So, nice store. I found everything I was looking for. The place is clean with a lot of selection. I will say the customer service was mixed. I did have two employees ask me if I needed help which was great. At other times, staff would walk right by me and not even acknowledge me. I was on a time crunch and just needed my hat cleaned. Only one guy back there, Holden, and it was busy. He had to manage a phone and customers. Three other employees right there. One was stocking items nearby. The other was a young lady folding clothes at the hat counter. Maybe she isn't qualified to work on hats. The third seemed like a supervisor but she was just running around the area and Holden had to manage everything else going on. I give him a thumbs up. Not only did he take care of the hat I brought in but he found a new Stetson I wanted and made sure I had everything I needed. I would go here again. read more

My Fiancee and I were looking for our first pair of boots here in Texas, and for our upcoming wedding. I heard great things about this place, and I found a pair I liked online. When we arrived on a Saturday, it was already bustling everywhere. We found out the women's boots were just to the right as soon as you walked in. I showed the salesman (did not catch his name, black cowboy hat) what I saw online, and he took me directly to it. I asked for "wide width". He said he did not offer that in the store. My usual size did not work. He was not much help. My Fiancee helped take off and put on boots. Tried a couple more, now one size up. Fit better, but still a little tight around the mid foot. But, found a pair that would go with my dress. The salesman just kind of stood in background. But, when we got the men's department, we had GREAT help from Chris! My Fiancee did not want square or pointed toe, was looking for rounded toe. He directed him to the JRC boots. He too had to go up a size to fit. But, Chris was very helpful in getting out several different styles for him. We asked for protection for the boots, and he said that was sold up front. There was a long line to check out. But, the two ladies checking us out were super friendly and nice. I asked for the protection for the boots, and she came around and showed me where it was, as only had a couple left. Cavender's Western Outfitter - Men's Clothing Near Me - Round Rock, Texas

This is the second Cavender's I have been to and I certainly think there is a much greater selection here than at the one in Austin near the Domain. I was actually recommended to come to this one in Round Rock since it has a greater selection of hats, boots, etc by the gentleman working at the hat section in the one in Austin. I wear about at 7 3/8 size hat and sometimes it is hard to find it in stock. It was no problem here at the Cavender's in Round Rock, and there were plenty of straw and felt hats to choose from in various colors. It took me forever to decide on a hat but I finally chose a felt one since I really liked the brown color of the hat and the way it fit on my head. I asked a couple questions to the staff working in the hat section and they were helpful. I then went and checked out at the main area afterwards. I noticed there was a small spot on my hat on the inside of the brim before I walked out of the store and I asked the gentleman working the hat section if he could take care of it. He did more than enough to try every trick he knew to try and remove the spot including scrubbing it with a few different tools and putting some powder on it that I did not even know about. Safe to say he was able to get the spot out and I am proud to be wearing my hat these days. I will definitely be back for any of my Western outfit needs. read more

I truly love most of the boots and hats that Cavander's has. I have for years. However, I feel that this location in particular has subpar customer service. While there are many cashiers/custom service representatives walking around at this location, it seems they all ignore the customers even when they are flagged down. For as much money as I spend here as well as all consumers who shop here, this is the one aspect that will cause us to move our dollars elsewhere. Please do better. read more

Looked this up on to see hours and was surprised to see 3 star review average so I read some of them. Most say something about customer service but I've always been given wonderful customer service. A few times I had to look hard to find help but it's a big store. Have never seen boxes sitting out in isles and boot isles have never been cluttered for me. We like this store. I love the quality at this store and I love the prices even more. Managed to get a pair of well made, low rise flare jeans for $80! Everyone who works here is so friendly and there's a guy named Storm (kick ass name, right?) with a kick ass mustache who is awesome and knows everything so I highly recommend going here. read more

This Cavender's is unfortunately not well kept and has a very small women's boot and clothing section. When I was there last (beginning of June), there were boxes all in the aisles and the women's section wasn't organized at all. And why only have the best brand name boots for men? Not baby friendly, no changing tables. When your baby has a blow out you would think that the bathroom would have something to change a child on. Especially since they sell baby clothes. But they don't. Also- there are so many boxes and clothes racks so stuffed and close to each other you can barely walk through the store. I've been to this location multiple times and gotten some nice things, but this experience was terrible. read more

First, boxes and inventory clutter the aisles which I could get over despite the sales associates standing around when they could at least be organizing so customer can get thru. Second and more important, I watched a woman and her small son try to return some clothes yesterday. They refused the shirt saying it had clearly been worn and smelled like detergent. They pointed out the wrinkles too which is not that strange bc it was probably sitting in a bag by the front door like mine do . She was embarrassed and they were really rude. I felt bad for her and won't support a store that can't give the customer the benefit of a doubt. From my viewpoint, it didn't look used up and they were out of line. read more

Cavenders did nothing to help me out when the problem was on their side. I was traveling from out of town and went to several boot shops around Austin. I purchased a pair from Cavenders carefully checking the return policy when doing so bc I wasn't 100% on them. When I went to return them 2 days later their credit system was down and they wouldn't do anything to help me out, offering me an exchange only. I fly out tomorrow morning. There is no coming back in tomorrow when they fix their problem for me. How frustrating! read more

To start my co-workers and I were sent to Cavenders for our annual work boot round up. Their selection was amazing, All major makes and styles. But what really set them apart was the customer service. Crystal was extremely helpful, had a personality that could brighten anyone's day with the work ethic to match. Our work crew consisted of approximately 25 employees with different bills to fit. When we approached the counter Crystal immediately corralled us up knowing that our transaction would be difficult and timely with a checkout line growing by the second. Without hesitation she began to total up our bill with a smile and humorous banter. She informed us that she had been working all day helping our co-workers and was waiting for her shift to end so she could celebrate her birthday. Her attitude and kindness was a breath of fresh air after the lack of due to the pandemic. By far the best customer service I've witnessed since. Will highly recommend all friends and acquaintances to this store for any western wear needs. read more

Service was almost non existent. We picked out our own boots and found a sales person, they walked the boots up to the counter and then vanished without a word. We were left standing around for 30 minutes before we asked someone else what was up. Several sales staff walking by just looking at us without ever making any attempt to ask if we needed help.
