    Fajita de Camerones
    Andre S.

Why does this fajita not have any taste? When this first came out with no sizzle, that should have been a clue, but I tried it and it was the blandest fajita I've tasted. I hope everything else tastes better, but this item isn't good at all.

This is the second time my husband and I have been and we don't think we'll ever go again. Our waiter was very nice and would give him a five 5, but our food and hot sauce were lacking. I had Hawaiian fajitas and I'm not sure, but not only did they not look appetizing, it didn't taste good to me as well. The beef, which I usually really like, tasted like there was no seasoning on it and somewhat chewy. My husband thought they might've already pre-cooked it, and set the meat in a steamer, but whatever the case, to me, the chicken tasted better and what little bit of pineapple there was tasted good. Also, I think it's the first fajitas that I've ever ordered that they didn't come to me sizzling! ‍ I left a good portion of it there and asked my husband, do you usually see me leave this much and he said "No, I do not." I like a quality shrimp, but it just wasn't there for me with their Hawaiian fajitas. I did enjoy my rice and the guacamole was okay, but outside of that, it tasted fairly blah! I'm also a salsa connoisseur, and ask for both of the ones they had, and really liked neither of them. We went to a restaurant earlier this week and I ate a large bowl of their salsa with a spoon, but just really didn't like either one of the ones this restaurant offered. My husband ordered cheese enchiladas, and he would give his a two 2 . He said there was a combination on the side of lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, and cheese and he wondered what he was supposed to do with that in relation to his cheee enchiladas. He described the taste of his cheese enchiladas as if it were an afterthought. Needless to say, outside of our waiter, it was an underwhelming experience. We don't plan on going there again and really wish it would've tasted good.

Service was incredibly fast, although it could just be because I ate there around 3pm, there was a wide assortment of food that was also pretty cheap for its quality and quantity, I especially liked the grilled vegetables I got, although I do wish I got more beans with it. The building itself was pretty nice, and had a surprisingly good bathroom compared to what I expected. It was fairly empty, but again, I was there at an odd hour of the day.

Taqutio street taco. Ask for all flavors. Non disappoint

I'm in taco bliss! Cali style. Green sauce on point! Highly recommend. Everything was delish

Stopped by on the way to Dallas. Pleasantly surprised. Great Chili Verde and the appetizer Chicken Quesadilla was enough for my meal. The skillet queso with brisket was 5*!! The salsa was a little sweet with some good spice. Our group loved everything. Staff was friendly & fast. Will be be returning.

I really enjoyed the food and the people were nice. Although they had a little trouble understanding that I wanted cheese on my taco.

Montrose, CO is a kicking town - lots of traffic, people on the move, it was a pretty warm day in early July. This cafe is downtown right off the main drag with a corner location. At the time of our visit there was quite a bit of street and sidewalk renovation going on. Reviews sounded pretty good for the place, so we parked and walked on over. Greeted and told to sit anywhere. The lunch crowd was coming in and the place was starting to fill up with what looked to be workers from local businesses as well as family groups and friends meeting up. We placed our orders and sat around watching the people and talking. Husband ordered a quesadilla, and I ordered a torta. i must admit the torta was smaller than i expected and I could tell the waitress thought i'd made a mistake by not ordering more for lunch ... i agreed at first. I ate the torta, there was pico de gallo and such to go along with it. The husband passed me a slice of his quesadilla (it was good) and surprisingly it was all enough. Nice. Went to the bathroom (there's 2) and it was clean and nice sized. Paid the bill, walked on out.

By far the best I have had in a long time. It will always be our new stop on the way between Fort Smith and DFW. I don't even leave reviews on things like this but I was just super excited to finally find something worth eating in McAlester (and open on a Sunday evening no less!). PS. My son had the Al Pastor tacos and said it was the best Al Pastor he has ever had.

Authentic Mexican in Durant, Oklahoma?! Check out: El Kanelo!…read more My wife and I were in Durant, Oklahoma, attending an early evening Graduation at Southeastern Oklahoma State (Go Savage Storm!). We got to town mid-afternoon and had worked up an appetite chatting about Tacos and Shrimp dishes on our 2 hour drive up from Dallas, Texas. We spotted an unassuming Mexican cafe called El Kanelo (Cinnamon) on 729 N. First Street, and stopped in, not confident we would like the place & food. We were swiftly seated in a large booth, ordered water with lemmon (for which we weren't charged) and were brought crispy chips and fresh, home-made, chunky red salsa. The decor was traditional Mexican with dark wooden benches and tables adorned with colorful Mexican pottery back boards. My wife ordered the Steak (strips) Fajita dish ($15.99) and I ordered the Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo (suateed shrimp in garlic, olive oil and citrus juice) ($15.59). Both (large) dishes were brought out within 15 minutes sizzling hot, with richly seasoned aroma of lightly burned peppers. My shrimp was tender, not overcooked and smothered in richly flavored garlic butter. My wife's ample steak fajita's were served on a bed of onions, bell peppers (paprika) and piping hot yellow squash slices. Here is our verdict: Ambiance & Service: 3.5 stars Food Presentation & Quality: 4 stars Food Texture & Taste: 5 stars Quantity & Value: 4.5 stars Overall, an exceptional experience. We each left with a to-go box filled to the rim! We are already planning to go back this summer. Put El Kanelo in Durant, Oklahoma (10 minutes North of the Texas state line) on your road trip list!

I had the combination meal and they substituted the rice with refried beans. Personal preference Service was excellent and the margaritas were not as sweet as you sometimes get, so thinking they use a different mix They were okay and would consider the pitcher option next time The Ambiance was typical Mexican restaurant decor. Once seated hard to tell one from the other but it works. Will be back

If you're looking for an upscale restaurant with amazing décor... this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a restaurant with good food, great service, and large portions... look no further. Based on reviews we decided to get an order of Fajita's and split them. This was a good decision. We ended up getting the single chicken Aloha Fajitas. The portion size is huge. Even splitting an order, we had left overs. We ended up taking them with to my sisters and eating the rest as left overs with her the next day. We verified we did not get a double. The Fajitas were deliciously amazing. The vegetables were firm, but still soft. The chicken was cooked perfect. It was juicy with a nice char to it. The flavor combination combining the sweetness of the pineapple with the spice of the jalapenos and saltiness of the bacon mixed perfectly with the onions, green peppers and chicken. If, like me, you are not a huge fan of pineapple, don't worry, the flavor is not overpowering, it adds a sweetness with just a hint. It's not overpowering, and it's easy to avoid the chunks of pineapple if you don't want to eat it on it's own. Our only issue was the bathrooms, they were dirty and didn't appear to be well maintained. The partitioned off area they were in was being used for storage making it hard to maneuver. Overall, we had a great experience as Villegas. Our service was fantastic, and the meal was memorable. Just remember that when ordering, keep the portion size in mind. I would give it five stars for food alone, but that would not be accurate of the overall experience.
