My husband and I were visiting the area from North Carolina for a long-anticipated special event when we experienced car trouble. Cavalier was recommended to us by a retired local mechanic at the same event. This was on a Thursday evening. We called them first thing Friday morning, and were told to bring the car in. At about 9 a.m. we arrived and were told they would diagnose our car, and this happened within the hour, even though the waiting room had six or seven people in it. It's not as if they weren't busy already. After they found a rather serious problem, they said they would have to get the part, and it would take.....(holding breath)... about an hour. They gave us a very nice, clean loaner for the day. We returned at 4:30 and got our car before they closed for the weekend. Travis was our contact, and he could NOT have possibly been nicer, and was very professional and knowledgeable. They REALLY saved the day- AND our weekend- for a very reasonable price. I can't praise them highly enough. Oh- and the super big Jeep dealer in the Big City nearby where I had also left a voice mail the night before? We never heard back from them. read more

First time there was for an inspection- they forgot to put my radiator cap back on, I had to purchase a new one and thankfully it was noticed before my engine was damaged. Second time was for an oil change- I was charged $90 for $30 worth of oil for a total of $115 for an OIL CHANGE. I'm sure they ran the price up because they knew I was paying with a gift certificate they gave me for messing up my first visit. Our 2006 Toyota Avalon developed quite a steering wheel shake above 30 MPH recently, so we took it to Cavalier. Cavalier has been our 'go to' car service place for over 5 years. What they found was a 'separated tire tread' (cause of the shake) and two other tires with remaining tread marginal for the upcoming winter driving season as we often drive to Michigan where they have 'real winter & snow'. Also the dust/dirt boots of the steering system were torn/worn-out and needed replacing. Their tech had taken pictures, sent them by email, of the problems and concerns. When called on the phone, Mike explained the seriousness of the problems and our choices. We got the items repaired, tires replaced, the same day and now car drives geat again. The crew at Cavalier have always done wonderful work for us at a reasonable price and they guarantee their work. We trust their opinion and work done has been top notch.
