Cowboy hats. Boots. Buckles. Everything a growing cowpoke needs. I bought two hats. One black and one white because I am not a monster and a fellar needs proper attire for every occasion. Resistol and Stetson hats were in my cart this trip. Got new black Justin Ropers a few months back before a wedding. Not as cheap as online mega-warehouses but hats have to be worn to make sure they fit and ride comfortably and they got plenty to test drive here in person. Kinda like Harry Potters wand. Really. I was invited to a Western Party and already had boots and a hat . I hadn't worn the hat in over 9 years and it was a dusty, moldy mess. I really was embarrassed that I had taken such poor care of a hat, that was a very expensive purcahse for me at the time the hat was bought. There are two other Horestown locations in "Atlanta" and some how I chose this, the furthest away location to bring the hat for cleaning and boy am I glad I did. One of the cashiers directed me to the Hat Room to speak with someone about cleaning and shaping the hat, and while I knew the hat was in horrible shape, she never blinked an eye. I walked around and was shocked. This is by far the largest of the 3 locations, they had boots in every shape, style and color. I went in to get the hat cleaned and shaped, which is a free service and almost spent $300 on a pair rust/brown/floral cowboy boots. I hurried up and handed those boots back over and made my way over to where the horse feed and saddles, and accessories were. This felt safer, since I don't own an horse and won't be caught up in the impulse spending of this place. By the time I strolled back over to the hat room, the hat had been cleaned, shaped and adorned with a peacock feather. The hat lady offered me a selection of other feathers and I chose a different one that I knew would match perfectly with the outfit I was wearing to the Western Party. and I purchased a hat band for Antone time, cause I promise to take much better care of that hat for the next 8 years, so I also bought a waterproof, dust proof, mold proof hat storage case. Excellent Service, attentive staff, large selections of hats, boots, belts and dang near everything else. No refunds, store credits only within 30 days. read more

The one that tried to help us was so new, he knew nothing. I would think the people working would have been a little more willing to help since it was a pricey establishment. This place is huuuuge and feels like a cross between the Country Bear Jamboree and Ted's Montana Grill. That to say, if you're not comfortable around men wearing a lot of plaid and flannel, and decorations of dead animals on the walls, you probably won't enjoy shopping here. But, if you're looking for a pair of cowboy boots, this is where you want to come. The boot selection is massive. Literally aisles and aisles of cowboy and work boots in every material, color, shape, style, height, and price. I found it interesting that, like my skills at purse shopping, I have a knack for picking the most expensive leathers (and subsequently gasping at the price); the most expensive pair of boots I found here was over $700. While the majority of their selection is in the much more affordable $100-250 range, it definitely is possible to splurge. Once a year, each Horse Town location has a giant sale called the "stampede," and while it certainly is a stampede of more F-250s than you can imagine in the parking lot, it also brought the price of my beautiful new Nocona's down from $260 to $140. I visited the Horse Town location in Marietta before making my final selection here, and I found the service (and selection) to be much better at this location. They have plenty of employees around to help you make a selection, but they don't hover or push you to make a decision. If you've never worn legit cowboy boots before, they fit differently than regular boots, and it's nice to have someone around to explain how much heel slippage is normal and expected. Though the boots are the star, Horse Town also carries jeans, belts, hats, saddles (yep, like for horses), and any other accoutrement one might need to care for or ride a horse. Bought clip on reigns before Thanksgiving daughter used them 2 times brass clip fell off leather came unraveled. Called the Locust Grove store December 7th left a message for the manager. No call back so called again December 9th left another message 10 minutes later got a callback from manager who got picture or receipt and broken reigns. I was told the exact reigns were not in stock but a different color was available she would send them and I was to send back the broken reigns. So I haven't received the replacement reigns and called back December 26th asked for a manager got put on hold for 49 minutes keeping the line open I called from another phone asked associate for a manager who told me she's standing right next to me. Manager picked up I explained I was on hold for 52 minutes waiting for you and you never picked up. Her response oh I was never told, but I was busy with customers in store. I guess they're more important than long distance customers. She then tells me oh I have been waiting for you to mail them back first vi explained that's not what I was told. She then tells me oh we should be able to credit you back shipping. Should?? So the story continues. Will post final results. read more

It was well worth the drive! Within 2-3 minutes of walking into the building my daughter and I was warmly greeted. The boot bling queen ( that's what the other employees called her) helped bedazzle a pair of super cute by very basic boots for my daughter and of course she fell in with them! She got a pair of Corrals and I got my first pair of Lucchese... we both are highly satisfied! Thanks to all the ladies that helped us and took time to listen to our wants. They will not exchange boots even though they have a policy posted. I had my receipt and the boots had only been worn 4h as they did not fit. The exchange policy was the reason I bought them in the 1st place. Extremely rude manager bad service and phony policy. Was told In a very rude manner that she could not sell them as new!?!?!?!? I have been dying to go to a good western apparel store. Living in the east, that is hard to come by and ordering online does not work for me because I'm tall and thin so I have to try things on before buying. I live in Kentucky and the Boot Barns around me have been disappointing in that the woman's selection is nothing compared to mens and they never carry my size. So when I went to Florida for New Years, this Cavender's was along my route, so of course I had to stop! All the hype and what seemed like good reviews. And if I was a man walking in there, heck yeah! Jackpot. Boots upon boots, good layout and selection of clothing and belts, etc. And as an equestrian, I was drooling over the tack. However, from a woman's perspective, I was let down. The women's clothing selection is half that of the guys, the boots selection is a fraction of the mens boots, and the layout is so cramped it even discouraged me from looking through the racks. I could barely fit between the clothes racks and the individual items were cramped onto the racks so much that I had to man-handle them just to dig down and find a tag for correct sizing. Compared to the mens where it was obviously more spaced out and shirts etc. were neat on shelves and racks and you didn't feel consumed by the clothes; a lot more inviting. And for women's boots, very little option. This store definitely has its perks. But as a woman who is not average sized and would like to enjoy the shopping experience, not my go to. read more

I was looking for ladies tall jeans. They had more varities of size and length than anywhere else I've been. The selection and customer service was excellent. Bethany not only showed me to the jeans but, she help me figure out the size I needed and selected several different cuts and styles for me to try. She brought me different sizes and advised on how certain styles stretch and wear over time. I could not be more pleased. I shopped for a new saddle for over 14 months and found it at Horsetown in Locust Grove, GA. I went by there on a business trip to GA so I could look and do some measuring. The staff is so professional. I went home and decided to purchase. I called and spoke with Nicole on Thursday 03-26-2015. She explained the purchase and shipping process. She even took a digital photo and text me so I was assured it was the saddle I had previously sat on and measured! The next day when I arrived home from work, it was on my front porch! WOW! Do not shop here. Terrible customer service and they will not allow returns. Online purchases do allow returns but in store purchases do not. This is not a great policy. I purchased my son a pair of boots at the store in Locust Grove. He needed 1/2 size larger, they did not have it and we were told they could not get it. They would not give us a refund. They are forcing you to buy only from them. Very outdated and not customer friendly. read more
