    Great pic sent from Emily!

Emily is great. We had a new puppy Leo that needed lots of training. She assisted with every step from start to finish. Leo even got a refresher week for a follow up to his potty training. He such a good boy now even though he is still spoiled. It's so nice to go away and know he is in great hands. He absolutely loves his time there!!! Would highly recommend to anyone that needs a great trainer! Emily also sends a ton of videos and pictures daily that are so fun!

My 9 month old puppy just finished her 3 week board and train. She came home with a completely different demeanor. She now is confident to go on walks and out in public. She stopped jumping on the counter and in people. She learned how to "stay," "come," and most importantly how to waiter an open door instead of running outside. I'm so incredibly impressed with Emily. She is professional, communicative, and thorough. When she dropped off my puppy she stayed for 3 hours to teach me all the cues and answered all of my questions. She also made herself available for follow up questions after she left. I really loved the daily videos and pictures of her training. Emily also sent tutorial videos of her training. I highly recommend her services.

Oro waiting for the next command.

We've known Emily since late 2020. She has trained our two Mastiffs. More recently, we had an American Bulldog that went through training with her including a three night overnight. I see her now about 1-2 times a month for my male mastiff. Emily is kind, patient, and will love your dog as her own. My dogs still love her, when she comes over for additional training, they go crazy. I think this speaks to the bond she creates with dogs. As with any dog training, different dogs proceed at different speeds. Emily gauges what is best for your dog and implements it. Recently we have been working on impulse control with my male mastiff. He is 150lbs. of love but stubborn. Emily's education has helped me train him in a way that he now listens (most of the time) and doesn't jump on people anymore. Remember though, you have to implement exactly what she tells you to do and be consistent. Your dog will respond, and you will gain a new freedom with a dog that minds you yet still retains its character. We cannot recommend Emily highly enough. She's become part of our extended family.

She asked me if Finn was allowed on couches and I said yes so she also allowed him on hers. She makes sure to ask first.

We've been going to that other "smart" store for over five years to have our dog's nails trimmed…read more Ever since, they've told us that we can just walk in and they will do the trim. The most we've ever had to wait is about 15 to 20 minutes. Today, was no different, walked in at 10:15a, let them know that we needed a nail trim, the associate said that the earliest they can get us in was not till 12 PM without an appointment. An appointment? I explained to them that in the five years we've been going to them for nail grinds (which is pretty frequent) we've never had to make an appointment. That's when she said that making appointment has always been in place. So, I walked out, came over to The Good Dog. The General Manager greeted us, even while working with another customer. Listening how he handled the other two customers in front of us (who appeared to be regulars) set the tone that this is a friendly place that we want to be a part of. You know, it's like "Cheers," you wanna go where everyone knows your name! Well, they were able to get us in right away. They advised we typically do not need to make an appointment for nail grind, but to simply call up to make sure they are not busy at the moment, otherwise can get in quickly. I think that's reasonable, fair enough AND smart! "Thanks, Good Dog!"

They offered medical wipes for my dog's injury and a complete re-grooming with a different groomer. I chose not to continue patronage, but the offer and continued open communication was very appreciated. Original Review: This is the first time I've been to this location and decided to go here due to the large number of good reviews. They were able to fit my appointment in very last minute, less than 24hrs notice, super friendly staff, and lots of merchandise. Also great cut options avaliable for someone new, trying to figure out what a new groomer can do with a new client. Asked them to brush his teeth and grind his nails, to which they accomplished (at least his breath smells better). With that said, I was told they would contact me 20 minutes before he's ready for pickup, they did not. They messaged me when he was done. No big deal. When I picked him up, immediately noticed the uneven cut job. As we're driving home, noticed A BUNCH of dirt left in his coat. Makes me question if they bathed him, and if they did, they didnt do a good thorough job. Also started to notice the uneven cut throughout his body, from his stomach where they left bunches of fur, to his back, which seemed as though they used two sizes for razors. They cut him (most likely by accident) but just reinforces my suspicion that they rushed through his entire "grooming". For the $100 package, counting $15 for dental/nail grinding, I can't say I'm not disappointed. Unfortunately, will not be coming back. Sincerely disappointed :( I will have to bathe him again, give him a complete haircut, and finish areas they didnt even attempt too, such as the hair under his nose going into his mouth.

Since he was a puppy, Rocky struggled with allergies and recurring skin issues that worsened over time, leading to multiple rounds of antibiotics that we later realized were hard on his gut. He was getting other side effects from the aftermath of the medications. Allie helped us take a more proactive approach, focusing on healing his gut and addressing the root causes instead of just managing symptoms. She always has thoughtful solutions and backup options to help manage flare-ups without immediately turning to antibiotics. I appreciate her insight so much during those times where we just want to give Rocky some relief. She's also educated us on raw feeding, ingredient quality, food processing, and supplements, which has been incredibly valuable. Allie is so thorough, caring, and genuinely invested in our dogs like they are her own. We trust her completely and are so grateful for the positive impact she's had on Rocky's health. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for not just a trainer, but a true partner in their dog's well-being.

Testimonial for Allie owner of Rogue K9 Academy - A Life-Changing Experience…read more My in person experience with Rogue K9 Academy has been nothing short of exceptional--truly rewarding and life-changing for both my girls, Kat and Athena, and for me. Both of my dogs are Belgian Malinois rescues: Kat was adopted at around 8 months old, and Athena came to me at just 8 weeks. Before finding Rogue K9, I worked with two different trainers who both immediately resorted to using e-collars--without any foundational training. Kat, who had already endured a difficult time in the shelter, became compliant but fearful. I was told more than once that because of her history, Kat wouldn't be able to achieve much and would be difficult to train. It was heartbreaking to see training become something she feared. Everything changed when I found Rogue K9 Academy. To my relief, we didn't start with an e-collar. Instead, I was introduced to the Foundation Style Dog Training (FSDT) program. This method allows training to focus on building a strong, trusting relationship first and gradually working up from basic obedience to advanced skills. Through this program, not only did my dogs gain confidence, but I learned how to understand them better--especially Kat. Slowly but surely, my girls began to flourish. It brings me overwhelming joy to see how much they've grown--not just in their skills but in their overall happiness and confidence. Perhaps the most incredible part of our journey is that Kat, once thought to be untrainable and "too damaged" to succeed, is now a trained protection dog. I am forever grateful to Rogue K9 Academy for their guidance that helped me build a deep, trusting bond with my girls that I never imagined possible.

Emily is equally wonderful--warm, compassionate, and supportive throughout the entire process. They both clearly love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. When I started, my almost 3-year-old pug mix, Fifi, struggled with barking, reactivity, separation anxiety, and had no reliable recall or response to commands. I was feeling overwhelmed, and even being at home had become stressful. While the training journey had its challenges, especially as a first-time dog owner with no prior experience, Chloe and Emily were there to guide and support me every step of the way. Their patience and encouragement gave me the confidence to keep learning alongside Fifi. The one-on-one sessions each week were invaluable, giving me the opportunity to receive real-time feedback in a supportive, judgment-free environment. The improvement in Fifi has been amazing. She's so much calmer, listens to commands, and we can finally take her out without worrying she'll bark at every person we pass. We actually enjoy our walks now, and even life at home is so much more relaxed. I can't thank Chloe and Emily enough for giving me the tools and confidence to help Fifi thrive. Rooted Dog Training exceeded our expectations.
