Bethany is a great trainer and an amazing person. As soon…read moreas I got my rambunctious Aussie boy Bear at 8 weeks old, we had our first lesson in the PhDogs training field. She is extremely knowledgeable with puppy raising and socialization. We did a mixture of group classes and private lessons once Bear graduated puppy class. With Bethany's help, Bear has built a super solid foundation for sports and useful life skills. Bethany is a good problem solver. She often has creative solutions to curb behavior problems. Her methods are practical for real life situations and she listens to her clients well. Now that my boy is all grown up, we go to PhDogs for their awesome dock diving pool. The process of booking and using the pool is easy. Bear is always so excited to go there. When we occasionally go out of town, PhDogs is the only place I can trust to care for my high drive, intact boy. They also offer swimming lessons during the dog's stay. Bethany actually taught Bear how to swim when he was there for boarding :) I highly recommend PhDogs!!!

I own a puppy from this breeder, and I also rent their pool several times a year. The entire pool rental process is seamless, you simply text to reserve your time, show up, and it's just you and your dog for your entire session. The pool is always clean, well-maintained, and extra long, making it perfect for dogs that love to jump and swim. Whether you're looking for a quality dog, training, or a private place to work your dog in the pool, PH Dogs is definitely worth checking out!

SO MANY GREAT THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE. If you want to feed your dog right or have questions about…read morewhat you can feed your dog in place of crap, go here and Linda will surely answer every question possible. Not only does this store offer dog food (meats made ONLY for dogs that are free-range animals, no hormones, antibiotics etc) but they offer human food for vegetarians. She has fake meats, vitamins, oils. A smaller version of Clark's. The stuff is pricier but the quality is better. She has been my mentor in changing my dog's diet from kibble to cooking full-blown meals for my pup. Linda also offers EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), a type of therapy I recommend. She does classes the 2nd Saturday of every month and private classes. Her big thing is puppy/adult classes for dogs. However, she insists using clicker training and you must go through her basic clicker training class to be in the group classes.

Using clickers, the puppy is first taught the meaning of a word before it is used as a command. Kindness teaching is not only positive reinforcement but also understanding and respecting the "dog's point of view." Problem solving is accomplished by properly defining the problem and setting up new rules. The rules are then carefully taught to the dog before they are enforced. This allows the dog to still do his doggy things within the family's guidelines.
