not respond, but after increasing her cries to a horrifying level, a police officer finally came to her aid. Eventually, a doctor walked in with a glass of water. She waited for several hours for an initial doctor's review, enduring the excruciating pain of a double fracture in her right shoulder. The doctor eventually provided some pain relief medication. When I stepped out of the room to get an update on my mother's prognosis, the doctor who had initially assisted us was nowhere to be found. After 30 minutes of searching and trying to find answers, we were informed that the doctor had left and would not see us because he was unfamiliar with the patient. The nurse directed us to the supervisor, who refused to bring in another doctor to help with my mother's ongoing pain. The lack of professionalism and compassion was hard to believe. While making another round to find help, a security guard started holding me like a prisoner. This lack of compassion made the entire experience feel like a prison show on television. This wasn't a hospital; it was an incarceration building, and that realization was chilling.

This place is the best and most advanced dental center. They specialize in implants. I wish I had known about them earlier. all the staff starting from the front desk to the dental assistants are all so wonderful and accommodating. You can tell they all get along well and are like a well oiled machine. I hated going to the dentist but their technique as well as equipment make the dental experience so much comfortable and calming. I like the mouthpiece they use during the procedure. its actually calming white noise and drowns out the drilling. it also doesnt dry out your mouth and doesnt feel like you are drowning on your own saliva. I also appreciate that they explain in detail the plan of care so everyones on the same page. I recommend them 100%!! I also was impressed for my very young daughter. every single time she went to the dentist to get a simple cleaning, she would cry and end up throwing up. it was awful but when i brought her to middletown dental associates, she was actually able to get a FULL cleaning done and said she loves the dentist. Maturity has provided a few medical challenges - I am in heart failure and require a wheelchair. I have a long list of other medical problems, too but I never feel like the extra care I require is a burden. Dr. Friedman and his kind-hearted staff of dental professionals literally put a smile on my face. I don't have any hesitation scheduling with them the cosmetic or reconstructive dental care that I need, and that you also deserve.
