0 Stars. I called to seek assistance with obtaining a subpoena and possible representation in court and was frequently cut off by the paralegal (Amsara I believe was her name). She was pleasant but just not at all hearing me. It took several times of me repeating what I needed in order to get her to get me to an Attorney. I mentioned that my issue is with a neighbor and I described my appearance to hear (6'5" black male) and she interjected and stated that I "probably intimidated" my neighbor. When I mentioned that I found it strange for her to say that. She then said "well I just mean your stature". Intimidation is an action, and not an appearance. People can "feel" intimidated by someone based on appearance but to actually "be" intimidate requires an action. Anyway, I finally got transferred to Corey Pollak who is an attorney at this firm, and right as I say my name and get into why I'm calling, he says "let me just jump in here and tell you that I'm overwhelmed and can't take on your case." Extremely unprofessional and unwilling to hear me out. Also, if you're truly overwhelmed with work (which I can understand) why wouldn't the folks answering the phone for you know that? So that they might communicate that to people calling in looking for help. I don't have a lot of experience seeking legal advice (thankfully) but this firm seems terrible. They have a few five star reviews which was what led me to call. Maybe I just don't fit whatever image or profile they prefer to represent. If you're black or anything remotely close to black appearing, stay away from this place! They won't hear you and won't help you! read more

Had this guy do a living trust and i misplaced it. I called and asked for a copy and was told it would have to be done over from scratch because a copy would not be legal as it is not the original. REALLY? This is what Steven Pollak told me. His receptionist may have a different story because I think he answers the phone and she does all the legal work. I was doing a re-fi and had a page that required some blank spaces be filled out with the trust name. (4 blank spaces)I called and he said no problem send it over. I sent it over (e-mail) and he could not open the file so I had to send it a couple of times. He filled out the spaces and e-mailed it back to me. This took about 5 minutes, tops. He filled out the information WRONG!! Lucky for me we had a smart escrow woman that knew how to fill it out correctly at the time of closing. Received a bill from Steven today for that service. $404.00... $132.00 dollars for each phone call I made to asked if he had received it or filled it out. Thats 132.00 a minute or .3 of an hour as he wrote it up. Must be a minimum charge, so 132.00 a call. He charged me for 1.1 hours and nothing should have taken more than 10 minutes TOPS!! I never spent more then 5 minutes total talking to Steven total. Now I could call him and explain to him that he filled it out WRONG and that I had to spend considerable time trying to get the thing straightened out. I would also be charged for helping him fill it out correctly. There is no explanation for the 1.1 hours he charged me, none. I made a huge mistake ever trusting this guy and now along with paying this crook $404.00 I will need to have my living trust done by an attorney that I feel is competent. Do yourself a favor and shop around for someone with lots of reviews that are good. Not just 2. Good Luck with this Jerk! read more

I went to Mr. Pollak with hope that he could help me out. My mother passed away and left a "living trust" that my sister attempted to challenge in court. The trust had a complete "no contest" clause included and my sister still tried to contest it. Mr. Pollak definitely had my best interests and settled the case to my complete satisfaction.
