In 2012 I booked 3 rooms for our family and stayed at this property, which was considered still fairly new. It was a decent stay but nothing unremarkable. Since then we have re-visited OC several years staying mostly at the Holiday Inn Suites where we dedicated a bench to my parents. 10 years later and on our 46th Anniversary, as a Titanium member we wanted to give it another try and I am so happy and pleased that this property had been totally renovated with GM Jill Douglas and a staff that are super friendly, young, energetic and provided great service with spacious rooms with a nice sized balconies, close to Starbucks and plenty of parking. A total and welcome change from 10 years ago!! On check-in, we were greeted by Maria on a Sunday and although we were early, Maria found an awesome room for us for the week we were there. She and her fellow front desk staff are more than just check-in and out. They take care of any questions, ensure you get what you need in the rooms and coordinate with the other departments. My appreciation for Maria, Danielle, Teri and their other colleagues. BTW fellow guests, although they don't seek or expect any gratuity, please remember they are very hardworking and extremely helpful so I hope you will remember to thank them with gratuities as we did them all during our stay. Housekeeping was awesome. Every other day service but if you need extra towels or anything else they are quick to show up..again please remember to take care of the folks who work hard to keep your rooms fresh and clean. There is a small fridge and microwave in each room which was quite handy. Along with the pool, hot tub, there is a small but has what you need gym and a very handy laundry room. The front desk will provide quarters but will provide complementary soap, a nice touch. The Captain's Table is a nice restaurant and their early bird specials are awesome. We went there for a few days and service was awesome. The Property is right on the boardwalk so easy access to all the sights and sounds and as I mentioned access to Starbucks and Dunkin a few blocks away. Parking is decent just be careful since everyone seems to be driving a SUV. Overflow is more than adequate and right across the street. We had a wonderful stay thanks to GM Douglas and her staff and we hope to re-visit next year should space be available. A definite strong recommendation.

Great Location on the boardwalk overall. So my family of four (mom/dad/twelve and seven) stay here during our annual OCMD trip. It started with needing a hotel that could accommodate my husbands need for workspace, and our over travel preferences. After trying some other local options we knew we needed a more brand experience with certain in room amenities. Location wise we were able to walk to the pier for action, hop to the beach, and grab food by foot with ease. We usually find parking in the hotel bottom level but rest assured worst case scenario their parking overflow is super close. The front desk ladies at checkin were awesome, so nice to my boys and showed them where the available snacks were. We have dined at the restaurant on site also which for breakfast was awesome and very convenient. Housekeeping took care of our rooms daily even though our schedules were unpredictable. Pro Tip splurge on the oceanfront balcony room. Views and nighttime boardwalk scenes are worth it.

Clean room, beach front but you still have to walk on the boardwalk to get to the beach. Parking spots are tight, if you have a large SUV, you may have to goto the alternative parking which is next to hotel which has wider spots. There is free coffee available from 6am to 9am and from 4pm to 9pm, i had coffee both times and the coffee was hot and very good. The indoor swimming pool, is small, kids were in the pool, way too loud and out of control, so skipped it all together. Got a clean room on 2nd floor, the hotel seemed kind of empty which is good. Not a lot to do on the boardwalk since the majority of restaurants and shops open up 4/8. Was a good quick get away, we were able to visit the town of Berkin, about 15 mins away from hotel. We found good lunch and or sinner options such as the sterling tavern. Would I come back to OC Maryland, probably not. Now back to my hotel, a courtyard is good enough for me, clean bed and a pretty nice room. I like that we had a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room. We enjoyed the tables in the lobby where you can watch TV while having coffee, we went to the point of going out to Laytons for donuts during the early morning of 4/4, after we watched the sunrise at the beach

I'm a born joy gold member and they only offered 1 extra hour for late checkout. I find that a bit strange since there's not a busy season. FYI if you're curious about late checkout. Enjoy

I have stayed here I believe 2 times before. I usually stay at a Marriott when I am in Atlantic City or Ocean City beaches. The Courtyard is nice. It is right on the beach. The rooms in the rear of the hotel have full beach view. This Courtyard by far has one of the nicest gyms and indoor pool I have seen. This location, because it is on the beach in OC is expensive. The restaurant at this location is the Captain's Table. It is a top notch restaurant with awesome service. If you visit here, ask for Pam. She will take care of you. The rooms are a nice size and the cleaning staff does an excellent job of maintaining the hotel and cleaning the rooms. Everyone here is really friendly. You cant go wrong stay here. Will visit again.

4 1/2 Stars. Located directly in front of the ocean boardwalk, this Courtyard is a category 9 and shares private residential units in the same building. Hotel guest receive complimentary covered parking and I checked in by the friendly manager before noon. He suggested several restaurants to dine - which was helpful. My large renovated modern room was on a upper floor, corner unit and included two connecting patios - each having spectacular ocean views. The hotel has an indoor pool, fitness center and one upper end restaurant - The Captain's Table, This hotel would be a great place during the summer - rates vary from the $120.00 to over $500.00 per night for peak days with ocean views.

We had a decent/okay stay here. Besides my view observing the construction going on at the neighboring hotel under construction, had to keep my blinds drawn shut most of the time. The room was a decent size. I would recommend the exhaust fans in the bathroom as that would eliminate some of the moisture in the room. Kept seeing gnats- so that was a bit annoying. And lastly, for the price of this Hotel, I was really disappointed with the size of the Pool. The cheap hotel on the other side, had an Olympic size pool lol. Oh.. the hotel needs bigger comforters to really cover the duvet cover..I kept waking up, and touching that thing.

I've been to Ocean City many, many times. I've always stayed in a "motel". It's been a long time since I had been there, but I wanted to take my husband because he had never been. Wow, has it grown up over the years. And, I had booked this hotel because it sounded nicer than the motels. What a very pleasant surprise. It's beautiful. The location is perfect, and the room was very nice and clean. We had a balcony (not oceanfront) so we could see the sun rise in the morning and we could see the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Because of COVID, there was no housekeeping, but if we needed anything, we just called and got it. My first time staying here definitely won't be my last.

Our first time in Ocean City.... also during Covid. The hotel is in a great location. Beachfront - right by the boardwalk. Lots of things to do in walking distance. The rooms were clean and spacious. Our room had a balcony which you could see the beach (but not oceanfront). The pool is nice. The glass doors around the pool open up so while it is indoor, you're able to relax outside. Nice concept. Gym is a decent size. The only thing that I wouldn't recommend is the restaurant. Food seemed overpriced for what it was. Parking is easy and accessible.... and free!

Plus late one night they were out smoking and you could hear their conversation from your bed while trying to sleep. One issue we had was at 5:30am the one morning the Hilton next door may have been doing renovations and a truck came to empty/pick up the flatbed dumpsters and of course that was extremely loud and woke us up. And it didn't stop there. Tons of deliveries until atleast 7:30am with the trucks backing up and constantly beeping. Again it's not the hotels fault but that made the whole day for us just miserable to the point we left that evening so we knew we could get a good nights sleep. It would just be nice if deliveries could start at the earliest 7am and I get it's off season but they should be respecting people who are there vacationing and still spending good money. I just know in the future to book an ocean front room hoping that won't wake us up again.

The included breakfast was below Hyatt standards. The bed is VERY comfortable and the sectional in our room which as it turns out is a pullout bed and it is also VERY comfortable, which is a surprise because usually the pull out beds in hotels are really not very good quality. There is a fridge in the room as well as a small, single serve coffee maker and a decent TV mounted on wall. I booked the hotel so that I could bring my mother to the Thunderbirds airshow, which has been on her bucket list for sometime now. Knowing it was on the sand and she's elderly I wanted to keep it as easy and enjoyable for her as I could so that's how I came here through some research via AI generated response responses to multiple questions that I had about where to go in the best place from which state of the airshow. The Hyatt Place Ocean City oceanfront, was one of the few hotels that came up as being one of the prime spots and indeed it was. It was in fact at show center. So much so that we could we hear the announcer who was actually just a little off to our left, narration and music in this phenomenal airshow. On the balcony, we had two Adirondack chairs and a table that were quite comfortable. Also good is the beach accessibility right out front of the hotel so that made it very convenient as well although we could not take advantage of that during the airshow because it was blocked off for those who had purchased tickets,- but knowing that it's there for the future is good. The not so good: The breakfast was OK nothing spectacular. I've had better eggs at other hotels and although there was a sign that said you could get mimosas or bloody Mary's from 9 to 11 no bartender ever showed up to the bar. I asked the front desk when I went we left breakfast and was told that the bar in the lounge did not open until 3 PM and if you wanted to get a drink, you went out to the pool bar. I kind of think there should be a sign that says something about that. Also when we got in last night during the show, I wanted to go grab a couple of drinks and a couple of snacks but when I went down to the lounge again, there was no bartender and when I asked, even though the website said that the lounge was open from 730 until 11 PM, I was told that there was nobody in the lounge bar and that I needed to go out to the pool in order to get food and drinks. However, out at the bar at the pool, I was told that she could not serve the drinks that they had posted in the elevator because those could only be served inside. On that note, back into the good category is the bartender out at the pool. Colleen. She was phenomenal! The drinks that she made were really good and I tried to get down later to get some more but unfortunately, I think I missed her and I think the pool bar closes at 7 PM. Nothing regarding hours at the lounge bar or at the pool bar are posted anywhere either on the website or here in the hotel. I think they would probably do a lot more business if they posted stuff on the website or told you when you checked in advising you when the bar was open both inside and at the pool. If nothing else, I would at least let the pool bartender fix the drinks that they advertise in the elevators if they're not going to open the bar until a certain time. In the category of not so good is the elevator here as well. The elevator is so ridiculously slow. I can't tell you how many times I waited numerous times to go down when it just kept going up. There are only two elevators in the hotel and it would take quite some time to try to get outside to get stuff from the car. As for the ugly: The parking here is really quite chaotic. I only saw a couple of handicap spots and I was traveling with my disabled mother. Fortunately, we were able to snag a spot right in front of the door that you go in to take the elevator up to the lobby. But otherwise the spots underneath the main hotel are minimal. There's another building adjacent to the Hyatt place that has some spots so at least there's that. On the website for the hotel you'll see what looks like a beach shop, which I was kind of excited about however, that is apparently an old picture and instead of a beach novelty shop we were met with an unpleasant lady from Franco's Bar on top of which the hotel sits swatting us away. Apparently whatever is beneath us, which actually looks like a cute little café or bistro is not operational. I'm not sure what the story is down there, but apparently it is part of Franco's pizza bar, which for the moment I am boycotting until I get over the nasty manner in which she treated us. Oh and we had a roach in our room- that wasn't great. And the TV remote didn't work right. Conclude: I always measure food and entertainment and attractions on the basis of "would I do it again". Here yes I would book at the Hyatt Pl., Ocean City oceanfront Hotel again for its convenience and very small but cozy and comfortable accommodations.

Right outside the beachside entrance to the pool is a bar and grill. You can walk out to the beach from The Atrium. There's a beach service available to rent chair, umbrellas, and cabanas. Multiple payment options are available. The suites overlooking The Atrium offer a great view of the pool, bars, and the floor to ceiling glass giving open sight lines to the beach. The room accommodations were very good. Very clean and spacious. There is parking on site in two areas: connected to the hotel, and across from the main entrance. It can be a nightmare to find convenient parking during the summer after hours. I found myself returning to the hotel shortly after dusk every day just to get a parking spot near the hotel entrance without having to park on the top level in the garage. During my stay, the parking lot connected to the hotel seemed to also be a storage space for the hotel, making for tight spaces in some areas. Nevertheless, on site parking is always a plus. Overall, a good experience at this hotel.

We like to mix up making our own meals and dining out so it worked for us. We had a room with an atrium balcony overlooking the ocean so got the best of both worlds. Only suggestion is to have a couple days of room service per stay. We needed fresh towels, trash removal and toilet paper by the 3rd day which was easy to take care of with the helpful cleaning staff.

I guess it would be exhausting to greet everyone that comes and goes through the front door that your management has put you 10 feet from...awkward, but they made that choice somewhere in the floorplan. The "thousand yard" traumatized stare of the young foreign bookends working the breakfast nook was a bit odd, but they were effecient and hard working. The breakfast is standard, there were hot items (meat, scrambled eggs, potato), oatmeal, cereals, fruit, also different breads and pastries. You would have to be pretty finicky to not find something to start the day. Coffee and tea are available 24/7, and they have a little pricey mini-market. Overall the place definitely has a dorm vibe to it. I haven't lived in a dorm in 45 years, so it had no particular appeal to me, but I wasn't bothered by it. There always seemed to be music playing, it wasn't too loud or anything, it felt a bit liked forced festivity. I could do without that. The room was large and clean, very spartan in setup which I kind of like. Minimal works. I don't need drawers but for some reasone because there weren't any I felt a bit deprived. I saw a review that mentioned storage, that must be a different kind of room. The shower was very good, hand wand and traditional shower head, good water pressure and hot. The wand has "thrust" sensation. The bed was comfortable enough, but not as good as other places I have stayed (I am a bit spoiled by my Marriott properties preference). I didn't book this, it was selected by travel team at my employer. We got a govt. rate for a conference I was attending, but still $325 a night [no way its worth that], location, in-season and conference in town. Yes corporate greed and price gouging is a thing. On third floor so no particular view, I had a sense of the ocean from my room window and understood the concept of the bay on the other side of the condos I could see from the elevator lobby window. I don't think I would choose Tru on my own dime, but a nice enough stay 13-17 AUG 2024.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and I loved the decor within the lobby. The room has plenty of storage and a desk area for your items. The bathroom is a nice size with hand soap, shampoo/conditioner and lotion are provided within the bathroom. The hotel is located right near a local bus stop, which is great when traveling to the boardwalk area. It was great to have a bus stop right at the hotel. What I didn't care for was the noises at night. It constantly sounded like someone was trying to open my room door, although I never saw anyone in the hallway and the AC was loud. It was noisy overall and hard to get a good nights sleep.
