With the majority of hotels in Ocean City being equal, the Cayman Suites is the old world Ocean City charm that most of us love, but with the amazing luxury of two separate rooms! Having sleep accommodations separate from living accommodations is highly unusual in an Ocean City hotel, and really quite wonderful! The views are lovely, the building quiet, the walk to very wide beach, easy. The walk to food, coffee, ice cream, entertainment, so convenient. In addition, they offer free parking, paper towels, soap and a fully-loaded kitchen with a real coffee pot! Granted, the building is aging and could use some updates and a facelift, but so is every other hotel in the city. This obviously is not the fault or responsibility of the hotel staff. The staff is overworked; the hotel understaffed. Please be patient and kind. If they don't get to your room on your time, the front desk is there to accommodate, and has extras of everything needed. I watched the amount of grief piled upon the staff as I was waiting for my room to be ready (we were very early for check-in). Frankly, the rudeness and intolerance was difficult to observe. Ocean City is not a five-star town; never was. Hotel staff is not responsible for that. Know what you are in for before you go, enjoy the beach, the old-world charm, and old-school fun, or perhaps choose to drive/fly elsewhere for a more refined experience. read more

The office chair seat has what appears to be body fluid stains on seat cushion. It should be just thrown out in trash. There is no outlets near our beds to charge our phones or anything. Half the outlets didn't work so it was a mystery trying to find one that would work. There was black spots & dirt in "kitchen and on kitchen floors". The room definitely has mold because it's Smells like a dying corpse inside the room. My allergies and headaches got instantly triggered and worse because This place is foul and disgusting. The only thing I can say is the guy at the front desk was nice and friendly. Besides that everything else was legit trash. I hate to leave such a negative review but my god I'm trying to give you fair warning. Don't stay here unless you want to feel completely grossed out. I've stayed here a few times preCovid & it was fine. Stayed here when the Oceans Calling Festival was supposed to happen but got canceled because of hurricane Ian. They would not give a refund nor partial refund. We had water come thru the floor called the front desk from the phone in the room & no one answered. Had to call the 1-410-250-7600 number twice in a 45 minute period then waited another 15 min for someone to come see the water & clean it up. I asked to be moved to another room & she said she had no room to move me to but the sign out front said vacancy. All weekend there were about 10 cars parked in the parking lot. They had the available rooms. The WiFi never worked. There were holes in the wall, stains on the bed. Just so dissatisfied with this whole experience! Never again will I stay here! read more

If you're going to read the reviews, heed the warnings. Do not stay at this hotel. They are not actually suites. They are inefficiency rooms with a privacy wall, and no air conditioning in the bedroom. They are not clean. And there was a horrific oder of marijuana in the parking deck, the stairwell, the elevator in front of my hotel room. I am not sure what the order wasn't in our room, but it gave both of us a headache within 5 minutes. We left soon thereafter and try to get a refund but wasn't able to do so. As others have posted, this is a budget hotel. I give it 3 stars, because the staff are super nice and they were very attentive to some needed repairs in the room. While it's not on the beach, it is a very short walk from the beach and the same side of Coastal Highway, which is nice. The room and building needs some updating and repairs. Our stove was all rusted over. Really gross to think about cooking there. There were a few ants and staff came up immediately with some powder. One of the worst parts of the hotel is the hallway to the elevator. The rooms have outside doors and then there's an inside hallway with one open side. There is no circulation of air in the hallway to the elevator. No air condition or fan. When it's hot out, you cannot make it out of the hotel without getting completely sweaty. It was hot and humid during our stay and to get out of the hotel meant my whole family was covered in sweat. Air seemed actually unhealthy with the high humidity during the stay. Such an easy fix, so I'm not sure why the hotel leaves it like that. The pool was small and really just ok. It's indoors and has almost a greenhouse type room. The windows were all sweaty and it was very humid in the pool room. Also something they could fix. We stayed there because it was a last minute trip and we needed the 1 bedroom since we have an infant and it had availability. I wouldn't choose this place again. read more

Excellent budget hotel and within safe walking distance to the beach. Don't expect a "5" star accommodation, however the room is clean with fully functional kitchen and utensils. The pool is heated and free parking. Make sure go through the coupon books for good deals at the cross the street sunsation store, DQ, and Pizza restaurant. I booked two double beds and there is a pull out sofa. There is a game room on the second floor equipped with claw machine, skee ball, and several arcade games. The front desk were friendly and check in was a breeze. This is our second time staying here and will Bot be our last. We enjoyed our family bonding, thanks to Cayman suites. Great value. 3-star building - 4-star location - Functional We stayed here for 3 nights the first week of August. I chose this place because of the kitchenettes & the proximity to the beach. The location worked out great. The walk to the beach was easy for my girls & me. We were able to hit the beach, walk back to eat & rest, and head right back to the beach a few times per day. I'm sure a place directly on the beach would be more convenient, but this was really pretty easy. The key to this location is staying on the ocean side of the main road. Crossing the main road is sort of hazardous. As for the kitchenette, it was OK. It was barely stocked with essentials so I'm really happy I packed my own stuff (there was no spatula for example). We made easy stuff like BLTs, but if I hadn't packed my own equipment we would have probably ended up going out to eat. The room was otherwise clean and comfortable. One last note, they have an indoor pool, which is another big reason we chose this place. So, we ended up not using it because the weather was perfect & we stayed in the ocean. But with two kids in tow if it had rained we would have needed that pool to keep them occupied. So I can't comment on how great he pool might be, but for me it was a good insurance policy. read more

We stayed here Aug 10th Do not stay here, unless you want to take bed bugs home. We stayed in rm 407 and my family had 401. (Completely on other side of building )The bugs come out of floor and outlets about @ 3 am. When we got here. I examined everything, the sheets were clean and the mattress pads. The mattress had the zippered covers on them. The AC were set to 62 , so it was very cold. The floor behind bed was dirty and had toys ect. I didn't find anything. My family called me to tell me they need me to come look at their beds. (I am a licensed exterminator) I went over at 230 am. they had adults bedbugs coming up on the back of the mattress. I ran back to my room and I had the same issue. I had several on my beds. I was livid. We went and told the front desk, we collected the ones we could catch. The young girl smashed the one and blood splat on the counter. They put us in another hotel for the night until Ziggy the manager could come in. Ziggy offered us another room at same hotel. I said No way. He said he couldn't help us. I insisted on a refund, which they gave us. I told Ziggy they had a infestation . He told me I was over reaching. We found other rooms at comfort inn. Our vacation was ruined, had to throw luggage away and rewash every piece of clothing and dry at super heat. We didn't find anything in our luggage or clothes, but you can't take those things home.It cost thousands to treat them. Unless your licensed to treat. We drove by and they had put new guests in our exact rooms. There is no way they killed those bedbugs. They needed to heat those rooms. Those bugs are in the walls. This is a warning to all. Looks great from the outside, but once you get inside, it is a whole different ball game. We booked last minute, the picture's looked great. We figure if they are a part of the Carousel Group, it should be nice. Check in was a breeze a little crowded since everyone was checking in for the weekend. We were given room 401. Once we opened the door, we were like oh. It looked nice at first, then upon inspection, black mold on the ceiling and scuff marks all over the wall. I am not one to complain, but I said to my wife, this is nasty. My son's socks turn black from walking on the floor. I was like wow. I slept on the pull out couch, the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. I have slept on cots in tents that were more comfortable. We even brought an air mattress, but the mattress for the pull out was so worn out, i was sinking. My boys wanted to check out their game room. In the pictures it shows arcade style games, nope nothing. ping pong, air hockey, and fosse ball. Very disappointing. For the price we paid, I expected much more and better, not the case. They need to put forth the effort in cleaning and sanitizing. I have pictures on my phone with trash in the elevator. Very disappointed, should of down more research before we booked, but of course we went off pictures. read more

Definitely a great stay in Ocean City! This year was my third time visiting Ocean City but my 1st time staying at Cayman Suites. I truly rely on Yelp reviews so when I saw the 4 stars I booked immediately. We arrived on a Monday afternoon around 3pm. We were greeted my smiles by the staff at the front desk. I had to sign the deposit of $175 and pay the remaining balance of $351. For me this seemed likes steal in comparison to some other hotels in the area. We were presented with some information about different attractions and eateries in the area which we found to be helpful. Our room was on the 5th floor with a nice balcony over looking Coastal Highway. Their is a Sunsations conveniently located across the street. You can find any and everything you need for the beach there. There is also a Grotto Pizza across the street where we had lunch one afternoon. As far as the room, it was incredibly clean! I have to admit that I did make a mistake as far as booking a bed with 1 King sized bed instead of 2 double beds. Nonetheless my mom slept on the couch in the living room and found it to be comfortable enough. Both the living room and bedroom had television. There was coffee provided, fridge, stove, etc. There is convenient beach access from the hotel. It is rather far from the OC Boardwalk but you can easily get there via the Beach Bus which is $3 for an all day ticket. I did use the fitness room one morning. The equipment was rather archaic but it got the job done. There is only 1 treadmill and thankfully it was free when I wanted to use it. There is also a game room which I can see being useful especially on rainy days. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend Cayman Suites to others. read more

This may not be your "5 star" hotel, it's not luxurious and its not brand name, but quality wise it couldn't be better. There is not enough money that can guarantee you a smile at the front desk and excellent customer service from front desk to maintenance, and here you get it at such an affordable price! The cons: Stove is very basic. Barely worth cooking on it, plan on eating out, or bring pre cooked for microwave meals. The pros: 1 st and foremost amazing customer service! 2. Price for quality! 3. Spacious!! With 7 out of 10 views for a street front hotel (at least from The 5th floor) 4. Sufficient parking. 5. Will accommodate early check in when available. 6. Great housekeeping!!!! First off, the price- NOT WORTH IT! We had purchased the queen suite for three nights and come to a jacked up room. We try to open the curtains, and the one on the right is broken. We try to open the sliding door, and we can't because it's broken and doesn't lock. We check the cutlery and dishes, their dirty. Two lamps and one light didn't work. The mini fridge was dirty and had food remains inside of it. And on top of that, we saw that they didn't have a cleaning service every day. I talked to other people staying in the hotel, and they said they didn't have a clue that their would be no cleaning service either. And for the insane price it was!! So, no cleaning people came for three days. Also, you had two towels provided to your suite. Anytime you needed more, you had to go to the front office and ask for them. Half the time they didn't even have towels and you had to wait. The bed isn't comfortable and we found a dirty ash tray in our bathroom drawer. So much for the no smoking rule. I wouldn't recommend staying here until some better comments come up on Yelp or wherever you see it. When we looked up this hotel, it had a rating of 8/10... I'd give it a 3-4/10 because the bar was so low for so much money for our stay. read more

Two stars only instead of zero bc of very short walk to the beach and a very comfortable mattress - I am usually a fussy a sleeper. Anyway, when we first got there, dead fly in the 'freshly sanitized' bathroom as advertised. I would not come again here to due the following: misleading photos of the pool (inside a humid weird glass enclosure), non functional iron (desperately needed, I have never been to a hotel or motel where the iron does not work). Also please view the picture of the 'ironing board'. The one we had was broken, but the maintenance brought a 'working one' within minutes. His quick turn around was appreciated, his name is Tony and he deserves 5 stars. He felt bad that all of the irons were like that. Regarding head boards, please refer to the picture. The two room suite was more than what I expected! There is a place to wash off the end by the stairs in the garage area it's great. If you are looking for a clean hotel, with friendly staff, a great location and plenty of amenities to enjoy while in Ocean City, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Despite being an older hotel, our suite appears to be well kept and freshly painted. From the 5th floor we have ocean and bay views. The room layout is perfect for my family. The Living area has a pull out couch and acts as my teenage daughters room. There is a fridge, small cooktop, microwave plates, silverware and sink area. If you wanted to prepare a meal or lunch here, it would be easy. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. We were always greeted with a smile. There is a small indoor pool if the weather isn't so great and want to just take a dip. There's an old school arcade / game room on the second floor. My daughter loved it. Overall this is a great place to lay your head when in Ocean City. We will definitely come back! read more

As budget friendly hotels go, this was an adequate place to spend a two-day getaway to OC. We enjoyed the two-room setup, proximity to the beach, and updated bathroom. The 125th street location was really nice with a lot of good places to eat, mini golf, and a park all within walking distance. The kids liked the arcade and the indoor pool (although it's small and loud). In terms of cons, we booked through groupon and felt we were given a "groupon room" - no balcony with the hotel's neon sign lighting up our room at night. I could have really used a balcony to help dry wet bathing suits. Our feet would get dirty when walking around barefoot. Parts of the hotel are tired - mattresses that are bigger than the detached headboards, outlets that didn't work, dated kitchen stove/cabinets. I noticed other reviews mentioned the road noise and not bothersome, but I found it loud (and I slept with earplugs). It would be the biggest deterrent for me to staying here again. read more

Was looking for a quick beach get away when my son came to town. We booked the Cayman and was so plesently surprised! ! First of all we actually got the room we booked without a fight, which seems to be a novelty anymore. An added bonus - really friendly and accommodating staff! This place is close to the beach and even offered beach chairs and towels complimentary. The rooms were clean, not luxurious but quite adaquate with kitchenette, 2 rooms and tables. The balcony was nice, though noisey and overlooking the main drag. But there were many places to eat, shop and even minature golf within walking distance. This place far exceeded my expectations. I stayed here this past weekend and planned a much needed get-a-way to OC with my 9 year old son. Both of us couldn't have been happier. I wasn't expecting clean rooms or friendly service but we were both wowed in these departments. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. I booked the room thru a special discount site and was not sure it was all going to be worth it. But it was. Sleeping room for 6 people easy in out suite. I loved the mini kitchen which also included the little things that I didn't plan on needing like a fork, knife, spatula and a pan to cook some eggs in. In some of the pictures I saw online I wasn't expecting up to date anything here but sure enough, we had a great room with 2 flat screen TV's which was a nice surprise. The arcade room was a nice touch and allowed for some fun time for the boy. The heated indoor pool was very wonderful and right on time since the ocean was still very cold to swim in. Most of all..... thecustomer service was 5 stars. Thank you Jose and the morning check in guy....who's name escapes me. You guys were very friendly and helpful with all the request and questions I had. The one thing I would suggest, replacing the antiquated digital clock radios with a clock radio with a smart phone docking station. An absolute minor thing but it would be a nice plus. When we first walked in the room, we were a little disappointed at the size of the room. I guess from the pictures on the website we thought it would be a little bigger. That being said, the room was comfortable and clean during our three night stay. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating to any request we had. The suite had a TV and DVD player in both the bedroom and the living room. They also have a list of DVDs at the front desk that you can borrow to watch in the room. When we discovered that the player in the living room did not work, they quickly replaced it. We took advantage of their Beach Escape package which was for a 3 night stay, checking in on a Tuesday and checking out on a Friday. In our room was a 6 pack of Coke in the refrigerator, a kite if we wanted it, a box of microwave popcorn, and the use of two beach chairs each day if we needed them. My wife and I are considering taking advantage of the deal again in October for just the two of us. It is definitely a place that we will consider using again for our family trip to the beach next year. read more

I stayed here with my husband, 6 month old, and mother-in-law for a weekend getaway. Our room was clean and room service did a good job during our stay. There was enough room for our Pack N Play in the bedroom (with room to spare). We were on the top floor and we could see the ocean from the entrance to our room. We were able to use the facilities to get dressed and go onto the beach while we waited for check in. After checking out we were allowed to use the pool and bathrooms after spending a few hours on the beach. Another plus is that there are sand chairs available, free of charge, at the front desk. There was also free internet access! The only downsides were that the balcony, which is accessed through the bedroom, overlooked the highway. It was a little noisy at night but not enough to keep us awake. Also, the pool area was VERY warm since it is enclosed. read more

Great spot for a summer vacation. The location is incredibly close to the beach and the staff is rather friendly.

Check in was quick and friendly. We were given keys to a 3rd floor room. Elevator was amazingly slow to the point that we resorted to using the stairs and I often wondered if it was up to code because it seemed very lethargic like it took all it had to go from floor to floor. It was a huge concern for us. Upon walking to our room the first day, my husband's first comment was, "a bit run down, huh?". The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows so flat that after the first night I woke with neck pain and a headache. On a positive note, the bathroom was on the modern side which was nice and they were very accommodating when we had to ask for more bath towels when we realized that the housekeeper apparently doesn't clean the room after the first night if you are staying longer. All in all, we had a great time in OC but would more than likely not choose to stay here again when returning. read more

I was viewing hotels to stay at for a week trip to Ocean City and found this hotel on booking.com. On the website their was nothing mentioned about not allowing Adults under the age of 21 not being allowed to rent a room besides the 400 dollar security deposit. Nevertheless, my boyfriend told me to call just to ensure that they did allow adults under the age of 21 to check in. When I called, the rude man who answered the phone did not even allow me to finish my question without rudely cutting me off and abruptly telling me no. Not a fancy hotel by any means but for the price point, it was great. We stayed in a king suite on the top floor so we had a view of the bay from the bedroom balcony and of the ocean from the window in the living room. The bed was more comfortable than it felt just by sitting on it. The couch was fine but I can't imagine an adult would be happy sleeping on the pull out couch. There's pots and pans and a few dishes and utensils but they didn't look spectacular so we opted to use disposable stuff. Our fridge broke the first night we were there but was replaced in less than 20 minutes. Free wifi. The AC was good and strong (possibly too strong but had it been a normal 90 degree July week that would've been necessary). Parking was easy... there's only one spot per room but there was never an issue getting a spot and the spaces were large enough for SUVs. The walk to the beach is very short, and there's minimal traffic. I don't really love Ocean City but I'd stay here again. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here for a weekend. I'd stayed with my cousin before in a suite, which is how I remembered this place when booking this trip. The staff is beyond friendly! Truly A+ customer service. Keep up the great work. They lend beach chairs and towels out for the beach, which was wonderful, and even offer free DVD rentals. We never had an issue finding close parking and the only negatives I have are that our particular room (509) had a weird AC glitch. It seems that a giant room was turned into a bedroom and living room area and the AC unit is in the living room, so the AC coming out of the one unit has to be partially siphoned into the bedroom through a tube and vent. This didn't work very well and our room was stuffy. For sunburnt people, I'd preferred sleeping in the living room probably. The second complaint was that the one elevator for the whole building was quite slow. But, the place is very cheerfully decorated, private, and a great value. The shower drained perfectly (usually this is an issue at beach hotels where I've stayed). We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. read more

Cayman suites was amazing. My husband and I got married at the beach in August and everyone who traveled from PA for our wedding stayed there. The staff was amazing and very friendly. They made sure everything was perfect and went out of their way to make us happy. We arrived with their front hotel sign welcoming our wedding party to the day of wedding, the sign had a congrats on it. The king size bedrooms were nice and comfortable for all the wedding stuff we had to bring with us. The bedroom was the best part! The bed was huge and comfortable. I am appalled at the customer service received Saturday at 1:27pm. I called to cancel my reservation and a man (Tom? He said it in a way I couldn't understand) answered the phone. I asked him what a simple question "what he $25 cancellation fee is used for". Instead of answering my question he kept saying "I can't help if Liz didn't explain it clearly". After asking a second time, he proceeded to give me attitude and just said he couldn't help me. I said thank you and he proceeded to hang up on me. For a hotel that wants to charge $500+ in Ocean City I would expect their customer service to be better than this. I just returned from Mexico and they have better prices and better customer service than this place. Don't waste your money!! We received absolutely deplorable service from the front desk staff and management after a stay here. Having planned the trip months in advance, we called to ask their policy on ESAs. Given that there is so much controversy and so much misuse of them, when not allowed we make other arrangements. Having called ahead and told everything would be great if we had our paperwork, we looked forward to the trip without any inkling of what lay ahead. Upon check in, the front desk staff was immediately rude, and told us there were absolutely no animals allowed in the hotel, regardless of designation. We tried to explain how we had called ahead and were told otherwise, but she was resolute on refusing. After this woman's vendetta became apparent, I decided to capture the event on my phone. We just stayed this past weekend and we loved the suite that we stayed in! We are a family of 5, which is a hard fit in a hotel... but the Cayman Suites had enough room for all of us.
