I was running late due to traffic and didn't realize they closed at 5 PM. I called ahead to let them know I'd probably arrive a little after closing, and Mike told me not to worry and that he would wait for me. When I finally got there, Mike tested the speaker and told me there was actually nothing wrong with it. What really impressed me was his honesty. I had already taken it to another place, and their solution was simply to buy a new speaker. Mike could have easily tried to sell me a repair or charge me for his time, but instead he was upfront and said everything checked out fine. To top it off, he didn't even want to charge me for inspecting it. That's the kind of integrity that's hard to find these days. Afterward, we ended up talking about cars and Harleys for a bit, and it was clear he's just a genuinely down-to-earth guy who enjoys helping people. I truly appreciate honest businesses and good people, and Mike is both. My sister's wedding was in December and he took 4 months to contact us with any updates about the video, and it took another month to get the first cut. My sister sent him notes to edit that cut and he said he farmed out the editing to a third party and they deleted the footage, so they wouldn't be able to fix it. This was NOT what was discussed or written in our contract. One of the major reasons we picked Erick and his team was because we wanted the people editing to be familiar with the wedding party and family, so those people could be showcased in the edit. Obviously that's not what happened. I'm currently trying to get him to re-edit the video himself or just give us a refund so I can get someone else to edit it, but of course, he's ghosting us. Incredibly unprofessional. Very much a bait and switch scam. He tries to make you feel bad for him because he's "put so much time and money into your project," but, ummm.... we put a lot of time and money into his services and into THE WEDDING, so it's not that much to ask for a courtesy response. Unacceptable.
