If they don't want kids touching nothing might as well put them up high in your head probably!! But YOU DONT SCREAM TO NOBODY'S KIDS!! That's just mean and rude!!!! Starting from the beginning... It's a little hard to find behind moon bean cafe or something like that it's in an alley kind of cool though, walking in... BAM! The savory aroma of baked goodness! ^_^ Greeting by a nice employee not sure what to try it being my first time there and all.. Another employee walks in greets me makes small and compliments my daughter's outfit and talks to her as well, guides me around my likes... Then I'm told I'm the first yelp customer! :D yay!!!! I got excited lol So I walk out with 5 cupcakes in a pretty little pink box not knowing what to expect sometimes looks can be deceiving... In this case they WEREN'T! :) I LOVED them all ESPECIALLY the peanut butter jelly cupcake brought back childhood memories:') I love them I love food not crazy for sweets but this place I will go to forever now! This is by far my favorite cake place. There are some good places here in McAllen but they don't have the same honest feel as CCs does. (In fact one in particular feels very pretentious because they won a contest on TV) CCs, however is run by the nicest people you could imagine. Their store is small and quaint. If you don't know where they are, they are in the same plaza as Moonbeans Coffee, off of N 10th. They provide free samples, a great cupcake selection that varies each day, and they also do catering and I believe they do full sized cakes also, but don't quote me on that one. They have a little gift section also for those added touches if you are giving cupcakes as a gift. If you have a sweet tooth, this will be your home away from home. I cannot say enough good things about this place, but they deserve it as you can tell how hard they work to achieve what they set out to do. read more

To update on my previous review of 4 years ago, their service changed. Due to COVID-19, the inside of the store is closed. Service is only curbside and delivery. It is great to see as this pandemic is far from over. The 5 stars is well earned. I bought from their Harry Potter Week menu. It had a variety of products to choose from cupcakes, macrons, cookies, etc. As these items are sold out frequently, the website sets up a time to purchase the items for the next day. It was an ease to choose the products and pay on the website. As we arrived, due to pre-ordering, it took less than 2 minutes for an employee to hand us our cupcakes. It is good to know that a portion of their sales go toward RGV Mutual Aid for this week. Great Service. Would recommend to anyone. read more

They've always been an excellent business that supports the community. Customer service is always #1 priority, I've experienced it and seen it first hand with other customers. All the recent negative reviews have been due to the wrong doings of the owner's daughter and they've done a great job owning up to their mistake. In today's "Cancel Culture" some people are just ready to pounce and spew hate rather than forgive. It's so easy to do when you're on the other side of the spectrum. Wonderful experience! I live in CT and was looking online for a local bakery to send a birthday treat to a dear friend in McAllen. The online order process was extremely easy and with a terrific menu (I chose the Baker's Choice Box). Customer Service was friendly and professional (I called with a question about delivery instructions) -- my order was processed and delivered same day. Before leaving the valley, I was a part of Food Not Bombs RGV. When the valley suffered through a flood in summer 2018 I asked several small businesses if they'd be willing to donate to FNB and CC's did not hesitate to help out the community. My absolute favorite place for a sweet treat or as they say "tweet" ! The staff is amazing and super friendly even when the shop gets a little hectic when packed. They always come out with new creative treats the sweet potato cheesecake cupcake is amazing! Their brownies, macarons(espresso, nutella, green tea strawberry) pop tarts, and they now have "PUPTREATS" which are dog friendly cupcakes Genius! Cutest bakery in McAllen! I ordered a bakers choice box and the process was easy & i felt safe knowing they were abiding by CDC guidelines and doing curbside. My box came with macaroons, cookies, cupcakes, and brownie/cookie cakes that were all delicious with a beautiful presentation! Amazing service! They have new modified ways to order due to COVID-19 that are so convenient. My mom and I always make the trip to McAllen to order from them! CC's Sweets is my favorite bakery! My mom and I have been loyal customers since 2014 and we keep coming back. They have an amazing selection of flavors for macarons and cupcakes that are absolutely delicious! My favorite treat is the cookie dough Oreo brownie which is just perfection. I love CC's so much! If I ever have a bad day, my husband will surprise me with a cupcake or two to make me smile. Their cupcakes are supremely soft, icing is always blended to perfection (no grittiness), cookies are balanced between chewy and crunchy.
