I called John and he said he would fix it under warranty. He came to the house with a new heating element but it turned out to be a different problem which was with the wiring harness connector. The connector itself was no longer available locally but he found one on eBay, bought it and then installed it. I paid for the part and he said the labor was covered under warranty. I think he is very honest. He could have charged me much more than he did. In the future if I have a problem with any other appliances I will call him and I highly recommend him to all my friends and real estate clients.

He was really nice and knowledgeable and thought it was switches in the door, but his further testing indicated it was the mother board, which he ordered and came back the following Saturday to replace the old one. After he left, we tried it. Same problem. He came a third time, on SUNDAY, took out the board and installed the 3 switches. Solved the problem! Considering the time and travel both ways 3 times, his charges were reasonable, he's had lots of experience, and his attitude was great. Plus, we got to meet his sweet family! But this experience has been the opposite. Not with the technician, but the office. I was trying to ask for a price breakdown of the repair job and no one can give me a straight answer. One quote from the tech, that he didn't write down, so I called the office to get it on paper so we could make a decision about whether to fix the machine or get a new one. Got two different emails with lists of parts and prices, but they don't give a total repair cost. And when I add them up, the totals are different. I called the office for clarification and verbally got another different total from a guy who didn't seem to even know what I was asking. This obviously is confusing to me that all the repair estimates are different so I try to call to get clarification. I've probably called 5-6 times over a period of two weeks can can't get a straight answer from the people how pick up the phone, nor can I get a call back from the manager to explain the quotes. Gave me a quote for the part and service. Did not have the part rushed to the warehouse before they closed and installed the part. Installed part still not working right had to disassemble parts of the furnace to get to ta hidden sensor, replaced sensor and furnace has worked better than it has for years.
