Their attitude and pleasant conversation made the start of our day so much more enjoyable. Jessica even made a special dinner plate for me to take up to the room for my traveling companion who had a wicked headache one morning. So appreciative of both of them. Speaking of dining, I loved the chef breakfasts that were prepared each morning. You received a menu on the table that specified the chef's selection that day. There was also a side table of fresh fruits, breads and juices to enjoy. You could then order a boxed lunch to be picked up by noon based on your selections from a separate menu listing. These meals were inclusive in your daily room charge. So convenient! Finally, they even had a "tea time" spread between 3-4pm, consisting of various teas and cookies, also complimentary. The hotel was completed in 1904 and has an old world feel to the entire inn. There is also a Guest House with several rooms just a short walk from the main house. Televisions are located in Room 12 and the Guest House only, as the establishment wants you to enjoy a relaxing stay where you can escape from life's hustle. It was a relaxing and enjoyable visit all around and I highly recommend a stay at this location if you are looking to unwind and relax.

The first day we had quiche and the second we had chocolate chip pancakes. All made fresh when you sit down and included sides, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. Really delicious and good quality and the staff were so nice. My husband is diabetic and they easily modified the options to meet his lower carb/sugar request. They also have daily evening tea with a sweet treat which is fun and coffee, tea, and lemon water are available all day and night. Our room was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos and the inn is so charming. Perfect landscaping, all common areas are so cute, and the location is to die for right on the beach, with access to the sand just steps from the lovely wrap-around porch. We were unlucky and it was basically a freezing Nor'easter the weekend we came, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach, the bikes, or any of the out door amenities - but we still found it charming and enjoyed both the Inn and the town. The fried whole fish was delicious but the take away stand out dish was the beet salad and the crab soup. Those were must haves. We called before we came and were told the pool was closed. However they noted beach towels were available and beach chairs and umbrellas would be available daily starting at 8am. When we arrived we found no beach towels were available (except for purchase). We clearly own beach towels and would have brought them had we not been misinformed. We were also told upon arrival that the beach chairs aren't available until 10 AM. However I decided to ask the actual chair and umbrella employees who informed me that the start time was actually 9 AM. The front desk didn't seem to care (or note) that they were repeatedly given out false information. With young kids, that hour makes a difference. The lobby bathrooms were poorly maintained (trash on the floors, dirty toilet seats, and no toilet paper to be seen). The breakfast had a vast variety of foods but they were rarely restocked so you weren't able to actually enjoy many of them. Coffee ran out multiple times. Also flies ruled the school at the buffet. The floors were sticky and it is very clear that the hotel is understaffed (oh, and the staff talk to you about it...incessantly) Covid has changed the game for many businesses but unfortunately the Marriott is nowhere near what is should be.

Both the living room and bedroom had WiFi TV with access to streaming services which I'm hoping will be a Hilton-wide requirement for properties soon. It was a combination of scrambled eggs, bacon pieces, cheese and potatoes on top. The potatoes weren't that warm, the cheese hadn't melted and it probably could have been reheated to ensure consistency throughout. Instead, the cleaning crew took the item (which we tracked every step of the way) and never returned them. We called multiple times to speak with the "local team" to simply have them be returned. Nothing. All we receive are generic replies from this overseas management company that they are "looking into it." On arrival, our coffee pot has a sign on it that it was broken. We reached out to the main number to ask if there was a replacement. They were extremely confusing and said one would be provided, then it was ordered, then it wouldn't show up until the following week. Not a huge problem, but we requested to at least be reimbursed for the money we spent out of pocket to go elsewhere and buy coffee. Again, they were "reaching out to the local team" to resolve this. Again, nothing. SeaColony may be a lovely organization to own, but I would not recommend renting from them. It is so pricey and to have these issues without even an attempt for resolution is crazy.
