Just learned about the garden bar recently so took my husband for date night. Blue Lunch was the band playing! They were really talented musicians bringing blues, soul, r&b and jazz! The garden bar is an oasis tucked behind the actual garden center on Nottingham road! Wow! I can't believe I never knew about this hidden gem! They have a simple good menu with a good selection of items to enjoy while you soak in the beautiful eclectic garden and listen to amazing music! . The dance floor was not lost on people even on this steamy summer night! The modest cover charge was WELL worth it! Our server Caroline was excellent and so friendly! Very reasonable pricing for a great night out! We started with a bottle of local Debonne vineyard Riesling and a charcuterie board. We then shared a caprese sandwich and cannolis. The wine pairing with the fresh food added to the experience! Closing my eyes, it was like being on vacation! No flights, no hotels - right here in beautiful CLE! I am already looking at the schedule to see which other nights we can come back for with friends! Don't wait, get here before summer is over! My first clam bake. Loved it. Food was great. Every single thing. Plentiful and hot. Loved that there were places to sit under cover when it sprinkled. All in all weather was fine. Loved the band. If I had a suggestion it would be adding some handicap parking spots and letting people know you could reserve a table for clambake. Hard for us older folks having to walk to get our food from the back green house. I got there at 12:50 with my group and parking was already full. I would also suggest maybe some runners in helping us get our food to our tables. I had to carry two dinners as I was helping a handicapped person. I love what Angela has created here. Just love it. Every year there are improvements. Keep up the great work. read more

I recently visited Cavotta's Garden Center for an afternoon out. While I found the overall environment to be very charming--the gardens are beautiful, the live music was great, and seeing the farm animals was a lovely touch--the food service was highly disappointing and fell completely short of expectations. For a venue operating inside a garden center, you would expect the food to showcase fresh, vibrant ingredients, but the meal tasted incredibly low-effort. I ordered a salad, and the greens did not taste fresh at all. The tomatoes were entirely hollow and completely devoid of any real flavor. To make matters worse, the salad was topped with mandarin oranges that clearly came straight out of a can, and they had a very strange, unappealing sour taste to them. To round out the meal, the breadstick served on the side was completely stale and hard. The outdoor patio and live entertainment area are fantastic places to sit and socialize, but the kitchen operations really need a complete quality audit. If you are looking for fresh, high-quality dining, I cannot recommend eating here. Go for the music and the atmosphere, but definitely skip the food. read more

Quirky & Odd, this place is. I asked a server for a beer at our table and he said I had to go to the bar. Next, at the bar, service was odd. Repeatedly asking me what I wanted. Me repeating the same thing. And they still got the order wrong. 2 bartenders who seemed hung over, just not good service. Cut customers off in the middle of the line saying they were closing. No notice or warning ahead of time. Rude. Prices for food were high. Food serviced from an off site vendor. My friends said the drinks were overpriced and not very good. Why you would have goats and birds so near loud music?, bothers me. Bathrooms were port-a-potties. With hand sanitizer. Now a days, most places provide a water station for cleansing. Over all this place is on the cheap. It could be so much more. As the outdoor environment and landscaping is cool. read more

Cavottas is a peaceful slice of heaven in the middle of an otherwise older/industrial street. We make time to see the live music once a summer and enjoy the gardens bounty served up! The store has so many artfully done decorations for the yard and a great selection of seasonal plants! They do have indoor houseplants - a solid selection. Charm is around every corner with the lively goats, seating deep into the garden and friendly faces abound. read more

It's hard to believe I've lived in this area for nearly 30 years and driven by Cavotta's probably hundreds of times and last night was our first time there. What a great spot! Just beautiful with lots of comfortable places to sit. We had drinks and sandwiches and listened to the music. Great night!! read more

I almost don't want to write this review and keep this place a secret! We stumbled upon Cavotta's secret garden patio. Think speakeasy meets garden center. Incredible! The space is beautiful and they have live music on the weekends (highly recommend). They have your basic wines and beers and some picnic style food. The reason I will be returning was the people and the atmosphere. Everyone, staff and patrons, were chill and easygoing. I mean when you're outside with life music, drinks, and farm animals you can't help but be in a good mood! We will be back so soon! Looking forward to it. read more

I remember going to Cavotta's a few times as a kid with my grandparents when they would buy flowers for their massive garden. I was a miserable, gloomy, goth kid that hated flowers and anything colorful. So yeah, I didn't like going to Cavotta's then because I didn't like anything that wasn't black or dead. In my adult life, I've driven past Cavotta's approximately 1,000 times and have never stopped in. WHY? Am I stupid? I found out the answer to that question this past Saturday. YES. I'm stupid. Cavotta's is a locally owned family business established in 1930. For more than 80 years, they've been selling produce and everything for your garden in the summer. They have lots of typical dago garden statues. You know, like, the Virgin Mary praying for your sins while she watches over your rose bushes. In the fall, pumpkins. In the winter, Christmas trees and decor and chocolate goodies. I insisted on buying a Christmas tree from a local mom and pop shop. So to Cavotta's I went. Disclaimer for the *omigod-i-must-buy-everything-local-peeps* -- I have NO idea where the Christmas trees actually came from. I didn't ask. I don't care. Maybe they were shipped in from China like everything else. Oh well. I bought it and I'm satisfied and I felt good giving Cavotta's my money instead of Lowe's or some big box chain that was selling trees. Another BIG, BIG bonus of Cavotta's is that they have some really adorable vintage items for sale inside. Who knew? They have several old stoves, a chrome and pink washing machine with a ringer (I wanted that so bad), and some other lovely, kitschy vintage decor. I was in love. They also had some vintage toys AND local honey. The best part of my Cavotta's experience was dealing with the beautiful, kind woman working that day. I feel terrible for not getting her name but she was an absolute JOY to work with. She helped me get the tree into my car. Errrrr, scratch that. She did all of the work. She put the tree into my car on her own and laughed about how I didn't even have to help her and insisted I go inside to stay warm. And then she talked to me about the cute vintage stuff she has for sale and complimented me on my purse. What a sweetie pie. I'll definitely be back to Cavotta's soon. read more

Terrible service. Was made to feel unsafe by a parking attendant who claimed he owned the place. (Because my aunt was slowly walking her 83 y/o mother to the front) like really dude your yelling and screaming at two ladies struggling to walk. After that the owner said she would call the police of I didn't pay the $34 bill. Must be struggling for money. I am so appalled even though my family may know you it doesn't make it right for you to treat me like garbage. I will never be back to cavottas and I've told all my gardening friends to follow suit. The music is too loud. There is no seating. Everything is over priced. And the owner is mean. I will not patronize this place ever again. I would love an apology and my $40 back also. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

Just went with the family today to get some veggie plants for the garden. My wife loved all the different flowers they had and they have a HUGE selection of heirloom tomatoes if you're into that sort of thing. The also have some chickens, rabbits, and goats in the back that my son loved. We got several three packs of tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers and the price was great! I will definitely be coming back here in the future for any planting needs. read more

I needed to pick up some plants for our plot in our community garden. I remembered driving past Cavotta's a few times and liking the lushness of the hanging pots and plants that you can see from the road. I pulled in, headed out back and found perfectly organized, labeled and elevated flats with an amazing variety of tomatoes, peppers, some great cucumbers and herbs ... and I got to shop with some friendly chickens!! I looked longingly at their beautiful hanging pots, but we have no place to put them, so I bought my little veggie plants, had a great chat with the owner and headed home. The plants from Cavotta's were amazing! They immediately outpaced the plants in the other plots --- and I came back to get a cucumber plant for a fellow gardener after a rabbit destroyed her first growth. She asked where we got our plants, so I offered to bring her a couple cucumber plants -- she was thrilled with ones I brought back - they immediately caught up to her other plants and she's enjoying her delicious burpless cucumbers. I can't recommend Cavotta's highly enough. They care about their customers and everything I've ever bought there has thrived! They're worth the drive, and while you're there, take some time to tell the staff what you want to grow -- you may go home with some new favorites - they're that good!!! read more

i had no idea this place was so close to me and I have been living in this community for 30 years. Nice supply of flowers, plants, etc etc. I was extremely happy with my five flats of impatients.
