In the early mornings, you'll find the store full of landscapers stopping to fill up on gas and grabbing drinks and snacks on their way to work. The ladies at the big check out counter keep them smiling and moving as it's s a constant flow. Walk to the back, and you'll find the cozy cafe full of locals meeting and catching up with friends over a warm country breakfast. The wood floors and the vintage items hanging all around and above remind me of my aunt's house. It's such a comfy, warm vibe that I like to top off with biscuits and gravy with country fried steak. Over the 14 years of working in the area, I've stopped by many mornings to grab biscuits and gravy on the way to work. As you leave the cafe to pay at the back counter, you then pass the small US Postal Office that continues to run. The plaza outside also has plenty of tables and chairs with a neat old mission aesthetic surrounding you. Many spaces sit empty, but a few businesses do have storefronts. Make the stop whether for breakfast, gas or just to browse this cool area.

I found their staff to be helpful and ready to point me the right direction. I haven't been to a Walgreens in a while, and I was sent a reminder recently that my W Cash Rewards were going to expire if I didn't use some of them or make a purchase soon. As such, I've been to a few Walgreens in the last few weeks. When walking around today, I saw that the aisles were looking good and most items in stock. When I was checking out, there was no one ahead of my father and me, so it was an easy and quick transaction. One thing that made this a unique Walgreens visit was that this location hosts a Village Medical Primary Care office within the Walgreens store itself. While it was closed, it reminded me of the CVS Minute Clinics. Either way, it is a good use of the store though appears to be completely independent of Walgreens (whether or not this is the case). The W Cash Rewards program is a free program to sign up for and easy to use. You earn back 1% in Walgreens Cash rewards storewide, even at the pharmacy, and 5% in rewards on Walgreens branded products. There are also sales prices automatically unlocked and other savings coupons where you can earn reward dollars by making a purchase after selecting a given coupon. Sometimes the coupons are on a receipt from your most recent purchase. You can also find other coupons on the app or the website (or in a booklet or ad when you arrive at the store). While I do not frequent Walgreens as often as other drug stores, I often wonder why when I happen to visit a Walgreens store as it's so easy to shop there and my experiences are often very pleasant.

Gave these people one more shot. Took a week of trying to refill a simple prescription, and getting…read morenothing but excuses over the phone. I decided to transfer the order to a different Walgreens. It was filled same day. Lol

However, often times I've had to argue about scripts that were delayed. They had filled the wrong script and caused me hours of phone calls and undue stress with doctors and insurance companies. Then it turned out they had been filling an old script and ignored the current one. Luckily, my persistence got them to find it in their system. My main problem with this pharmacy is one particular staff member. She is so nasty that my daughter even asked me why she was such an evil Karen. I know this person doesn't have to be this way. I actually saw a human side of her once and had a very pleasant conversation. It was so rare, that it stood out and I came home and told my husband about it. I had hope that I had finally broken through and she would be nice going forward but last time I was there she treated me like I was being booked for a crime in jail. I understand this is a thankless job at times. Probably similar to the first job I had at a cleaners. Never ending demand, dealing with insurance companies, grumpy people, etc. but she makes going there a dreadful experience. If you go here, be ready to be treated badly if you encounter CVS Karen. Be nice to her, I think she is having a perpetual bad day.

Inside, of course, they had the clean restrooms and friendly service that their stores are known for. I use QT Pay to save a little at the pump as well as a discount at the counter. I saw the hot dogs and other things on their rollers. Near that area was a small robot vacuuming the floor. What a cute little bot! I must've had a look on my face wondering where to find tea. Staff asked if they could help. I told her I wanted some hot tea. She pointed to a machine and told me it would brew tea for me. Cool. I secured a foam cup and began the process. I chose hot beverage, then choose the type which was pineapple Papaya green tea. There were several choices. The machine asked how much lemon or if I wanted it. Then it brewed into my tea into the cup. It was super easy and quite the bargain! The tea was nice and hot just the way I like it. I am quite the tea drinker and have had my share of teas. The taste was excellent. I probably got about 2 cups of tea in a large foam cup. Good stop! They have their own parking lot.
