These folks are very professional. They did exactly what they said they would do, on time and at a reasonable cost. In contrast LG Shower & Mirror in San Mateo promised on three occasions to come out and provide a quote for our glass shower repair. They never did and estimated the job over the phone at more than 3 times the cost that I paid CB. CB also showed me how I could do the repair next time on my own. read more

The guys made us shower enclosure for the steam shower and wall mirror with cutouts for the scones. Price was great, they did price-matching to the other company for the mirror. Did all the measurements and installation. Great communication. No pressure to upgrade. Give info on what you need. Gave me a great advise, when what I planned could have issues. Have different options for the handles and hinges. Had all the options we wanted. We used diamond fusion option^ looks like it works! Since the walls were not very even, a gap occurred. They promptly came up with solution to fix it. The only con: they say they are not responsible to fix cracks in the glass tile during hinges installation. I wish they would have someone able to handle this: I plan to install another shower door without having general contractor around, so it would be handy. Overall after 2 years of construction they are in a list of few I would recommend to a friend, unlike general contractor who recommended them. read more

I have worked with many glass companies in the past. This is the first, where mis- measurements happened three times in a row for a simple cabinet door and RAZOR blades were left on a job where children lived. You go to small companies for a personal touch and to help support the local economy. There are other glass companies in the area that are better, more considerate, no attitude, and people who know how to use a tape measure. BUT most important ,SAFETY has to be considered and this company does not get it done. read more

I have been very pleased with my experience with CB Showers. I happened to see their truck in the neighborhood so called them to remove and replace glass on a tub. They send an estimator very promptly. His input was very valuable and helped me to rethink the best way to change the enclosure and to choose the right approach that was also more economical. I received a quote in a timely manner and scheduled the work - they were able to schedule us more quickly than I expected. Today Hugo and Victor came over to do the work. They were exactly on time and where really nice to work with. They did a very thorough job, executing the changes really well and actually it came out better than I had hoped. They additionally left the work area extremely clean and tidy which I really appreciated. I would definintely call this company again. read more

UPDATE: I'm not a big user of Yelp but, this experience has made me a believer that it can work - for the customer and the business. I've talked with CB Showers and discussed the situation. A miscommunication &/or misunderstanding between Jamie (the customer service rep) and the stockroom led to me getting info that was not entirely correct. I am happy to report that CB Showers is now going to order the plastic washers I need and provide them at no cost. I'm just waiting to hear back from them about delivery time. Even if they tell me it will take 6-8 weeks to get the parts, at least I know they are on their way and I'm not wasting time looking for them elsewhere. And, I suspect that CB Showers will now keep a backup supply of this part. Plus, the supplier will get valuable feedback from CB Showers that the quality of this little plastic washer could probably be improved. So, I think everyone comes out ahead with this resolution. In 2002 we purchsed new shower doors and mirrors. They are beautiful and installed professionally. Thier people were amazing. We just encountered a small problem with one of the doors and they came right out and fixed the problem without a charge. This is the great company. The estimator was very knowledgeable, courteous, and pleasant to deal with. They were very flexible with scheduling an appointment. They put a rash on my order for no charge. The door was ready long before I expected it. Installers came early on the scheduled time, were very fast installing the door and spent time with me explaining how to take care of the door. The door looks great! The company followed up the next day to find out how everything went. From the very beginning that I made a phone call to this company to the very end, it was absolutely wonderful experience. I don't have a finished shower door yet to review, so my review is more about our experience with them. Our contractor uses this company for glass shower enclosures, so we've mostly had contact with them via our contractor. When we got to the measuring stage of our project, we were told CB would be out the following week (it was a least 7 days, possibly even 10), just to do the measuring. After having the shower measured, I then asked how long the turnaround time would be and was told 2 weeks. It ended up being 3 full weeks until our shower door came in. When the day finally came, however, we found out the glass had been mis-measured. This was extremely frustrating considering how long we'd already waited for the glass to arrive. On top of that, they also had our bathroom mirror with them that day, but "ran out of time to install it," so in addition to having no shower, we also had no mirror because they managed their time poorly. Still, mistakes happen, but then I would expect CB to try to make it right promptly. Instead, mirror installation was scheduled for 4 business days later, and the new shower glass was *hopefully* arriving in the shop a week later. Well, the glass did NOT arrive the following Friday, and instead we were told it would be the following Tuesday, for a Wednesday install. So Wednesday finally comes and when I arrived home, we still had no shower door. I called our contractor and was told they brought the wrong glass to the house and would be back the next day. So to sum up our wait: a week+ to get the shower measured, 3 weeks for the first mis-measured glass to arrive, and now nearly 2 weeks later and *hopefully* we'll have a properly fitted shower when I arrive home. I think this is exorbitant amount of time to wait, and I think when you make a mistake, you should try to fix it in a timely manner. Not impressed with the lack of service here. read more
