Decided to stop for a quick lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't very busy and pretty quiet. We were seated quickly. The complimetary chips were fresh and crunchy. The salsa was fine, but very watery. This is the second time my husband and I have been and we don't think we'll ever go again. Our waiter was very nice and would give him a five 5, but our food and hot sauce were lacking. I had Hawaiian fajitas and I'm not sure, but not only did they not look appetizing, it didn't taste good to me as well. The beef, which I usually really like, tasted like there was no seasoning on it and somewhat chewy. My husband thought they might've already pre-cooked it, and set the meat in a steamer, but whatever the case, to me, the chicken tasted better and what little bit of pineapple there was tasted good. Also, I think it's the first fajitas that I've ever ordered that they didn't come to me sizzling! ‍ I left a good portion of it there and asked my husband, do you usually see me leave this much and he said "No, I do not." I like a quality shrimp, but it just wasn't there for me with their Hawaiian fajitas. I did enjoy my rice and the guacamole was okay, but outside of that, it tasted fairly blah! I'm also a salsa connoisseur, and ask for both of the ones they had, and really liked neither of them. We went to a restaurant earlier this week and I ate a large bowl of their salsa with a spoon, but just really didn't like either one of the ones this restaurant offered. My husband ordered cheese enchiladas, and he would give his a two 2 . He said there was a combination on the side of lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, and cheese and he wondered what he was supposed to do with that in relation to his cheee enchiladas. He described the taste of his cheese enchiladas as if it were an afterthought. Needless to say, outside of our waiter, it was an underwhelming experience. Service was incredibly fast, although it could just be because I ate there around 3pm, there was a wide assortment of food that was also pretty cheap for its quality and quantity, I especially liked the grilled vegetables I got, although I do wish I got more beans with it. I had the Chile Colorado. It was excellent with a deep, complex flavor. Unfortunately the place did not have a "vibrant atmosphere." I sat at the bar which was dirty and had a child booster seat resting on top of the bar next to me. There was a box of Minute Rice behind the bar. I ordered an Estrella beer. Very nice. My server left the beer cooler open and I proceeded to watch three other employees walk past the open cooler without bothering to close it. We asked if they had a "hot" version and they brought it out. It was HOT. Very nice to have some flavor! Chips were fine. Queso tasted just like melted white American cheese. (No extra - no less.) Service was fast and friendly. Price was usual for Oklahoma Mexican food dine-in. Restaurant was clean. I happened to see a billboard with Cazadorez Mexican Restaurant. So, that's where we went. There wasn't a lot of cars in the parking lot, but it was only 3:30pm. I'm so glad we stopped here! Their margaritas are great!!! The salsa was a little too spicy for us. It would have been perfect for our youngest son and daughter in law. I had the fajita quesadilla with beef and chicken with rice and beans. This quesadilla was outstanding!!! Add some verde to the day! On an impulse trip to wander the Atoka area we stopped into a busy little place called Cazadorez for dinner and found a delicious meal. Trying to find something a little different to eat from their expansive menu we ordered the Stuffed Avocados and Enchiladas Rancheras to share. The Enchiladas Rancheras are corn tortillas filled with cheese and topped with tasty slow cooked pork. The pictured order was topped with verde instead of the usual enchilada sauce because in SE Oklahoma not all Mexican restaurants have verde. The Stuffed Avocados were perfectly ripe bright green avocado halves topped with grilled steak and shredded cheese. A wonderful char on the perfectly seasoned fajita type beef complimented the smooth and creamy avocados. The small diced jalapeños in the pico de gallo offered a little heat as well. The rice was the only side we had. It was good yet not my favorite, but not many restaurants can ever compare to my grandmas. A little more salt, onion, and cumin would make it a little more flavorful. The complimentary chips and salsa were also good, with thick freshly cooked chips and a tasty salsa with a perfect heat. My first chip was stale but tried another and the rest were fit to gobble down. They also offer bottled "Mexican" Coca-cola with pure cane sugar which tastes better than the usual. If you're like me where tea is important then you'll be pleased with a fresh brewed tea that meets an expectation for a southern level of sweet. It was a busy night with nearly every table filled but it was still quiet enough in our booth to enjoy conversation. Comfortable low lighting and not too noisy. The service was also great with pleasant and quick service even during a busy dinner rush. There's plenty more less typical items on the menu to try and with great service we'll wander back for another visit. read more

I ordered enchiladas. How hard could that be. He asked if I wanted red sauce or queso. I felt he mean like hot sauce and I said queso. When he brought me my enchiladas they both, beef and cheese, had queso. The beef was terrible. Rice was a little crunchy. And to top it off, I went to the restroom and a roach fell from the ceiling into the sink in front of me from a disgusting vent in the ceiling. I would never eat there again!! read more

Stopped on the way through town. Queso was good. Enchiladas, tacos, and Chile relleno are the best in town. They were busy and service was slow. The hero of the day was CESAR. While our waiter was busy Cesar jumped right in, filled drinks, brought salsa, and made the evening a great experience. He is young but has a great work ethic and is a tremendous asset to the business. This kid is destined for greatness - - - yes, he was that good.
