Their marketplace also has everything you need for canning- reasonably priced mason jars, pectin, beautiful fruit and recipes. The staff is ever-helpful and friendly. The prices are a great value. I can't wait to go back for raspberry picking! One of my favorite things is that they keep their website updated so you know when to expect the cucumbers to be in season and when they'll be done with raspberries. They have even sent postcards! These greenhouses are on the National Historic Building registry. Trickers has been in business for well over a century. The selection of pond plants and fish can only leave a person wanting a bigger water garden to fit it all in. The locals do fill the place on the weekends and a long wait is guaranteed but it is well worth it. Trickers staff is very knowledgable and will help you choose the right supplies to fit your needs. They have everything. And it's local.

In past years I would get plants with long stems and large lilies pads and would have flowers the same day or at least the same week I placed them in my pond. After two weeks I still have small plants without flowers. I wrote to complain and was told that because of cold weather this spring some of their varieties did not do very well. I purchased American Beauty and Helen Tricker varieties. I asked why they didn't contact me and give me the option to take different varieties? Their response was they may consider that next year. I quickly received a delivery of compost (no charge) to mix in with the "dirt" but I now had to talk to the client to add additional work, plus rent a mini skid steer to move the extra amount of soil.
