Darius Chan is fantastic. After a car wreck nearly totalled by car and I went through a year of medical treatment, I was finally at the stage of settling with the insurance of the guy that hit me, but the adjuster was lowballing me. After listening to the costs that both I and my passenger incurred, Darius Chan gave me great advice on what a reasonable settlement would be during a *free* phone consultation. He gave me ballparks of what I could get on my own, and what he could get if he represented me (minus his fees). He ultimately advised me of the minimum $ amount I should expect on my own, and if the insurance wouldn't meet or exceed it then he'd take the case. He is trustworthy, and he knows what he's doing. The only thing they're capable of doing is charge/taking all your money but they aren't capable of helping/doing anything for you. Straight up horrible! They would accept your case and say it's all good but they don't do anything to help. One example, he met up with the opposing lawyer, wasted the whole day and charged me $2000, he didn't say a single word to the opposing lawyer and two days later he told me to sell my house to pay him.... straight up nonsense. I want to first say Darius fought for me in Court and won on a highly disputed matter. Second, he is very professional, knowledgeable and works hard for his clients. I've used large firms in SF and NY in the past and must say that I was much more impressed with Darius' work product than I was with the larger firms that charge an arm and leg. Specifically, in my case the judge had a preliminary ruling against me due to a highly disputed matter. Darius challenged that decision in court and presented compelling legal precedents through his extensive research to the judge that he over turned the judge's initial ruling and ended up winning the case for me. Any lawyer would agree over turning judge's initial ruling and getting the judge to rule in his/her favor is known to be very difficult to achieve.
