They explained that they are not in the business of gouging customers. A brand name, high quality, high efficiency, two stage full HVAC replacement came in at HALF the first quote - soup to nuts. The whole deal. Labor, parts, inspections. Everything. They showed up on time, were super respectful and responsive, and did great work. Could not be happier. Truly great work!

For the last 3 years we have had issues with our AC freezing when we turn it on-regardless of HVAC saying it's fine upon our yearly inspection. Over the last 3 years we have spent over 2k on top of our maintenance plans trying to get this fixed. They have sent out tech telling us "everything is fine" Or "it's fixed" only for it to freeze the first time it comes on in the summer. The last visit was the final straw-- $700 bill for 2 techs to come out, at $145 an hour, to fix a problem that should have been fixed 3 years ago. We paid the bill, but I would never recommend their services or their service plans. It's a joke. They just keep sending techs that never fix the problem and keep charging more.

He did it at a super reasonable price too. A couple weeks later, we noticed a leak. We thought it was the water heater, so we called. Brian came right out that day to take care of it. It turned out to be the air conditioner, which had been very poorly maintained in the past. He went above and beyond cleaning it and solving the problem. Again, he was fast, friendly and did it right, again showing us photos of everything, and again, it was far cheaper than we expected. I can't recommend them highly enough!

He was very courteous and respectful of our carpeting. He shared details of his work, before and after photos, and removed drop cloths and replaced parts. Then he explained the bill in detail to ensure I understood the work he had accomplished. I cannot say enough about the timely, professional help I received from Talmich. I will never use fountain valley mechanical again. I used them to install a new boiler less than a…read moreyear ago. At the time they installed it, they removed the backflow preventer that was connected to the boiler and forgot to reinstall it. This had been installed on the previous boiler and was required by law. It was laying on the floor. I called them back, told them they needed to reattach this as it is required by law and they came back and put it back on. Now approximately six months later, I had a RP backflow inspection that is required annually. The backflow inspection failed and it leaked in the brand new boiler Fountain Valley had just installed. The inspector noticed Fountain valley made a mistake putting two backflow preventers on the boiler now, instead of just the single testable backflow device that should be attached to the boiler. There are now two devices, one that is testable (the one I had them reattach) and one they installed that does not need to be there and is not testable. If someone at fountain valley knew what they were doing they would not have installed the non testable device as it was redundant. I didn't need it and yet I was charged for it. In addition, they turned both valves to the backflow device off causing water pressure issues. I called fountain valley and told them the backflow preventer is leaking and my inspection failed. Matt, the owner came out and proceeded to start yelling at both my plumber and me. He swore at us and used extremely vulgar language claiming they did nothing wrong. They obviously didn't know what they were doing. They installed a duplicate backflow device that isn't testable, messed up my testable backflow device and turned off both valves to the device. I had to pay the inspector/plumber on site to fix all of their mistakes on a brand new boiler. Ridiculous. I will never use them again.

They came out in Jan 2023 when the cold ruptured our kitchen water lines in numerous places. Not only did the repairs in brutal cold working on his back to access the outside crawl space but he installed two shut off valves so if this happens again we will not have to shut all the water off to the whole house. The price of regular inspections has remained steady for years. Techs have always been friendly, professional and informative. Highly recommend this company.
