Pros: -Superb view of the ocean, beach is downstairs -Free parking, and lots of it -Starbucks downstairs made me a solid matcha latte -Marlin Moon restaurant in the hotel has good food -Close to lots of restaurants -Clean -Reasonable price -Easy check in and out -Pool (with warm water) and hot tub, open even during off season! -Gym I didn't use but always nice to have the option Cons: -A bit far from the main part of the boardwalk -The bathroom lights and outlets stopped working during our one night stay. We let the front desk know on our way out and she seemed very unbothered.

Ocean Front Resort Hotel in Ocean City! Great Body surfing!

Wonderful Ocean Front Resort Hotel! One of my oldest friends reserved this "perfect place" for our reunion of four old men. We have all been friends since the 1960s! We try to get to gather annually now. The location is central in Ocean City. Our rooms were beach front and very well priced. The restaurant in the hotel offers a delicious happy Hour! I can't recommend it enough! The food was outstanding and the service was first class. We partied out on the patio as the sun set. We enjoyed a short walk to a variety of touristy restaurants and and activities. The liquor store next door has an excellent deli for lunch on the beach! The Double Tree offers top quality amenities, and wonderful, attentive service. Since the hotel is significantly smaller than the adjacent properties our beach was less crowded and the atmosphere was more chill. I would be delighted to come here every year!

We had a good time at this hotel. Despite there was a cheerleaders tournament going on. We were told by someone here. It didn't disturb us. We had a top level floor room away from it all. We were actually in town for a Mardi Gra themed Dinner concert in Salisbury. Which is about thirty minutes away. I wanted to stay in Ocean city and we selected an oceanfront room. The views were amazing. This room was fully equipped with cooking equipment. A stove full size refrigerator, microwave. Coffee was great in the room each morning. The bed was comfortable. The room was cleaned to my standards so I was impressed there. We also had a sofa and table to watch TV while winding down. Pretty good cable channel selections but who comes to Ocean City to watch a lot of tv right? Not with the balcony view here. This location also provides an indoor ramped parking garage. Which was free. Not sure if that works in season but we stayed off season and it was definitely free. The restaurant located in the hotel breakfast was very good. It was a separate fee for breakfast. They also have a Starbucks located in the lobby. I could see myself returning to this location again if I wanted to stay in OCMD. Lots of nearby eateries within walking distance.

After staying at the Hilton Oceanfront and suites the last few visits. We decided to try the double tree next to it. Price range here seems 300-500 compared to next door with most standard rooms 600-800 in season. These are prices with diamond guarantee.... Meaning that they are fully booked and save like one or two rooms for Diamond members. I will say that the rooms were nice and spacious. They had full kitchens and a large shower which is great for rinsing off sand! The gym had three cardio machines and dumbbells to 50lbs. The indoor pool has a nice whirlpool and was warm like a sauna. Probably due to the greenhouse effect from the atrium windows. The outdoor pool does the trick and the fire pit with the palms and sand is a nice touch. Marlin moon had solid food and it was nice to use the Hilton honors credit with the 20% off breakfast every morning. The breakfast buffet was great yo get the family fed early for morning beach time. We ordered from the lunch menu one afternoon and it hit the spot! The beach on 33 is great. It is never crazy busy. You can watch the surf events and classes on 36th from a high floor view. The location is prime. Walking distance from the boardwalk and most of the great restaurants. Anthony's for milk, ice cream, alcohol, and sandwiches. If you have young kids carousel, and oceanfront and suites has nice amenities. However both can be very crowded. If you want a smaller crowd and amenities that cater to young adults on up. Doubletree is definitely the better option.

Be careful what you wish for. Literally. I wanted to stay here for a while since I normally stayed next door at the larger Hilton. A night and day experience. Website photos a little deceiving especially size of pools. Finally made it in However this was a bust and I won't go back. It was not up to the Hilton chain standard of cleanliness. I checked into a very leaky room and it was downhill from there. The good thing was poolside location couldn't have been better for my kid. Bad side is there wasn't a better room available to move to. Management and maintenance WERE very responsive so that was also a good thing. The best part of the trip was the warm cookies and the jacuzzi jets!!

I just returned from OC, the room & view was nice (room 603). The front desk staff aren't welcoming. Ms Grace was very friendly everyday, greeted with a smile & always said enjoy your day. The front desk, they are bothered when asking questions. I wanted a late checkout, why do I need to check back on the day I check out and wait for housekeeping to call to say if it's okay. I never received the call so I just checked out at 11 am. Being a diamond member doesn't matter when you stay here. I wished we could use our F&B voucher at another Hilton property.

The Hotel of Horrors welcomed guests with a repugnant smell and an indoor pool overrun by algae and insects. The room was a chaotic mess with cobwebs, and the bathroom offered an impossible choice between toiletries and self-esteem. The AC unit and a persistent drilling noise created an agonizing symphony every two minutes. Unfazed staff provided no relief, and after enduring one night of comedy-worthy chaos, the guests fled. This hotel is the epitome of disastrous vacation spots, offering painful laughter and a unique experience in hospitality catastrophe. Ocean City in the winter time has more to offer than it did once upon a time. We found many good restaurants open even on a freezing cold weekend. This was my first time staying at this particular Doubletree hotel, and I really enjoyed my experience. The rooms felt fresh and clean, our ocean view was beautiful, and I liked having access to an in-room kitchen. The hot tub was large and was a perfect temperature for me. We visited it every day on our four-day weekend. My only complaint was the pool. We were told that it is heated, but it was far too cold to swim in, even for the children in our group. I'm not sure who thought that it was a good idea to place the pool in full view of the lobby, the parking garage, and the street, but I felt a little like a zoo animal on display. However, even that wouldn't have stopped me if the pool was comfortable. I looked longingly at the sparkling water and tried several times to get in, but I just couldn't do it. I would definitely visit this location again, but I might be more insistent next time about asking them to raise the temperature of the pool water.

Access to the beach it was just so relaxing , the bed was so comfortable you just melt right into it! Ugh I didn't want to leave !

There was a very social breakfast worker making his rounds through the crowd. Always nice to see a friendly face. The location is right next to the convention center. It was an easy drive to the big beach lot down the street and easy to get to Delaware and other bars. There was a parking lot at the hotel, we were not charged for parking. The bed is VERY comfortable and the sectional in our room which as it turns out is a pullout bed and it is also VERY comfortable, which is a surprise because usually the pull out beds in hotels are really not very good quality. There is a fridge in the room as well as a small, single serve coffee maker and a decent TV mounted on wall. I booked the hotel so that I could bring my mother to the Thunderbirds airshow, which has been on her bucket list for sometime now. Knowing it was on the sand and she's elderly I wanted to keep it as easy and enjoyable for her as I could so that's how I came here through some research via AI generated response responses to multiple questions that I had about where to go in the best place from which state of the airshow. The Hyatt Place Ocean City oceanfront, was one of the few hotels that came up as being one of the prime spots and indeed it was. It was in fact at show center. So much so that we could we hear the announcer who was actually just a little off to our left, narration and music in this phenomenal airshow. On the balcony, we had two Adirondack chairs and a table that were quite comfortable. Also good is the beach accessibility right out front of the hotel so that made it very convenient as well although we could not take advantage of that during the airshow because it was blocked off for those who had purchased tickets,- but knowing that it's there for the future is good. The not so good: The breakfast was OK nothing spectacular. I've had better eggs at other hotels and although there was a sign that said you could get mimosas or bloody Mary's from 9 to 11 no bartender ever showed up to the bar. I asked the front desk when I went we left breakfast and was told that the bar in the lounge did not open until 3 PM and if you wanted to get a drink, you went out to the pool bar. I kind of think there should be a sign that says something about that. Also when we got in last night during the show, I wanted to go grab a couple of drinks and a couple of snacks but when I went down to the lounge again, there was no bartender and when I asked, even though the website said that the lounge was open from 730 until 11 PM, I was told that there was nobody in the lounge bar and that I needed to go out to the pool in order to get food and drinks. However, out at the bar at the pool, I was told that she could not serve the drinks that they had posted in the elevator because those could only be served inside. On that note, back into the good category is the bartender out at the pool. Colleen. She was phenomenal! The drinks that she made were really good and I tried to get down later to get some more but unfortunately, I think I missed her and I think the pool bar closes at 7 PM. Nothing regarding hours at the lounge bar or at the pool bar are posted anywhere either on the website or here in the hotel. I think they would probably do a lot more business if they posted stuff on the website or told you when you checked in advising you when the bar was open both inside and at the pool. If nothing else, I would at least let the pool bartender fix the drinks that they advertise in the elevators if they're not going to open the bar until a certain time. In the category of not so good is the elevator here as well. The elevator is so ridiculously slow. I can't tell you how many times I waited numerous times to go down when it just kept going up. There are only two elevators in the hotel and it would take quite some time to try to get outside to get stuff from the car. As for the ugly: The parking here is really quite chaotic. I only saw a couple of handicap spots and I was traveling with my disabled mother. Fortunately, we were able to snag a spot right in front of the door that you go in to take the elevator up to the lobby. But otherwise the spots underneath the main hotel are minimal. There's another building adjacent to the Hyatt place that has some spots so at least there's that. On the website for the hotel you'll see what looks like a beach shop, which I was kind of excited about however, that is apparently an old picture and instead of a beach novelty shop we were met with an unpleasant lady from Franco's Bar on top of which the hotel sits swatting us away. Apparently whatever is beneath us, which actually looks like a cute little café or bistro is not operational. I'm not sure what the story is down there, but apparently it is part of Franco's pizza bar, which for the moment I am boycotting until I get over the nasty manner in which she treated us. Oh and we had a roach in our room- that wasn't great. And the TV remote didn't work right. Conclude: I always measure food and entertainment and attractions on the basis of "would I do it again". Here yes I would book at the Hyatt Pl., Ocean City oceanfront Hotel again for its convenience and very small but cozy and comfortable accommodations.

The hotel doesn't…read moreseem upscale from the curb, but upon entry to the lobby, the water displays, glass decor, and sterile color schemes give a Miami beach hotel feel. In true resort fashion, there are many amenities on site including dining, spa, leisure, indoor pool, etc. There's even a coffee shop, souvenir shop, and arcade on site. The indoor pool is perfect for non-beach goers and those simply wanting to enjoy the relaxation of indoor swimming. The pool is located at The Atrium where there is an indoor tiki bar and mini arcade. During my stay there was a live band performing in The Atrium which livened an otherwise gloomy beach day. Right outside the beachside entrance to the pool is a bar and grill. You can walk out to the beach from The Atrium. There's a beach service available to rent chair, umbrellas, and cabanas. Multiple payment options are available. The suites overlooking The Atrium offer a great view of the pool, bars, and the floor to ceiling glass giving open sight lines to the beach. The room accommodations were very good. Very clean and spacious. There is parking on site in two areas: connected to the hotel, and across from the main entrance. It can be a nightmare to find convenient parking during the summer after hours. I found myself returning to the hotel shortly after dusk every day just to get a parking spot near the hotel entrance without having to park on the top level in the garage. During my stay, the parking lot connected to the hotel seemed to also be a storage space for the hotel, making for tight spaces in some areas. Nevertheless, on site parking is always a plus. Overall, a good experience at this hotel.

We like to mix up making our own meals and dining out so it worked for us. We had a room with an atrium balcony overlooking the ocean so got the best of both worlds. Only suggestion is to have a couple days of room service per stay. We needed fresh towels, trash removal and toilet paper by the 3rd day which was easy to take care of with the helpful cleaning staff.

I guess it would be exhausting to greet everyone that comes and goes through the front door that your management has put you 10 feet from...awkward, but they made that choice somewhere in the floorplan. The "thousand yard" traumatized stare of the young foreign bookends working the breakfast nook was a bit odd, but they were effecient and hard working. The breakfast is standard, there were hot items (meat, scrambled eggs, potato), oatmeal, cereals, fruit, also different breads and pastries. You would have to be pretty finicky to not find something to start the day. Coffee and tea are available 24/7, and they have a little pricey mini-market. Overall the place definitely has a dorm vibe to it. I haven't lived in a dorm in 45 years, so it had no particular appeal to me, but I wasn't bothered by it. There always seemed to be music playing, it wasn't too loud or anything, it felt a bit liked forced festivity. I could do without that. The room was large and clean, very spartan in setup which I kind of like. Minimal works. I don't need drawers but for some reasone because there weren't any I felt a bit deprived. I saw a review that mentioned storage, that must be a different kind of room. The shower was very good, hand wand and traditional shower head, good water pressure and hot. The wand has "thrust" sensation. The bed was comfortable enough, but not as good as other places I have stayed (I am a bit spoiled by my Marriott properties preference). I didn't book this, it was selected by travel team at my employer. We got a govt. rate for a conference I was attending, but still $325 a night [no way its worth that], location, in-season and conference in town. Yes corporate greed and price gouging is a thing. On third floor so no particular view, I had a sense of the ocean from my room window and understood the concept of the bay on the other side of the condos I could see from the elevator lobby window. I don't think I would choose Tru on my own dime, but a nice enough stay 13-17 AUG 2024.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and I loved the decor within the lobby. The room has plenty of storage and a desk area for your items. The bathroom is a nice size with hand soap, shampoo/conditioner and lotion are provided within the bathroom. The hotel is located right near a local bus stop, which is great when traveling to the boardwalk area. It was great to have a bus stop right at the hotel. What I didn't care for was the noises at night. It constantly sounded like someone was trying to open my room door, although I never saw anyone in the hallway and the AC was loud. It was noisy overall and hard to get a good nights sleep.
