In our particular case, things did not work out well, however. In particular, we had to have him move between several jobs in the course of a week for various reasons. He was getting paid by the hour ($35 to be exact) so this should have not have been an inconvenience. But it triggered something. He immediately quit and drove off. The next day we went to one of the job sites (to which he had a key) and found it totally vandalized. The ceiling tiles he had put in were all torn down and the floating floor he had installed was indeed floating--in water because the injector pump had been turned off and the water left running. The police were sympathetic but too busy with worse things to pursue it. We had seen his anger in action before but we can't say for sure what happened at that job site.
