An outdoor fountain.

It bears mentioning first that the place is unassuming and if you enter through one side you're in a gas station, but through the other you're met with a large patio/ atrium shared by other businesses. The patio is beautiful and relaxing with a calm fountain and long-tended plants. The food is good and consistent - typical American. People don't seem to mind kids and dogs being around - especially on the patio. The atmosphere is very casual, as it's often families or golfers fresh off the course. The service is hit or miss, but depends on who you get and how stressed they are because they do get extremely busy. Bonus if you go at the holiday season because the ambiance is 110% Christmas. You mostly see the decor when you go in to the Western and old-timey restaurant space inside which seems like it hasn't changed since the day they opened their doors in 1977. There're also a post office, gift shop, and convenience store all connected, and a decent amount of parking around the complex. PS: My pics are a couple years old at this point.

Great classic neighborhood spot! Despite being a little dark, it is very clean. You can tell that a lot of neighbors are regulars there, and that says a lot. The portions are large and the prices are extremely reasonable!! If you're looking for a "not fancy" casual place to drop by and eat, I totally recommend it. It does get busy so sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes.

The ambiance of the place is charming- it reminds me of a interesting little thrift shop. Lots of odds & ends making for an eclectic atmosphere. The staff was helpful and prompt. The food was good- but, breakfast food isn't reinventing the wheel....here they lacking any punch in flavor or presentation. The meal was not very hot either. I think it has lots of potential- perhaps we just were there on an off day. I'm loving the area outside with all the nice views, I imagine when they have shops for a market there it's really lovely.

Restaurant locked inside the general store; rustic look and homey. Food; Got the Hot Cake Special, and it was delicious! The eggs cooked to order, and bacon nice and crisp. Service; Very friendly, and coffee always refilled. Can't wait to go back!

I started with a blueberry mule mocktail and it was perfection and then I had the small side salad made with carrots, cucumbers, and spring mix and lemon vinaigrette, and it was my favorite I've ever had and then I finished with the Bolognese that has a cream sauce that is to die for. Best Bolognese in town in my opinion. The staff was more than accommodating. I showed up in my work attire, definitely not dressed for this restaurant and from the hostess all the way to my server and bartender and everyone treated me with the upmost respect. They moved me to a better table, and for the inconvenience gave me another mocktail. This is absolutely my favorite absolutely 100% amazing. How anybody wouldn't like it with baffle me you have to go.

The bartenders are amazing however we are sad our normal peeps have left. Tonight Sean KILLED it with us and so glad he was still there since first meeting him on Halloween. Honestly the reason for 4 stars is the fact the drunken wifey is gone and the 3% credit card fee. We have been coming here for a little over 5 years and never had to pay that. Wild change and slightly bs. You already charge a lot for food and drinks (increases over the years are noticeable with management changes) but when you always have a rather large bill usually $700-sometimes over $1000 depending on the kind of evening we're having it is going to be very noticeable. A change like that needs to be more obvious, minus a little print at the bottom of the menu. No one even noticed (since we really didn't need the menu to order) nor did our server. It truly makes me want to give you a three star but I can't discredit the hard working staff and people in the kitchen, as it is clearly the change of new management and the "rebuild" from the beginning of the year. It speaks volumes to a group that has been dedicated to the Americano since March of 2020 and now makes us wonder if it's time to move onto a different restaurant.

This is a good nicer-casual restaurant to go with the family or have a date night. It's dimly lit inside and they have comfortable booths throughout. Was there tonight for 5:00 reservation. Middle of the summer. The four of us ordered cocktails, appetizers, dinners, desserts and after dinner wines. It's corporate food (think American PF Changs) Every item on the menu is prepared better somewhere else (please go to Hillstone for a real French Dip or ribs). Here's the rub - waiters constantly coming by to take away our half eaten appetizers, our half eaten salads, dinners and desserts. We pay. 30% tip. We're industry people. No kidding - at near 7:00, the young manager comes over (I'll call him Skippy) and tells us there is a (2) hour limit and urges us out of our booth. Again, we had a reservation at 5:00. We were in the middle of serious family talk and we were finishing our wines. Skippy comes over and unceremoniously asks us to leave after less than (2) hours there. Never again.

This place rocks. Truly so. We came over here to have a quick breakfast and stayed for almost an…read morehour. Fresh ingredients, tasty fuss and a menu all long as Manhattan. Entered the premises and were greeted by a very gregarious staff that made our stay here extra pleasant. The place is huge, with a large outside covered area. Booths are on the inside. The menu is gigantic with every conceivable breakfast selection. Having grown up in the NY Metro area, I went straight to the bagel cream cheese and lox which came open faced with the works and in a must appetizing presentation. Must be said that the Bialys in their name is from the historic recipe that the Ashkenazi people works cook their bagels in the city of Byalistock, Poland, before the Holocaust. The bagel isn't boiled and therefore has a much chewy consistency and is also delicious. One of the best breakfasts ever.

This was our first time at the Grayhawk location and honestly it's been many years since we ate at…read morethe central Scottsdale NYB&B. We're visiting from Tucson so we don't get to this area that much.First of all, Tiffany delivered awesome service! She was extremely welcoming and accommodating, got our coffees and menus quickly, checked on us periodically, gave great menu guidance, and had a really friendly personality. She should be a bartender if she hasn't been one before. She's easy to talk to and made the dining experience that much better. I had the open faced lox on sesame bagel and it was excellent - and QUARTERED! They're not messing around with open faced here, not two halves but four easy to maneuver quarters! The lox itself was perfect - not too salty, no black spots, fresh and smooth. Freshly sliced cucumber, red onion, capers, and the bagel itself was excellent! Usually it's all about the top and the toppings but the bottom was better than most bagels I've had outside New York. Nice and crispy bottom but the inside was soft and JUST a little chewy (as I believe it should be). I liked the breakfast potatoes, they were nicely seasoned and crispy but again soft on the inside. The potato salad was pretty good too - nice consistency and good flavor, maybe could be a little more heavily seasoned but that's really nit picky because it's hard enough to get the texture right. Coffee was very good, even the decaf. But the to-go cups? I'm in love with the lid. It fit securely but the little flap is the best flap I've ever seen on a coffee cup, easy to open and close, and when opened, clicks nicely into the top of the lid - no hanging over interrupting the flow of coffee like some lesser lids.We got the cream cheese to go because it was very good! Also got whitefish salad to go and we just had it for breakfast the next day and it was EXCELLENT! I'm very particular about whitefish salad - which is not easy to come by in AZ, let alone Tucson (yes we have a bagel place that offers it but it's not nearly as good as NYB&B's version), so knowing we can pick it up fresh in Scottsdale is really comforting. Not too fishy, finely diced (I am not a fan of large chunky style whitefish salad), easily spread, just great! AND to top off the to-go portion, rugelach to go!!! They were really good as well (I got apricot, raspberry and chocolate). Even the location is great. It was an easy 5 minute drive from our hotel, I'm not sure of the name of the plaza (Greyhawk?) but parking was easy and it was a nice little strip, across from Starbucks and other businesses. Looking forward to the next visit!
